Great hostel in a great location”
I stayed in a Deluxe private room which exceeded my expectations. The room was clean with a big bed, air conditioning, hot water and a balcony over looking the street. The bed was comfortable and everything worked as it should. The hostel is located at the beginning of the tourist area and opposite a mosque. It is located on Ao Nang muslim street which has amazing food options all of which are halal, the food is also much cheaper than 5-10 mins walk away. The food is excellent. Next door to the hostel there is a self service laundry which is useful and was very cheap compared to other places. There are ATMS, lots of restaurants, 7/11 all a few steps away. The hostel provides drinking water in the room everyday, there is also coffee available throughout the day. There is a good communal area and juice bar at the front of the property which turns into a bar at night. I met some nice people here although it isn’t a party hostel if that is what you are looking for. The staff were friendly and well informed. I would recommend this hostel.

My boyfriend and I stayed for 4 nights and were so happy we spent a little more for a private room! It was massive and had a wonderful patio overlooking the neighbourhood. We were able to park our rental car in front for free. The staff were so helpful and friendly booking our tour and spoke great English. Our room was cleaned and restocked daily so it was more a hotel than hostel! Unfortunately no elevator up to the 3rd floor. But the clean apartment style room made up for that. You could hear people chanting several times a day at the nearby mosque which was really cool and peaceful! I loved that we weren’t right at the beachfront which is super loud and busy. There are so many restaurants and shops to walk past on the way to the beach which takes about 15 minutes. Wish we could have stayed longer!!! Highly recommend taking a long rail boat to Railay beach, one of the most beautiful beaches you’ll ever see :)

I stayed 4 nights. Perfect location. Right in the middle. Quick walk to the beach. Not in the party scene so quiet at night. The rooms were clean. The 6 bed was better than 4 because of the big window. I wouldn’t stay in the 4 again. The staff was friendly and nice! The bed extremely hard and dense, but would stay again.

I enjoyed and would recommend my stay at Pop-in hostel! It’s really well located, about a 12 minute walk to the beach and great food everywhere. It’s a good social hostel but not so big for partying which was a benefit when you’re trying to sleep at night. The beds were quite hard and it was kind of loud near the street (which is just typical for Ao Nang in general), but the air conditioning was perfect and honestly if you’re tired from the beach, you’ll have no issue sleeping. The staff were really nice and helpful and the hostel was super clean which was a plus! They provide shampoo and soap, and coffee and tea in the morning. Had a great 4 nights here!

I stayed here back when Covid-19 first started messing up the tourism in the area so my review might not be representative of Pop-In at its full glory. The place is quiet, clean and modern. Bathrooms are shared but they are some of the vest I have seen in Thailand. The location is good. 7 eleven, Tesco, restaurants, the beach, laundry, Makro, pubs and nightclubs are all within walking distance. The hostel itself has a very small communal area which closes at 10pm and the aircon is turned off during the day regardless of whether or not you have left the room. The matresses are thin and uncomforatable to sit on for long periods. There is also no communal kitchen so food has to be bought and eaten outside, which is expensive in Ao Nang. If you don't know the area and you are wondering whether here or Krabi is better for you, then here is better. Krabi is more residential and Ao Nang is the tourist place that you need to be at. The staff were ok. Maybe it's just me but I felt that they viewed me as an inconvenience. I wasn't greeted well and I felt as though I was interrupting just to ask a question. When the all accommodation in the province was ordered to shut as a measure against the spread of Covid-19, we were notified by a note on the wall. There was little effort to spread the message or help with onward travel. But this was an extraordinary time so maybe the stress of the situation affected how they treated everyone. Overall, I would stay here again. It was clean, modern, had great showers and was centrally located. The price was the best at the time and if it is a good deal again it would be a good place to base yourself for a couple of days.
