"very pleasant peaceful stay, big room with good view from balcony, excellent pool, friendly staff hotel description out of date it's now a 3 star hotel in the past it was 4 star some parts of hotel are run down and look as if haven't been open for long time, locks on balcony broken and hot water only in morning and evening, there is no beach in front of hotel they are currently building a promonade all along pranburi seafront breakfast is served 6am to 10am it depends on number of guests if you get a buffet or set menu, breakfast is average, but plentyfull, after 10am kitchen was closed,so no food available or room service after 10am,but there are restaurants outside the hotel no complementary shuttle service we were charged 300thb for pick up from pranburi bus station which was about 15 minutes drive potentially this could be an excellent hotel it just needs upgrading to get back to its former 4 star rating they was working on parts of hotel so hopefully it will be restored "

"I really liked the pool in front of my room also, felt like staying in my own place. The owner made tradition Thai breakfast and the best part was the owner allow my family to cook and BBQ next to the poor. PS. Not good idea to stay if you don't have your own car because there is no any kind of transportation from the city to this place. Defenetly to come back again soon"

"Golden Pine is at Haad Paknam Pran, its a beachfront property with a decent elevated infinity swimming pool. This time of the year the ocean was too rough for enjoying the beach, the tide was high throughout and Paknam Pran's beachfront has suffered from sand erosion. The villa is good, you can see the ocean and enjoy the breeze from the front of the villa, sure wish they would replace the old chairs with loungers to be more comfortable. The amenities in the room is sorely lacking and would be a bigger issue if it weren't for the location and the staff. if you go Pranburi - take your bicycle or rent one. Golden Pine has a few bicycles that guests can use for free, they aren't so good but they are managed well in that the brakes and tires are cared for."

"Our stay was very nice, it is especially the stuff of this small resort /only 2 bungalows made from soil) and the restaurant what makes it special. You can expect simple but clean rooms with nice vintage pieces of furniture and variety of western&thai food in the restaurant. The owners are gourmets and they will make your stay there very pleasant by reccomending fresh meal from menu or delicious wine which will match the taste. Family atmosphere is overhelming and very relaxing. The owners care about their guests and stay in the house just cross the road, so even early or late check ins are not a problem. Such as forgetting to buy a moskyto repellent is not problem, as you can find some at reception table every day. Sleeping in the rooms is comfortable, as long the bungalow is made from earth and other green materials, there are some sounds in the night from the roof made of dryed grass. I think it was gecco (hopefully not rat) and I informed the owner so there is the way how to fix it... Globally, this place is amazing and higly recommended by me and my grilfriend. (There are also bicycles for free to explore beautiful long beaches around Pranburi.) One thing about Hua Hin Police - on the way back to Hua Hin /about 25 minutes/ with our rented motorcycle, we were stopped under the viadukt in Hua Hin by local police - we both had helmets and saw couple of motorcycles with drivers infront of us without helmets just passing by policeman waiting for foreigners. Get 400 Baht bill for not having a licence. Policeman was very concious about his action and tried to "hide" my payment under the document he had in his hand. The authorities should do some action against these policemen as they are targetting the tourists, which bring money and help local economy... These are not all policemen in Hua Hin, just the bad ones. This problem is already known in Hua Hin, but so far there was no action..."

"Review could be lower, but while some things (No maid service, disappointing breakfast choices, kids yelling around the pool until 11pm) were in the hotel's control, some things (power outage, no nearby restaurants, staffer breaking through the patio floor at breakfast service) were not. Still, not a lot of options for food or even basics (nearest 7-eleven = 3.7 km) nearby, even though it is fairly (less than 1 km) from Pranburi station. Overall, just not what we expected for the amount paid."

"I stayed 3 nights and I am very happy with their services. Room and are nicely designed reception (I love the furniture so much). Friendly, helpful and the politest staff I’ve ever seen in Thailand. Especially the old lady in restaurant is very caring, smiley and super cute <3 Great club sandwiches, fresh fruits and surprisingly salty egg pudding (so called Chawanmushi in Japanese and this pudding here tastes better than Japanese ones). Cycling along the coast is amazing (bicycles are free of charge). I went to Khao Kalok beach and restaurants/cafe nearby every day. They kindly offered me free rides between the hotel and Hua Hin city center/bus station. One reminder: you’d better bring a toothbrush. To be honest it’s middle of nowhere but I strongly recommend this hotel for those who are looking for quiet and heartwarming holidays. "
