Location - only a 15min walk to Victoria train station Value for money - for where I need to be, it’s perfect! But, where I was, it was kinda noisy as you could loudly hear people talking from outside. Facilities - need more working bathrooms, womens rooms need a mirror, individual lights will be helpful, a privacy screen would be great. Cleanliness - it was pretty clean and tidy. Staff - didn’t have much interaction with staff. Experience - my first night was quite hard to sleep as there were people outside who were talking really loud and you could hear them upstairs where the room was. The next morning, around 8am, the constant banging of the door and the steel cupboard was an unpleasant experience, I guess it was the cleaner cleaning the room already, that early, after having a hard time sleeping the night before, it was kinda annoying. Also, I have asked for a lower bed as I suffer from chronic pain but they have given me a top bed which was really hard for me to climb up to. Anyway, I will be staying here again in the future as it’s convenient for what I need. I just hope they will give me a lower bed next time. This place is cheap, it’s centrally located, they have food and reception 24/7, it’s convenient, they provide you a bed to stay.. if that’s all you need then it’s good!

The White Ferry is a nice hostel with friendly staff in Pimlico and unlike many other Publove locations is far from the bustle of London’s commotion despite being very central. The staff is attentive and professional and very friendly. The Publove chain of hostels has clearly put a lot of attention to detail: ice water being available 24/7, a single click gains one access to their Wi-Fi internet’s which is nice because I find it very frustrating that their competitors make you jump through hoops just to get on the Wi-Fi that you have paid for as a guest. So my only minor complaints are that each location including this one has window guards/ties that only allow them to be opened minimally if at all. As the summer months approach it is quite warm in the hostel and I feel strongly that at a time when the health benefits of good ventilation during the pandemic were made clear; guests should be allowed to open windows as wide as they see fit. One of the rooms I stayed in had a single window that barely opened because of the restrictive ties on them and when I awoke the air was stagnant and the windows had condensation on them due to the poor ventilation. My other complaint is that beds at all of this chain’s hostels do not have reading lamps attached to them like other hostels typically do—which makes finding one’s stuff difficult as some people in the dorms like to go to sleep at 10PM (who are these weirdos?). But other than those minor quibbles this chain and this location especially, is clean, comfortable and is very pleasant to stay in as a guest.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The location was amazing, bus picks up right outside the door. Pub was nice with a good selection of beers. Staff was friendly. The only comment I'll make in the negative will regard the bathrooms. The floor in the bathrooms don't really drain and there's not really enough ventilation to combat the humidity from hot showers. This left every surface of the bathroom wet, all of the time, regardless of how recently someone had last taken a shower. It made it difficult to use the toilet without becoming completely wet unintentionally. Overall, it was a decent place to stay. :)
