Delightful Stay”
We loved our stay! Our villa was gorgeous. We adored our tub! The pool area is beautiful! Koh Trong is a quiet, friendly precious place! The staff is so kind and helpful! We highly recommend Rajabori Villas!

Rajabora Villas turned out to be a tranquil oasis, peaceful gentle and helpful staff. The facilities have old world charm, but all is fully functional. However, we had this place on our own - post-Covid tourism is tragic in these regions. Pay them a visit, you’ll love it and the staff will be thrilled (and employed)

Paradise!”
Rajabori Resort is located on a beautiful island off the town of Kratie. It is the perfect off-the-beaten-track spot for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the modern lifestyle! The traditional Khmer bungalows are redolent of a glorious past and ooze quaint charm. They truly bring you to another time dimension with their beautiful antique furniture. Food is delicious and offers Asian and Western options. The pool is big and relaxing. The staff are friendly and highly efficient. Five stars!

Excellent Place !!”
They gave us a free upgrade to the biggest Two-bedroom Family Bungalow which is so unforgettable. Free pick and drop for the Ferry terminal and Car park was available at the boat terminal easily (2.5 USD per night). We traveled on our own for the dolphin tour which was ofcourse the highlight of the tour. Overall it was an excellent weekend get away from Phnom Penh. Highly recommended.

The lovely staff here made us most welcome and looked after us well during our two night stay. We loved the location on Koh Trong - a truly rural backwater - and the adventure of getting to the hotel by ferry, motorbike and tuk tuk. Set amidst pretty gardens it’s a peaceful place to stay although some music did waft over from the town - after all it was a Saturday night! We loved swimming in the large pool. Breakfast was good although the food generally was a bit hit and miss. Overall, a great place to stay and would recommend.

Rajabori Villas”
we stayed for a few nights with 2 children aged 8 and 10. Rooms are beautiful and the staff super friendly. The food was excellent and a good variety (not a huge amount for vegetarians like myself but perfectly adequate.) we borrowed bikes which had seen better days but the cycle path is so easy, it didn't matter. Did a wonderful kayaking trip with Mr Lucky to see the dolphins, recommended by the hotel staff.

Nice and relaxing on Koh Trong”
Rajabori Villas is basically on the other end of the Koh Trong island. It is nice and quiet with a big pool, nice food. Beautifully maintained gardens with beautiful flower and fauna. Great place to hang out and relax.

Nice stay”
The style of the Villa is amazing, the pool is big and clean, the restaurant good. However in the Villa the walls were not going to the ceiling meaning no privacy. Not an issue being a family with our kids though.

Fancy cottages on an island ”
Spectacular wooden cottages on Son Trang island. Also has a big and deep pool. It is on the opposite end of the island from the ferry landing, so getting to the mainland takes some time (which is good and bad)

Beautiful resort but slowly below our expectations”
A beautiful resort on an island to take some rest. Beautiful individual houses and swimming pool area. Good restaurant. Thus the quality was not aligned to our expectations. The room was not completely clean and quite dark, and some equipments were old and damaged. Still a good place to stay.

Rajabori”
Back to nature vibe. Enjoyable. Was an OK experience. facilities are basic. village style villas with no aircond but we were lucky the weather was cooler at night so it was bearable. A noisy ceiling fan and some of the amenities are a bit dated are our only complain. Not everything on the menu is available, so be prepared for that. if you're getting off the island, do check and ask exactly what time the boat will be there or else be prepared to wait 1 hour - in our case, the receptionist told us we could take the 12 oçlock boat but she failed to mention it was more like 1.30pm

Beautiful location, boiling hot pool”
It seems this place was understaffed. It was a beautiful place, but there was a lot of dust everywhere, the pool was dirty and basic things like wiping the tables after dinner weren’t done so that when you came for breakfast the tables were still dirty from the night before. There were not many staff around, but when they were they tried their best to help. For some reason the pool it was super hot, the hottest pool I’ve ever swam in, so we couldn’t stay in for longer than a few minutes. The island is beautiful as are the accommodations. Getting there is also an experience! Overall it’s a great place that is probably understaffed due to COVID and my guess is that the problems we experienced would not usually be an issue (other than perhaps the hot pool!)

Great respite from the tourist hubbub. ”
i came to stay at sala bungalows kind of by accident through agoda. i needed a place to days before my scheduled arrival at a hotel in kratie. the hotel was special for me but it is definitely not for everyone. there is no tv/radio, no air conditioning, no nets on the windows (though there is one over the bed). the antique furniture and decorations make each bungalow special. breakfast is served in the small restaurant, but is not included which is silly because there is nowhere else to eat in the vacinity. the evening menu is more extensive than one would expect given the hotel's location. the two evening meals i had there were delicious. the hotel staff are eager to please and enjoy informing visitors about their island home. koh trong has a different feel from its neighbor, kratie. nights are very quiet. if you need an active nightlife in your day, sala bungalows is not for you. you have to take a ferry to get to koh trong and sala bungalows and that is part of it's charm. with no autos on the island, you can higher a bike and peddle your heart out without fear of being run down. friendly farmers and a small floating village at the southwest corner of the island make for interesting, relaxed viewing. don't miss the bats at dusk!

Unique hotel, Eco friendly”
i didn't realize there was no hot water and solar energy, but loved it! i also didn't know it would be on a small island across from the town of kratie, accessible only by ferry. although that all sounds a bit difficult, it was one of my favorite places during my trip to cambodia and definitely different then staying in town, which i had done in phnom penh and siem reap. highly recommend for those looking for a different and relaxing experience.

Stunning”
A return trip to the villas after 6.5 years- it was only being built and none of what is now available. A stunning place- the rooms are wonderful and the gardens are glorious- as is the pool. In paradise with a boutique price I expected the service to be better and the food to reflect a Khmer palette rather than French. We had great service from one man but the others seemed distracted by their phones. If it is to compared to The Pavilion and Tea House as part of the group then it needs to lift its game. The island is a delight and well worth a visit. $5 gets you a day by the best pool... beautiful.

It is what it is”
Stayed 1 night 18 Aug 13 in a junior suite upgraded from a double deluxe. We crossed to the island on a private boat rather than using the ferry as advised. To achieve this we left our luggage with our driver in Kratie and only took the items we needed for the night. This meant that the private boat could take us right to the island bank close to the villas. This avoided using the public ferry and then having to travel 3km to the villas. The staff are friendly, helpful, well trained and have good English. The villas have no power during the day. The generator starts at 6pm. The rooms have no frigs or air conditioning and have adequate furnishings with a comfortable sitting area outside the front door. The pool good and large. The restaurant is limited in choice, a bit expensive but the food is OK. Breakfast from the menu was acceptable. The villas are what they are and don’t pretend to be anything else - worth the visit. Rating 7 out of 10.
