Where to stay in Aomori Prefecture
Aomori Prefecture hotels & accommodations

Standard chain hotel in Japan. Good value, clean but very small. Do note that the hotel does provide parking but there are very few lots (approx. 6-7 only). Hence if there aren't any more guest lots, you would have to pay for parking located about 150m away. Do note there are 2 APA hotels in Aomori. This one is further away from the train station. We made a mistake and...

The room I booked was clean and pretty spacious. Bed is comfortable but in-room amenities provided was just all the very basic stuff (dislike the toothbrush which is soooo hard). While the bathroom some how have some leak while you bath or use the basin. Also, it seems like the towels or yukatas are not properly cleaned cause I noticed 1or 2 strands of hair attaching t...

Hotel convenient to Aomori Station, Nebuta Museum, A Factoy, Aomori Bridge. Walking distance and super easy to find. Room was nice and bright, clean for the most part. View of bridge was nice. But when you open the shades to the window (even though the window itself was closed), it became pretty cold! Bathroom was okay. Needs a little updating. For the price I can't ...

We stayed at Art Hotel Color Aomori for 2 nights from 5th Nov to 7th Nov. The hotel location is not too far and at walkable distance from Aomori JR train station. Staffs were nice and checkin and checkout procedure were fast and smooth. They even gave us a free postcard when we checkedin. The bed was comfortable and the room was cozy. Wifi was fast but disconnected fro...

The Staff was very nice! We arrive at the hotel building around 5 PM and it seems to be closed. However there's a staff waiting for us (for I don't know how long) he knows our name and lead us to the other building that is still opened. He takes very good care of us during our stay and give a lot of advice. On the day we check out, at first we have to return the car at...

I was looking for a hotel near castle for one night. This hotel is pretty new and located a few blocks from Castle and garden. I had bit trouble finding it but if you follow the direction for Hirosaki University Hospital you will find it as it is located very near hospital. We had a car so I don't know how far this is from the public transportation. Restaurants are al...

I was in a rush to Hokkaido. So, Sunroute Aomori Hotel was the hotel for the night and I had to catch on the morning train. A small room (10m sq) but it has all the things you need from fridge to internet. AC is working great. There is a Lawson convenient store just across the street. Location is okay considering that only 5 mins walk but a bit hard to find at the firs...

Excellent location, it took us only 660 yen to get here by taxi from the train station, on other days approximately 15 minutes on foot. Lawson's convenient store is connected to the first floor of the building, Terrace Garden, the famous Yokocho alleys and a few cafes are just a few minutes away. Bed is of larger than average size, spacious bathroom, high-tech check-in...

if u coming to see the Towadako Winter Festival, just like me and my friends, better check this hotel out. at some period during the festival, hotel provide free shuttle to guest from and to Hachinohe Station. its not a short journey so really worth the price when we booked the hotel. the room i booked is kinda like the ryokan one so expect to sleep with futon or tatam...

The area is remote with friendly food places, spectacular nature, particularly liked 2 cafes by the lake nearby and the boat trip and walk up Oirase stream. There was a little discrepancy with payment quoted on the web booking which we didn’t question at the hotel as staff had all been brilliant and food locally sourced with huge variety and obviously a brilliant chef

If you want to explore Aomori prefecture, this is the hotel I recommend to you. It's just in front of the Aomori station. From this hotel, you can easily explore around Aomori by train and/or bus. The breakfast is nice and delicious too. There are many restaurants nearby the hotel, and it's walking distance to Nubuta Museum, A-factory, and bay bridge. We went to Hi...

the hotel locate near a JR station in honhachinohe city that don't locate in aomori.when they need to go to aomori, they will go to aomori by train about 30 minute.i went to aomori by local train to Shenkansen station to go to aomori.hotel have good comfortable room and near a convenent store that have a cheap price.

Only hotel available six months before Aomori festival. Everything else was booked out. It is another 5miles from JR Hachinohe station either by subway to Hon-Hachinohe and 20 minute walk, or bus and 15 min walk or 20 min taxi (2000 yen). It might suit people who are looking to travel around Hon Hachinohe as there are goo restaurants and 7eleven nearby.

I stayed in that hotel in my trip to Japan from Sep 28 ~ Oct 9th. Every morning I hear ladys cheering voice of greetin at the breakfast time, I felt so nice through out the day. Because, I was in the middle of family crises in that trip. And, I will be back on my next trip to Japan. Thank you!

A 15 minute walk up a main road from the JR station could be long with heavy packs but there is a tourist bus that can make things more convenient. The check in was fine, although things happen primarily in Japanese and they seem slightly understaffed at the front desk. Amenities are self-serve in the lobby and at elevator exits. Room has a very clean "Gradma's cottag...

Toyoko inn is my preferred budget hotel in Japan. The room is very clean and well maintained with very comfortable bed. The free delicious Japanese breakfast maintains the same high standard and different type of food were provided on the two days I stayed. Staff at Toyoko inn are very friendly and warm! Highly recommend!

The hot spring is quite disappointing, because there were few apples in the pool. So if you're targeting the apple hot spring, I would suggest you give up on this hotel. Overall speaking, this hotel is too expensive, depends on their hardware and foods. However, the staffs were nice and helpful, and they provide free shuttle bus from JR station.

Grand Park Hotel far exceeded my expectations for the quality of the facilities and service of the staff. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The deep soaking tub was fantastic at the end of a long day. The hotel is located in the heart of Hachinohe and was a short walk to everything that I wanted to do. I recommend their breakfast buffet as it to...

Excellent location. Front desk consisted of one experienced staff and one trainee. Trainee had charged my card on check-in and called my room in the evening again to say I had not paid. I tried explaining to him that he charged me once already, but he did not understand any English. He proceeded to charge my card again. The next morning, he realized he had double charg...
Cheap places to stay in Aomori Prefecture

The location is good, not far from the bus station, it's not the hostel's fault that Towadako is a very rural place, and places are spread out, so some walking is still needed. I went in an unexpectedly cold autumn, and the gas heaters has a strong gasoline smell, and the hostel being large, some places are not heated, that's my only complaint. The owner is extremely n...

I love my stay here! It feels so homey. The owners speak a little English but they are very nice. They can also provide breakfast and dinner so I suggest you avail of that. The hostel's location is near the Lake Towadako JR Bus Stop so it is very convenient. The hostel can be reached either from Aomori or Hachinohe Station (~1.5 hours away). Make sure that you arr...

First, it's not a piece of cake walk from Aomori station.(the station itself is cute, its little details) Taking bus might be useful, you might want to learn more about Aomori bus, there is bus stop near the hotel and it's a very convenient mode of transportation here. Along Shin-machi Dori(Road) is many cute little shops for killing bores.(not to the point of being sh...

The house is very clean, warm and has a washing machine. It took us only 3 min, with 3 big luggage, to get the house from the Aomori train station. Very convenient for moving to Hakodate and to Tokyo by train. The owner was very very kind. She recommended us an excellent restaurant located very near the house. We had dinner there twice and it was the best restaurant (b...

Although we stayed here for only 1 night, we already found that the staff service is perfect. Free parking provided. Location is good. Room is extremely clean. With this price, it is worth to stay here for few nights if you are vising Towada area.

We have some problem with luggage, because we use train to get this hotel. There was no escalator in Honhachinohe station. Staff in this hotel help us to find a van, then we don't need to go to Honhachinohe again, because we could go through Hachinohe Station. It's really help. Thanks to the staff..:-)

My daughter & I stayed at this hotel. Great location. A bit over priced. The staff were friendly & accommodating, but the website is misleading. This is actually a business hotel. The 'coffee shop' is a mere table with coffee machine dispenser. We were given a free coupon for 1 drink each each day. The communal baths stated as part of the 'hotel's facilities' was in f...

Great enthusiastic service from staff, they are willing to try to help even when the request can be out of the norm. From one side of the hotel you can see Mount Iwaki and Hirosaki Castle. It is as clean as it can get, with odour removal equipment at customer discretion. Breakfast buffet was the best breakfast I had in Japan, and I was there for a week.

Hirosaki City Business Hotel Shinjuku is a pretty standard Japanese style low-end business hotel. Far cheaper than the ubiquitous Toyoko Inn, from which it is just across the road (both are slap-bang in front of Hirosaki Station), and nice enough. What made the hotel stand out was the lovely lady running the (family-owned) place. I arrived in town too late for any of ...

4-star hotels in Aomori Prefecture

The Daiwa Roynet stands out as a dark monolith, quite hard to miss - just follow the covered footpath, if you are coming from the station (5-10 min). Opened in September 2018 it is the newest of Aomori hotels. French windows (which cannot be opened) gives a super view on the city centre, the bathroom is not one of these plastic cubical bathroom which you find in many b...
