Where to stay in Chiapas State
Chiapas State hotels & accommodations

The hotel is located at a 5 min walk away from the Bus station. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The food was excellent. The staff was always attentive and courteous. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone. It has all the comforts and amenities the your average traveler might need and more. The public transportation that takes you to Palenque stops right ...

Great little cabanas with nice jungle setting. Private baths with hot water. Located a bit out of town on the same road to the ruins. The staff was awesome! Rene was incredibly helpful and great to chat witg. Overall great stay. Would possibly consider your own transportation, we rented a scooter in town. Although a taxi ride is quick and cheap.

This is a big hotel and not the typical place we would stay, but we had been a high elevation and were suffering from altitude sickness. We needed some care and comfort and the services of people who spoke English and we found all of those things in the Marriott Hotel in Tuxtla Gutierrez. We also found peace and quiet, friendly helpful staff, very comfortable beds an...

Nice hotel with a convienant location. Most excursions are out of the main town area, so you either need your own transport or book a tour. The town itself has plenty of typical tourists shops and lots of choices to eat. The hotel was clean, had nice hot water and breakfast included. Wifi was very spotty, bus was strong in the lobby where breakfast was served.

Not the most social hostel due to it being all private rooms and just one 6 bed dorm. The beds were amazing! Mattresses were so comfortable, felt like i was in a tree house, staff were amazing and super helpful and 10/10 for the lady at reception who was as terrified as me of spiders but made sure the garden spider that had wandered intl my room was removed safely.

Very good lcoation, on the way to the archeological site while still 5mn by "combi" to Palenque downtown and Las Canadas. Great pool and rooms with a feeling to be right in the middle of the jungle. Recent A/C. Good restaurant and rapid checkin/out. My only remark would be about the level of Englis hofthe staff, sometimes insufficient.

This hostel is a perfect place and relax after a long day of exploring the ruins and other sights. it is super clean with large lockers to store your things. the Air conditioner works well. The hostel is located at a 5 minute walk from the main ADO bus station and a 10 minute walk from the centro.

This is an excellent hotel with charm, at the city centre of San Cristobal de las Casas, with nice rooms, comfortable beds, and a good patio and common area. They also have a deal with a nearby parking lot where one can park the car. We stayed two nights with our four children. The staff was nice and helpful.

We arrived after our visit at the archeological zone, we checked in fast, then the staff gave us a welcome drink. After put our staff in the hotel, we went to the pool, which is sooo big and there are many hammocks around the pool. We visited the parrots, they were so nice... So globally we had a very pleasant stay at Ciudad Real!

This hotel was fine for what I needed at the time. It was easy to walk to everything that you want to see, find food etc. The window opens on to the courtyard so there was not a lot of natural light., but I found it to be quiet. The wifi did not work well at all so if you need to work remotely you would want to make sure you were in a room closer to the street as it wo...

I chose this hotel becasue in the Agoda search filters I select the option breakfast included, so I had like 5 option of hotels with this amenity but I end up with Hotel Mansion del Valle (I have the screen shots of the breakfast included very clear), when I paid after the taxes, fee, etc. I could not see any written indications that said breakfast included, I’m not a...

this is a marvellous little 2 story hotel around a central garden overlooking the mountains around san cristobal. the rooms are huge and decorated in beautiful spanish colonial style. breakfast is basic but good quality. staff is very friendly. 3 blocks walk from the ave guadalupe with restaurants, bars and shops. if you have a car, parking is 2 blocks away which is ki...

we were so happy to stay at the chablis--it's in the leafy, green oasis of the la canadana section of palenque--a 5-7 minute walk to the town's commercial section. it's just around the corner from the combi stop where you catch the collectivo to the ruins--about a 10 minute ride away. we actually walked back to the chablis after spending the day at the ruins followed...

The best thing about this hotel is its staff. They were always helpful and answered all our questions and needs. The rooms are very quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. I highly recommend it especially if you like Mexican food. The location is perfect. It is close to anything you might need and accessible to public transportation to the many tourist spot...

The rooms are nice and beautifully situated in pavilions in a beautiful garden area. The pool is big and nicely set surrounded by trees. Palenque ruins are just a short hitchhike away – just hale down one of the minibuses that commute between town and the ruins. The only downside was the restaurant. The food was not great and expensive. Especially the lack of real Mexi...

this hotel for me turned out to be a very good deal. the price was right, very reasonable, which is a good way of saying that it could have been lower. the staff was warm and receptive, which is a good way of saying that no one spoke english but nevertheless was able to understand what i was saying. the rooms were really cleaned everyday, which is a good way of sayin...

We booked 2 nights, but we had to leave after one. The room was dirty and the blankets and pillowcases were not washed since longtime. We found hairs in the bed. We had to cover the blankets with the towels to be able to sleep in a sort of healthy situation. Unacceptable level of hygiene in a public strcture.

Conveniently situated in Palenque, within walking distance of the ADO bus station and collectivo minibuses. Easy to get to the Maya archaeological site by minibus (20 pesos each). The hotel is clean and comfortable and serves an excallent breakfast of fresh fruit, cereals, toast and coffee. Friendly reception and chambermaids. Same day laundry service. Slight problem w...

If visiting San Cristobal again I would stay here at this bed and breakfast, comfy, cozy and clean.. the only thing is our room is right by the front desk so you can here everything early in the morning but since we were planning on getting early starts to our day it was no bother for us . The staff is incredibly friendly!

This hostel is totally recommendable. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, and the Location is central. As already stated in the Hotel description, the street is really loud and so is the room at night, sometimes there are even concerts at the Roof top at night. So be prepared! The staff is friendly, but could not handle all our requests (e.g. tourbooking) an...

Great stay. Excellent value and well-located. Staff gave me a wake-up call for an early morning flight and arranged a friendly and English-speaking taxi driver for me. I felt very safe and well taken care of and the room had nice small touches like qtips, notepad, etc.

Pleasantly surprised by this little hotel. The location was great & close to the historic center, museums & restaurants. Everywhere was easily reached on foot. We booked our half day tour with the travel agency next door to Chamula a village close by. I highly recommend this eye-opening tour into the local indigenous culture. The staff were very friendly & helpful & ga...

The staff are really nice and helpful. The location is great. But the noise from early morning cleaners / late night rowdy guests and an almost all night Karrioke bar made the noise spoil it. And the internet doesn’t really work. Sorry. Liked the staff but the noise was too much.

This was my first time staying here, I have stayed in other properties in town in the past. This one was remarkably quiet given it's location. Set back off the street enough to leave the crowds and the music in the street and not your room. The interior is echo prone, so if other guests are noisy you will hear that - but that is an unavoidable problem with this cons...

Helpful staff, clean & spacious room but location can come across as dodgy if you're a solo female traveller since it's off the main roads (less street lights) and a good 15 to 20-minute walk to the main square. The ADO bus stop is easy to reach, though.

At the time of writing this review, we have stayed in ten mid-range, town centre hotels around Mexico, since our arrival. Unfortunately, this one was the only disappointing one of them all. The room (#12) was pokey and smelt stale. The bathroom was even more cramped. The sink was surrounded by mould and rusty water had to be allowed to run out from the shower before we...

This hotel is excellent value. It is situated in a lovely, quiet, leafy area, which is just around the corner from the lively town centre. The rooms are very comfortable and clean...with great water pressure in the bathroom! It would be hard to find better value than this in Palenque.

The ladies on reception were so patient with me and my mediocre Spanish, thank you all. They sent us on a trip to Cañon del Sumidero, a fantastic boat trip up river, was really stunning. The restaurant staff were also top notch, Robin Alexander gave me a great recommendation to take a taxi out to a bridge to get views of the entrance to the canyon, for 100 pesos retur...

Beautifully designed high quality rooms with brand new and tasteful furnishings. Beautiful juliet balcony view into the courtyard with flowers. We had an extremely comfortable stay here. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Location perfect.
Luxury hotels in Chiapas State

Unfortunately it wasn't the best. We did get food poisoning which wasn't great and made our stay less enjoyable. They didn't serve dinner which wasn't great as was quite remote. Breakfast was nice though. Make sure you close your suitcases as I had a moth lay eggs in mine! However what did I expect being in the Jungle

This place is well located in the jungle area off the main road to the ruins. The breakfast is healthy and delicious! The setting is great. There is easy access to walk to the main road if you don’t have a car and pick up a collectivo to/from the ruins. What made our two day stay most memorable was how helpful, generous, & hospitable Carlos was. He was informative...

We never actually got to stay in the Magnolia Suites. We booked to stay in the suites and promptly sent an email using their website to inform them that we would be arriving late in the evening. I did not get a response but assumed that this would be ok. When we arrived there was nobody to let us in. I then called the telephone number provided on the website and was t...
