Where to stay in Fukushima Prefecture
Fukushima Prefecture hotels & accommodations

Staffs were hospitality welcoming us. checkin and checkout were smooth. Room was clean with standard japanese room space. breakfast selection was superb; however, the queue management was not so pleasure. onsen was great. overall, we recommend the hotel if you plan to stop by Fukushima! Tip: we rent bike nearby the hotel to Fukushima Inari Shrine too.

An excellent value hotel which is near to the airport and offers everything to make your stay as comfortable and easy as possible. If you only need to stay by the airport for the convenience of catching a flight, this is a perfect choice. For the money, you can’t really go wrong. Most importantly, the hotel and rooms are very clean and the bedding comfortable. It is...

I was looking for the closest hotel to Koriyama station because we planned to go to Sendai earlier and wanted to drop the luggage. Compared to others around it was a bit expensive but selected this just for the location. It turned to be the best hotel during our entire stay in Japan. Excellent location, very clean, wonderful staff, larger room, amazing shower, and c...

I wouldn’t recommend booking this place without a car, or extra money to spend on a taxi. The closest bus stop is decently far, and connections to Fukushima station are few and far between, not to mention it’s not much cheaper than calling a taxi to the hotel. The room was pristine, and the staff were glad to clean up for us. We were easily accommodated as three with t...

found this hotel in koriyama to be close to many shops and places of interest in the city. the walk from the station was a short one and the hotel was easy enough to find. was greeted by the great staff in the reception and the room was clean and equipped with all amenities, which made my time here a very pleasant one. would be glad to stay at the apa koriyama aga...

This hotel is located just 200m away from Aizuwakamatsu train station so it’s best for people who wants to get a rest before heading to Higashiyama Or Inawashiro lake since this two location is slightly distanced from train station. (Higashiyama is about 15min by car, while Inawashiro about 50min by car) Hotel reception is very friendly and can speak some fluently Eng...

This hotel has a great location. Less than a 5 minute walk to the train station, convenience stores, restaurants, and bars. All amenities are provided, the rooms are very clean and cozy. Pretty standard size as far as Japanese hotels go but it's not unbearable.

It just outside JR Fukushima Station. The only thing I hate, I was there during the summer festival and the only room left was smoking room.. the cigarette odour was so strong , enough to make me having difficulty in breathing. I bought mask, perfume, room fragrance etc from the nearby store. It helped me to sleep. FYI, I'm alergic to cigarette smoke. It is not the ho...

Close proximity to the train station Impeccably clean Japanese-style room for three people was spacious and futons were comfortable Attentive staff Staff gladly called a day ahead and made a taxi reservation to the train station for my family of six Japanese-style breakfast was delicious

In a city full of history, this hotel is very easy to find on the main road from the train station and only a few minutes walk. I have stayed here twice and both rooms were very quiet and clean. One of the best value for money hotels I have used in Japan (out of 70).

The staff are really nice. They're trying them best to communicate in English with us. I think speak in English will not be a problem. They will prepare your bed during dinner time. Also, they will prepare bath room for you. The room is very clean and the food is very delicious. Highly recommend Tagoto.

I sent a message a day before on agoda to request for free shuttle from fukushima station. I arrived at fukushima station about 30 minutes early and went about looking for the shuttle at west exit and apparently the driver was already there waiting. He checked my name on his name list and i was the only guest on the list but despite that he told me to wait until the ex...

The room is big and exceeded my expectations. The staff are very nice and they provide extra help whenever we inquire about something. It is near Fukushima station that we only need to get a bus to go to Hanamiyama. Near restaurants and convenient stores. Would like to stay here again if I plan to visit Fukushima or near places. Recommended for other travelers.

Hotel right next ot the train station, insulation is good so you can not hear the train noise. There are lot of restaurant near by. The room is clean but a little small for two. Breakfast is ok not great, however the restaurant in the hotel may operated by others.

All the rooms have a beautiful view over a small river and the trees covering the opposite side of the valley. The night was splendidly quiet. The room was large and comfortable . The rotenburo have a view on a small fall. The staff did not speak english but they were able to communicate all necessary informations, in particular the lady at the excellent breakfast, who...

I stayed here with a friend for one night. Not much English is spoken here, no Internet in the room (only wi-fi connection is in the lobby) and it is a very long journey to get to the hotel! We missed the only-once-a-day hotel shuttle bus from Aizuwakamatsu Station so we thought of taking a taxi from Ashinomakionsen Station which is the nearest station to the hotel. Wh...

I stayed at Koriyama for a night after the previous location Fukushima. I selected this hotel because of his convenient location. It just takes less than 5 mins walk from JR station. All the shopping mall/bus terminal are near the hotel and this hotel is a good choice for those want to have their shopping in just one stop.

This hotel is conveniently situated, some five minutes’ walk from the south entrance to Iwaki Station. While I’m not sure when it was opened, the building appears cleaner and newer than most hotels in the area. The rooms are comfortable, and the facilities seemingly meet guests’ demands in general. The common bath on the fourteenth floor is available from 5:00 a.m. to ...

Came to Koriyama for a cave adventure and turns out there was a festival going on that weekend so my friend and I decided to pamper ourselves and stay at a roykan. The facilities were great, there was a sauna, the onsen was very large, breakfast was pretty standard. The staff were kind and helpful. Although they did not speak much English and my Japanese is just sad, ...

We literally just checked-in, slept, and checked-out, so can't comment on the facilities or breakfast or anything, but the staff were lovely and even tried speaking some English to us. I also that female guests are given a choice of 3 beauty items from a selection (face masks and nail files etc) -it was a nice touch and certainly lifted my spirits after a long drive! A...

The smile hotel is primarily a homely hotel. The atmosphere was really warm and friendly. Very good beds for (long)-Europeans. Spacious rooms. The combini down at the corner met all our needs. The staff did not speak English very well but we have solved it with google translate so that was no problem. The station was about 20 minutes walk from the hotel. For the days w...

Located just within a 5 minute walk from the Fukushima Shinkansen, this hotel has the added benefit of being close to 2 major malls for the avid shopper. Facilities were basic, but adequate. My only slight gripe was that the air conditioner couldn't go below 18 degrees, given that the temperature during my stay was on average 12 degrees, the room felt slightly stuffy. ...

great ryokan ! everything was traditional ! Kimono, architecture, onsen.. perfect for backoackers who wants to try somthing local and awesome besides hostels... Very close to great Ramen restaurant. staff to me for trip in the city !!! num 1 sake brewery!

The friendliness of the owner family and the heritage they keep in running this Ryokan makes you coming back. It’s easy to get there by car, otherwise slightly harder. It has its own onsen, but the neighborhood has a lot of top notch onsens if you prefer more fancy facilities. Breakfast was typically ryokan style. Twonlical restaurants provide you with enough delicious...

The quality and standards of the room was the same as I had stayed there before but the staff really made it such a welcoming stay. It was like coming back home. Friendly, ever willing to help and recommend. Superb!!!!! I only wish I could come back more offen. Keep it up guys and Thank You!!!!!

We stayed at the Richmond Hotel Fukushima Ekimae for 5 nights and enjoyed our stay tremendously. Our room was spacious and we appreciated the amenities like free bottled water and the self-service laundry room. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the Fukushima City area.

Perfect for a touring cyclist , konbini right next door , indoor Onsen to soak in and breakfast buffet that all the customers used. Seriously great value for money , it is an older style hotel suited to people of smaller stature but don't let let that stop you from enjoying a hotel that is truly Japanese. I forgot to tell you the buffet area at night is a seafood resta...

The stay was great. The hotel is huge and largely catered to Japanese, probably because it was not a well-known tourist location. The shuttle service helped because the hotel was a little out of the way but it is still not very convenient considering we had a few luggages between us. The hotel is a couple of bus stops away from the train station. We had fun at the br...

The aesthetics of the hotel are somewhat lost in a timewarp. Looks like a Deathstar, set against a staggeringly beautiful backdrop. A cross between a Crest Hotel circa 1982, and Butlins. But staff are super friendly and helpful, the rooms are large by Japanese standards, and the views from the hotel are great. So if you are going to Fukushima, then stay there. Just d...

I wish we had booked more than one night. This hotel was beautiful and I would have loved the chance to explore it more. Our room had a view of a rushing river and forested mountainside. The room itself was beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast was buffet style with traditional Japanese foods. Very yummy. We have tattoos so weren't able to use the public baths, but we ...
