Where to stay in Miyagi Prefecture
Miyagi Prefecture hotels & accommodations

Short 5 minute walk from Sendai station. Hotel is very nice. Easily would be twice as much to stay here if this hotel were in Tokyo. Value and excellent service. Hotel is not a large hotel with only 9 floors. Room size is about average for Japan. Maybe even hair bigger considering I could lay out 2 bags and still walk around the room fine. Quality of materials used in ...

this hotel is really outstanding.. the location is very convenient. .it is attached to the East exit of the Sendai JR station..you do not have to go outside to enter the hotel..it is a very new hotel and has the best in room amenities of any hotel I've stayed throughout the world...virtually everything you might need is here..phone chargers, shavers, hair brushes, loti...

I booked this hotel at the last minute when I had to leave Hokkaido during a typhoon. It was the perfect place to book! I picked up a ekiben at the station on my way over to the hotel and ate it at the bar that had FREE drinks and FREE ice cream! Then I went up to the onsen to do my laundry and take a bath! One of my best nights in Japan that trip!

I booked this hotel via at the very last minute when i could not finish my works in Sendai. I wish to highlight members to be more careful doing the booking. I was rushing into doing the booking & I made a mistake by clicking on 1 person. I ended up paying 4000 yen more for my wife, which I think it was too much. Paying USD156 per night was not worthy. The other mistak...

The customer service was excellent. I think the name of the staff was Miyagi-san.. She was at the counter on 25/4/13 night... I left my mobile phone at a restaurant... I have asked her to help me call the restaturant to check if a mobile found was found. The restaurant staff brought it over to the hotel and Miyagi-san handed it over to me personally! :-)

My husband and I initially chose this hotel because it had the lowest price for our stay. We didn't expect much, but when we arrived we were very pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly and eager to please. Breakfast was fantastic and had lots of choice for my vegetarian self and my meat-loving husband. After 9pm, complimentary ramen was served. This was very...

After booking to stay here for 3 nights I received a message from the hotel saying there would be a blackout. I was fine with this after reading as it stated that the blackout would be from 1.00am-5.30am which would be fine as we would be asleep anyway. We arrived on the first night after travelling from Tokyo (around 8pm) and needed to go out for dinner. We went out f...

Excellent location, good value for money and efficient and friendly staff. The only thing that I did not like was that the bed and pillow were too hard for my taste, and that the breakfast options were a little adventurous, although coffee and simple bread buns were available, as well as scrambled eggs, sausages and yoghurt. Westerners may bear this in mind when bookin...

I stayed 3 nights. The second day when I returned to hotel, found a card from housekeeping stating that they were unable to do housekeeping due to fact that someone was in the room, which is impossible as I was travelling alone and left the hotel at 730am and only went back at 830pm. Highlighted to the reception, but seems like they don't understand what I mean. I su...

The hotel's location is great. It is close to Sendai's main station and there are so many convenience stores around it. Room is big, more than enough for the three of us. It was also very convenient to be able to buy the Senday Loople tickets from the hotel. Friendly front-desk staff!

If you are looking for a modern, clean capsule hotel with great amenities, i highly recommend any of the 9h hotels. They all come with the best facilities including shower, lockers and of course the famous Toto toilets. Capsule size is quite large, definitely no issues with it at all, however only comes with one power port which can be challenging. Location is great...

it's one of the best hotel experience I had in Japan. It is so beautiful, quiet and clean, the staffs after super caring and friendly too. Love the onsen very much, as this hotel could be located at a more secluded place they have little guests too, so the onsen is never crowded. Room is the most spacious I ever seen in Japan. Will definitely return when I'm back to Se...

Staff are friendly, even though it is an old aged facility hotel, but the policy there are superbest, i think this is my best stay experience in japan. I did not take up the breakfast, which need 900yen to be paid on the spot if your booking did not include. so cant comment on this.

Right in the neighborhood of the Sendai downtown area without paying the exorbitant costs. Located near the shopping arcade and great restaurants. Simple stay for a great price. Solid Japanese style cafeteria breakfast every morning. If you are familiar with Japanese travel hotels, this is a good one. If you are some foreigner expecting some 5 star experience book...

We spent 6 nights in this hotel and enjoyed every minute. Fantastic location, the staff is helpful with a constant smile, very good breakfast with the best coffee we had in Japan , very good house keeping, a very nice public bath (Onsen) - what can I say, amazing amazing amazing.

This is a fantastic hotel. The staff and greeting were fantastic as well. The room and view were also were above board. The two draw backs for us was the fact that it was so far away from the train station and the beds were very hard. I like a firm bed by western standards, but not as hard as Japanese might like. So the location for train access and the firmness of the...

There's not much to say other than that the wonderful staff made our weekend absolutely magical!!! Our only complaint was that the shower in our room wouldn't find a suitable temperature, we could only get it to be too hot or too cold, but this isn't even a problem if you opt to shower and bathe in the onsen, which we did. A couple forewarnings, dinner isn't available ...

We opted to book this hotel because (1) it was close to Sendai station and our event venue (2) it was within our budget. The hotel had great service, offering us a bigger bed than what was booked (since the hotel wasn’t full) and was accommodating when my friend checked out later than required. It is located close to the shopping street with many dining options. It’s a...

The hotel room was bigger than I expected. It was clean and the beds were very comfortable. When I booked the room, it said it wouldn't have a shower. But when I got there, there was a shower, bathtub, and a bathroom. Very happy with that. Will book again if I visit Sendai again.

I stayed at Value The Hotel Sendai Natori for lack of other choices, but there's nothing to complain about. It's a very decent place for travelers on a budget, even with the lack of public transportation except taxis. My room was quite large for a Japanese hotel, exceedingly neat and with good lighting. Surprisingly, the toilet seat wasn't the customary washlet, just a...

The hotel has everything you need during travel. They provide us a smart phone with wifi and you can use it anywhere. They provide free laundry, which is very helpful for long stay. They provide all the information of local tourism and most updated information. They provide basic breakfast, however, never change daily. I stay for 7 days and I give up the breakfast for ...

The rooms are fine according to Japanese standards. During our stay, we had a problem with the toilet, and the staff was very nice and upgraded our room to a deluxe room. The only drawback about this hotel is in my opinion the breakfast, which was not as good at the other hotel that we have been to. For a westerner, the choice of food for the breakfast may not be very...

I stayed in a discounted "Double King" room and loved it. The hotel room was very clean, and had modern-looking, stylish and comfortable linens. There was parking available in the hotel but at an additional fee of ~1100 yen for the night. I'm not sure what the rates are for a longer stay. However, this rate is consistent with the rates offered by the private parking...

This was a good basic hotel. Rooms were tight by American standards, but average for Japanese hotels. Slippers, pj, toothbrush, razors, bath sponges were provided. Staff were cordial. Location was a few blocks from main shopping arcade but a cab ride recommended if coming from Sendai station. Breakfast was the true highlight of this place! It was all homemade traditio...

For those worried about walking distance to JR Sendai, as I was when I booked this hotel, I did it in 7 minutes at my usual brisk clip, door to door. You may get held up at one pedestrian crossing for what seems like an eternity. On the other hand, there are walkways that mitigate against that risk. I doubt you will find a better, closer hotel than this one. For some ...

Expect linen a little scratchy, it was perfect. Everything is super clean and nice. the restaurant is good and worth the price, and you had a free drink to also enjoy the bar, the staff is super nice and friendly. Perfect place to stay during the good season (you need to go out to access the bathroom, so in winter it might be annoying). But in summer it's a really gre...

This was my second time staying at this guesthouse and honestly, Masaki and Keiko are a large reason I stopped in Sendai at all. They took such good care of me last time and they did the same for me and my mom this time. It's a comfortable place to rest, a family if you want to hang out and chat before bed, and full of local wisdom if you want recommendations of how to...

The hotel is a fair walk from the station and is a little old, but the staff were fantastic and the beds were very comfortable. The shower took time to come through hot and the breakfast was frankly a joke (instant coffee, some cheap orange slices and bread buns without any butter or jam!) but for the price I could have asked for no better. I'd certainly recommend this...

The location of this hotel is great, short walk from the JR station and surrounded by restaurants, shops and bars. The staff were really helpful and friendly, and spoke English. The room was clean, comfortable, well appointed, and larger than average Japanese hotel rooms. Breakfast was available, and although we didn't have it, it looked like a good varied menu. Probab...

The host was such a nice person that made everything so pleasurable. I found this hotel through the words of mouths in Tokyo and everything I was told was true. It is very clean and there are only 6 rooms. There is a common room where the host serves us welcome drinks. It is one block away from the temple and a few minutes from the ferry. We definitely think people ...

The room area is small, but this is true for most Japanese business hotels, for a solo traveller, the area is enough. The hotel was opened in 2019 and is brand new, the rooms have smoke detectors so the 'usual' problem in Japan of booking a non-smoking room and entering a stinky smoking room won't happen here. There is a semi direct entrance from the sendai station, do...

The hotel is super close to the station and shopping malls in Sendai. The room was bigger than I thought. The bathroom is a good size by Japanese standards. The bed was comfortable, but quite small even for a semi-double. The room feels like it's getting old, but is in pretty good condition.

The hotel's location is great. It is close to Sendai's main station and there are so many convenience stores around it. Room is big, more than enough for the three of us. It was also very convenient to be able to buy the Senday Loople tickets from the hotel. Friendly front-desk staff!

Pretty nice. The hotel is very well located regarding some touristic attractions such as the Sendai City Museum or the Sendai Castle. Also very convenient location for the Sendai International Center and the shopping area downtown. The hotel is clean and the staff was very helpful. They have a very limited English and I used my limited Japanese to communicate, but they...

The hotel is about a leisure 15/20 mins walk from JR station. I didn’t mind that at all. Lots of cafes, restaurants, shops and convenience stores near hotel and on the way from / to station. Room was clean. Bed was comfy. Air con and WiFi both working well, staff super friendly. Tea and kettle on the room. Coffee available from the lobby at 24 hr coffee station. Option...

Location is good everything is close from there; Sendai station is only 4 blocks or around 750¥ by taxi if you have luggage. Cons: the bathroom is small, and I agree with some reviews, it sometimes have like a humidity smell. But if you don't mind and only will stay for relaxing and sleeping; it's good hotel.

It was an enjoyable experience stay in this capsule hotel. The hotel is located in the shopping area and about 10 minute walk to JR station. It is quiet in the capsule and I had a good sleep every night. This is the best capsule hotel i’ve ever stayed. Highly recommend ~

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for two days for just over ¥10,000. For such a great price we did not expect such a nice hotel! + great price + nice room, very clean and surprisingly spacious + friendly staff + could order take-away pizza from your room! - a pretty long walk from the station - couldn't order pizza from a company other than the one they recommend (alt...

Very satisfied. Even though there was a language barrier, the hotel staffs were truly helpful and friendly. They kindly gave some English maps and advices for sightseeing, also very caring reminding me to bring jackets and everything because it was suddenly snowing that day. the room also very clean and the hotel was close to train station, temples/shrines, shopping ar...

Have I mentioned that it's a great location? This hotel is located right in Kokubuncho area of Sendai. If you're looking for a place to go bar hopping and clubbing in Tohoku, this is it. The hotel staff were friendly and spoke some English. The room was small (as is to be expected in Japan) and clean. It was a little bit difficult finding as there isn't really street a...

after the earthquake and the tsunami that happened last year march 11, 2011 in this beautiful city of sendai in the island country of japan in the miyagi prefecture, i have come back again to cover for my news report because i was there last year and i came back this year to cover the changes that have happened. from what i can see now as compared to what i saw last ye...

The hotel is obviously a few years old, but very clean. There is no gym and the pool was closed. The restaurant was only open for the buffet breakfast and dinner. These were a little expensive, but probably good value for money. Excellent food, Sushi, steak, salads, fish etc etc, well served, including beer or wine. It is a little walk from the centre of Matsushima, bu...

First, to live in Sakan feels like live in the whole Akiu, the hotel staff and shuttle bus will direct you to anywhere …It's really convenient when travelling with a young child. Second, the dinner and breakfast are both plenty and delicious!Last but not the least, the three hot springs are very attractive~I like the outdoors hot spring most, it's just near the river a...

Beautiful grounds, a bit dated, but still very much functional. It was wonderful to stay put at the hotel once you check in since dinner buffet and breakfast are provided, and there's a large public bath to enjoy. Very relaxing. Rooms with a view of the water was excellent too. Spacious and comfortable.

Even though the hotel is quite a distance from Naruko Onsen station, the hotel staff will pick you up if you ask the staff from tourist information desk to give the hotel a call when you arrive at station. The room is clean and spacious for my family of 3. Dinner was elaborate and tasty. Breakfast is buffet style and tasty too. Special thanks to Abe san who served us h...

We booked four Non smoking Japanese rooms. The air conditioner of my room wasn't working, so I called the night staff. Turned out he couldn't speak English after he came upstairs to check. After using simple Englihs n body language explaining what was wrong, he insisted that it's heater only, not ac even though I've taken him to the other rooms to show him that that wa...

This is the 2nd time I travel to "Sakunami Onsen Yuzukushi Salon Ichinobo", luckily for this time I got a good deal off Agoda website for around 15,000 yen a night, where usually it can cost up to 30,000 yen a night. The onsen here is as amazing as usual, so many theme onsen to relax in and the food was spectacular. The room was big and clean, the facility and the rec...
Luxury hotels in Miyagi Prefecture

My visit happened on a snowing day on 27 Dec that offered excellent views of snow scenes around. Price is on the high side but worth it, with the facilities, attentiveness of staff, and the surrounding (good for all 4 seasons). Both the hot springs inside and outside are good. My room has a private that is a bonus to the family, or new weds.
