This year still flying out from Macau to Fukuoka, but taking the route, Karatsu, Saga, Ureshino and Hakata ! First night staying here, a beautiful seaside hotel with good food and drinks (they have a FREE-flow bar with FREE drinks from 6pm to 23pm). The room came with dinner and breakfast, meals were specially arranged by Chef, thank you for the good food and servic...

When we arrived, a friendly lady directed us to the parking garage next to the station -- and we got to stay there for free! We had booked a Queen Room, and it was huge and comfortable, even had a massage chair! It felt really luxurious and relaxing. Close to the station, so there's lots of dining and shopping options nearby. (We didn't eat at the hotel, but Agoda for...

We had an excellent stay at Ryokan Oomuraya and I would highly recommend people to stay here. This was a last minute booking in lieu of the ryokan in Yufuin that we had to cancel due to the damage wrought by the recent earthquake. It proved to be an excellent choice, this ryokan offered us good food and great service. My mom scrapped her knees due to a biking accident ...

We had to stay here during the rugby World Cup as could get anywhere closer to Oita stadium (over an hour away!). Whilst the location is fairly industrial it is within 10 mins walk of a pretty good outlet centre (bit like Bicester village in the UK). The hotel is next to quite a big road but was actually one of the quietest hotels we’ve ever stayed in. Good soundproofi...

The Toyoko Inn Saga is a nice quaint hotel right in the heart of the city. It's quiet and pleasant with easy access to wherever you want to be. It's right next to the train and bus station, so you can go just about anywhere. If you take bus #1 to the YouMe Saki Cosmos Town shopping mall, that's the place to be in Saga. It's a very nice mall with all sorts of intere...

My wife and I stayed in from 12-14 Oct and we were given a nice big japanese style room. We were unable to get the non-smoking room so they tried their best to clean the room. Very appreciative of that and the room was really clean and there was indeed no cigarette smell at all! The place didnt feel touristy at all. The hotel have 6 huge onsen pools, very well mainta...

The hotel is a bit far from Tosu train station. Have to walk around 15-20 min. Surrounding is manufacturing distributor area I think the hotel mainly provides service for business purpose. This hotel provides bottled water at checkin. Got little kettle in the room, 2 hair dryer outside and inside the roiled. There are instant noodles for sell at the reception which is ...

Room was not that big but it was clean and tidy. Location was nearly perfect to travel in Saga. You can even see the entrance of hotel from inside of Saga station and there is a big supermarket and a convenience store very near there. Staffs couldn't speak Korean or English well but their service was still very good. I stayed in another hotel near Saga station for t...

The hotel is well served by various bus services. We left the window open for cold and fresh air at night, the geese/birds sound from the canal is a great and pleasant wake up call. The front desk manager helped us with restaurant reservation and arranging luggage courier, this is much appreciated. We will be back to Saga for the air balloon fest one day!

It was a very relaxing and pleasant stay! The manager at the resort is very friendly and helpful, pick up us from the main bus station, helped us organised the bus booking to Hakata, given us a free upgrade for the 2nd and 3rd night. The breakfast and dinner are very tasty, we get to try all the nice local cuisine in one place. We really enjoyed our stay, recommended! ...

Although the place is quite far from the main station but you'll get one of the best view of this town. Their breakfast is really awesome so don't miss out! Now, they also have bike for rent so it's very convenient to explore around. Staffs may speak limited English but very friendly and helpful! This is my second time staying at this hotel and would definitely go agai...

This stay was amazing!!! Both the Samurai manager and the young lady working on weekends were adorable and so helpful. They make this whole place feel so cozy and welcoming, and they are very helpful and present for guests. The beds were comfortable and I loved that they were equipped with sufficient lighting, power plugs, and sooo much space to settle all your thin...

Friendly & helpful staff although not very efficient in English. Design of the hotel makes you feel like travelling in pre-modern Europe. It’s bar has over a hundred type of whisky from all over the world so it is a very good place to get drunk. The fire place in the lobby floor is a good place for reading or spending a lazy afternoon. Together with the wheat field aro...

Good standard hotel with standard nice room and very clean. The twins room is bigger than other places. The location is very close to Tosu station, only 1 min walk. The breakfast is good with Japanese and Western food. There is a beverage machine with many selection. Recommend this hotel to stay in Tosu.

I was very worried when i booked this guesthouse because because there were some bad reviews about this place. However, everythinf turned out to be ok. The owner was not around when i arrived however he came after i emailed and a neighbour also offered his help to call the owner. This is a traditional japanese minshu so please do not compare with other backpackers host...

I visited arita with my husband last week. Both the little town and the guesthouse were a pleasant surprise ! The guesthouse was super clean, and the room couldn't be better! I guess December is not the tourist peak season, we got the biggest japanese style room, it was so calm and spacious, the decor was also impeccable... the guesthouse definitely made our time in Ar...

I walked slowly from train station to hotel around 20 minutes. The room is small but no problem for me. Just take sleep. Takeo-onsen is far from hotel around 200m. And i recommend TKB burger restaurant in front of the hotel. I really like it. In the same road with hotel, there are many japanese club called "snack" about 15-20 shops. I didn't got in. Just tell you if yo...

Location is very good. It is near bus station and train station so you can easily move anywhere.Breakfast is free but menu is good and delicious. Someone wrote cleanliness was not good but I'm OK. If you expect very cleanliness such as 5 stars hotel, you will be disappointed. If you are not sensitive for cleanliness, I recommend this hotel.

Asuka Hotel was the perfect place to stay for a weekend trip to Karatsu! Located right behind city hall, it's perfectly central, and just a short stroll from Karatsu train station. The staff was very friendly, and while I didn't have the time to explore all of the offered amenities, the free breakfast was simple but delicious.

This was a real great surprise for us. The room was large and very well set up. We were very confortable. I did not realize it was the only room in the pension, so we were also alone. It was really great. The owner was also very helpful and kind, and linked to the accommodation there is a cafe and a pottery shop. Both great. Try the breakfast option!

Would recommend this hotel as they have great onsen facilities both indoor and outdoor and they are very spacious inside. The counter staff generally do not speck English but they are still very helpful and patient to address your questions. The pre-ordered breakfast is amazingly good with a full spread of Japanese dishes.
