Where to stay in Tottori Prefecture
Tottori Prefecture hotels & accommodations

Rooms are very clean. The hotel do not allow you to wear shoes to rooms and even lift lobbies. You have to lock your shoes in the lockers on Ground Floor. So everything is clean. Like other places in Tottori-ken, I suggest you book also the dinner and breakfast as there are not much (or even no) choices of restaurants. I booked the hotel without breakfast and dinner an...

Excellent location right next to the JR Yonago Station within a minute walk. Since I was travelling with a car, free parking is available in the car parks next to the Hotel with one outdoor and one indoor options which provide sufficient parking spaces. Remember to present the parking ticket to the Reception staff and they will record the complimentary status for you...

We were wowed by the hotel when we first arrived at night by car. There were a huge parking lot despite the public onsen and amazing seaside view! Location was good to where we wanted to go, we drove all the way from Tottori Station to the hotel easily within 3 hours, stopping by the sea to view and conan museum, Was only 20 mins drive to Mizuki Shigeru road, 30 mins d...

we arrived in Tottori to mainly see the dunes, was raining so we had to camp in the room. The beds were excellent and I had my best sleep in japan that night. It's right next to the train station and bus depot so it's easy to get around, would definitely stay here again if I'm in tottori!

I was in this hotel for one day originally. Due to itinerary changed, I booked another consecutive night after I arrived Japan. When I arrived the hotel, they were detail-minded that they asked me if I made something wrong as I booked 2 nights. I booked a non smoking room. They said there is a smoking room available ( which is of higher storey with better view) to see...

This is a traditional Japanese ryokan. we enjoyed the real good Japan here. Bedding is very clean. The freshly rematted tatami was very nice to step on. Although the dining area was very crowded at dinner time, the number of pure japanese dishes are astounding. Numerous fish served were extremely fresh. This was one of the best Ryokan/restaurant we ever stayed in J...

Pros: excellent location,3 mins walk directly opposite Tottori Station. Room, though small was very clean with clean bedsheet and pillows. Toiletries were replenished daily. Staff was super helpful and polite. They could speak a little English. Cons: a small fee charged for elevator parkjng of car- ¥500 per night. When we were there in June, hotel's ground floor was u...

Whether it is the food, the room, the staff and service, it makes me so enjoy. The dinner and breakfast are surprising and it has a high quality on food and species. The staff are so nice and helpful and a staff can speak a little bit Cantonese! The room and spy are big enough so that it makes us so comfortable.

I stayed at Drop Inn only one night. This experience was amazing from the moment I arrived. It is only a 3 minute walk from the Tottori station. The whole facility is clean and the capsules are very spacious. The hotel provides everything you might need besides a full kitchen for you to use as it has its own cafe. The winning factor for me was the staff. They were a...

The overall impression of the hotel is excellent. The rooms are clean and tidy. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Breakfast are presented beautifully and delicious. The sea view from the hotel room is magnificent. The location of the hotel is easy to find by GPS. Car park is located just opposite the hotel and spaces are enough. You can find some eateries just a ...

We only spent one night, but wished we could stay longer. Very few of the staff could speak some English, but that didn't stop them for assisting us. The dinner and breakfast was delicious. I highly enjoyed their tea. Even though the dining staff didn't speak English and we spoke very simple Japanese phrases, it still felt appreciated that they did their best to a...

Staying at this hotel was the highlight of my trip. It was so nice having a garden outside my window, having such a large, clean, and well treated room, and the service was excellent. The people were very kind and helpful. The building and rooms were beautiful, and I found it was my favorite place to stay in Japan.

We drove from Iwakuni to Tottori, arrived around 10 pm. We had difficulties to find the parking spot, but then the staff took care it. The room was pretty big for Japanese size, and surprisingly not that expensive. So totally worth it. For those who travel by train, the location of this hotel is across from the station, hence very convenient. Overall, I'd definite...

It is very closed to train station and also there is a bus stop, if you are going to 20 century pear museum. The hotel is located in small avenue, so it is very quiet and some restaurants and convinient stores near by. Staff are very friendly and they have microwave for guests to use and top floor has public bath, ladies in the morning and afternoon. Men's are in the ...

Very good : perfect location close to Mount Daisen which we climbed the following day, the staff was very caring and nice, the room was small but comfortable and very clean, the food was correct but nothing extraordinary. Maybe a bit expensive though.

We were in a western style room. Admittedly the cheapest one possible. The lighting was pretty bad and no way to put the twin rooms together in a single bed. The staff were very friendly but few knew english. The private baths were great once you figured out how to control the temperture. The sea view from the lobby and lobby bar is amazing.

A very traditional japanese style hotel. There are few onsen which have very good view and can be used it privately. The hotel is extremely clean and cozy. The staffs are nice and helpful. We enjoyed staying here and will probably book this hotel if we go to Tottori again.

This is my first time staying at a traditional Japanese inn. I was shocked at first when I realized that hotel guest use communal bath. But it is not so bad because they have two private baths as well. The cleanliness is top notch. And they take care of your every move. I love the experience and will stay here again if I have a chance to return to Tottori.

Very friendly and helpful guesthouse owner. I had one of my most interesting stay in Japan. The guesthouse is located in a residential area, it may be difficult to move around without a car and the bus timetable is a little light. Close by walking distance to the fish market which is a true asset. There is one shower for the whole guesthouse. It could be a problem i...

Room was clean, staff was nice, wifi very good. Cons: I knew that check in is from 17:00 but this hostel/bar is closed from noon time to 17:00! Not even drop your luggage was possible. Should be clearly stated in the description. Coin lockers were taken, luckily i rented a taxi for 3 hours for only 2000 yen until check in :-)

It's convenient to travel around Tottori and nearby prefecture from here, close to both train and bus station. AEON Mall is just 250 meters away, CVS at the back. Decent breakfast with variety of food and beverage. Onsen changes alternately to serve male and female guests in different times - however, very small and uncomfortable if more persons inside.

Retained in immaculate, but tired, original condition Hotel Tokoen offers travellers the opportunity to step back in time. It's like nothing I've ever seen, a true faded glory,Architect, Kiyonori Kikutake's 1964 design is absolutely intact ...right down to the light fittings, joinery and (sometimes threadbare, but freshly vacuumed) carpets. The hotel is impeccably cl...

As a solo traveller, the hotel even give me a spacious room with two beds, which was a huge surprise. Delicious free breakfast was provided. There is also an onsen on the ground floor in which male and female guests have to be used in alternative time period. There is only an indoor onsen bath which was very small. Hence, it is quite crowded at night. The hotel is ver...

The staff is amazing and incredibly helpful. It's a Japanese speaking establishment but they did have instructions in English. Haruka knew some English and was very patient with me and modest; she was delightful and amazing. Haruka helped make my stay even more comfortable along with the entire staff. We went to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary in Japan and the Hotel not only provide us an excellent service but also gave a gift that we almost weep our eyes! The Hotel was really 5-star with a grand lobby, marvelous lakeview and most of the rooms can look over the lake and you can watch the sunrise or sunset. The outdoor onsen was great experience since they l...

The staff are very nice. The location is about 30 mins from Yonago JR station and 5 mins walk from the Information Centre. The Onsen inside the room is nice and we are offered one free trial of paid onsen as well. The dinner and breakfast are very delicious. The room is large and clean. Overall, a wonderful experience for me and my girlfriend!
