Booked a private room for 3 adults, room is clean, spacious and comfortable. Bath house located nearby with short drive. Those who drive, DO NOT trust the navi with guesthouse's phone number. It took us to another side of town (end up with 2-hour drive, instead of 40-minute from Toyama). However, its location I super convenient to those heritage sites.

We reached the guesthouse in the evening by taking Toyama Light Rail Tram and found that the road leading to the guesthouse was a bit dark. We did not explore much of the surroundings since we stayed here only for one night. The guesthouse was quite nice and cozy, basic facilities were provided and the place was clean. Overall it was a nice experience staying here.

Hotel was situated a good ~20 mins walk from station though never tried walking there. To get there, we hopped on its loop tram ride there, paying Yen$200 per adult. We had a wonderful two night stay. The room was very large, with a great view if the river and george. the service was first class, from the front desk to to maids who served tea on arrival, helped you with the yukata and served multi-course meals. Essential Travel Tips for Your Toyama Adventure
Preparing for a trip to Toyama can enhance your experience significantly. First, familiarize yourself with local customs and etiquette. For instance, it is customary to bow when greeting someone, and removing shoes before entering homes or certain establishments is expected. Learning a few basic Japanese phrases can also go a long way in enhancing your interactions with locals.
When it comes to transportation, purchasing a one-day pass for the local public transport system is a great way to save money while exploring the city. This pass allows unlimited travel on trains and buses, making it convenient to visit various attractions without worrying about individual fares. Additionally, consider downloading a translation app to help with communication, especially in restaurants and shops where English may not be widely spoken.
Lastly, be sure to check the weather forecast before your trip, as Toyama experiences distinct seasons that can greatly affect your plans.
