Yucatan hotels & accommodations

The Hyatt Regency in Merida is a great hotel, just a 20 minute walk from the main town square. The room was clean and spacious, with a large in-room safe. The staff were very friendly. I did not try the in-house restaurants so cannot comment. The pool area was stylish, but the pool would be better if it was heated... the water was very very cold. Otherwise it’s a grea...

The staff was incredible friendly and knowledgable. The owner has really great taste- the place is beautiful and comfortable. Large rooms with high ceilings, hardwood floors and comfortable beds. Great showers. Beautifully renovated place with respect to traditional style. The masseuse on staff is really good and not overpriced. The bar makes nice drinks and brin...

This is a great hostel. The dorms were good, the fan was fine in November. The lockers were great. The kitchen is outside in a very nice long narrow green garden. The included breakfast was really great. Location is central. I Rented a bike and rode to four cenotes, highly recommended. The town square is close and quite active on the weekend. Nice easy going town.

Great little hotel for the price. Clean, modern rooms situated around a swimming pool. Perfect for a stop over before an early start to see the ruins the following morning. Highly recommended. The chicken restaurant across the road is basic but good (only one dish on the menu). I was able to change Euros at the adjoining gift shop at a reasonable rate. 20 to the Euro. ...

Definitely a one of a kind experience! Rooms are huge and historic looking, and surprisingly clean given its size. Staff were all polite and extremely helpful. We also had the opportunity to meet the owner, who was very friendly. Walking distance from ADO bus station and popular sights in Valladolid

Everything about this hotel was amazing. The staff is super friendly and knowledgable, service is perfect, location is the best you can get - walking distance to all of the center plus Paseo de Montejo (about 20min walk). The room and all of the building is beautiful and the pool is amazing and you WILL need to dip in because it’s really hot in Merida. The best part of...

Nice spacious hotel in the middle of Valladolid. Really well priced for what you get, which was a large clean room with 2 double beds which were slightly hard but ok, shower with plenty of hot water, air con, in room safe, tv and a view of the cathedral from our room and the pool. The swimming pool is excellent and the staff are lovely. The hotel is undergoing some r...

The hotel manager Camilo is extremely helpful. He gave us a lot of information about Valladolid, he referered a good taxi driver, Manuel of Maya Adventure Taxi Tour to us. There's an underground natural cave with heated water which is a very special facility in this hotel. Highlt recommended to travellers.

A very mellow place and quiet. Unfortunately, our room had no window - a budget room, but others looked to be better. The shower was lovely and aircon & fan made it very comfortable. It was nice to relax and read a book by the pool. There was parking on the street. The lady at reception was very helpful.

We had a great stay at the hotel; rooms were lovely, and breakfast was delicious. Staff all had excellent knowledge of the local area and gave us great recommendation for food and drinks, events that were happening, and travel tips! The breakfast was delicious, it was a shame we booked our flight so early on our 2nd night and didn't get a chance to have it again!

The hotel for the price you pay offers great value for money. All staff were extremely nice and welcoming especially Efrain. The hotel is in a fabulous location for visiting Chichen itza. It's close enough so that it is only a 20 minute walk to the entrance. At the same time you are in the town of piste with choices of restaurants and not trapped in an isolated hotel ...

We were traveling on the Puuc Route, visiting the Maya ruins and wanted a location that was convenient and in a small town. The location was great, the owner was very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed walking around town at night. The room is basic, but the bed was good, it has a pool, breakfast was included (continental) friendly and helpful staff.

We actually extended our stay as we really enjoyed our time in Valladolid, so much more chilled & Maya than Merida. . We were impressed with our first floor room which was serviced daily & drinking water provided. Nice to have a safe too. . Staff have minimal English but we got by with my Spanish phrase book. Good location just a short walk round the block from the b...

I was in the area to run the Uxmal - Muna race and found this lodging option as appropriate since it was not on the way or in a crowded spot. The facilities are amazingly well maintained and very clean. Food was excellent in presentation and taste. Service was genuine Mayan way with well trained staff . The perfect place if you look for resting and enjoying the natur...

We love the hotel, the staff and the location. Fifth time staying there in 20 years.. The location is just a long block from the city center where one can find plenty to see and do. We found the best tacos ever across the street from the cathedral, and cheap. Merida is more Spanish than Spain (I have been to Spain) NOTE: take bug spray because the hotel is “open air”,...

This little place is great - the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful and provided us with lots of information and recommendations on what to do and where to go around the area. The location next to the main square couldn't be bettered, but there's no need to worry about noise as the rooms are tucked away from the street in a quiet little garden. The rooms are spot...

Beautiful building. 5 mins walk to the cathedral. Our pool facing room was quiet in the evenings. A couple of free drink options available in the lobby. It was nice to chill with a coffee or juice before heading out into the heat of Mérida. Good massage available in the spa for $600 MXN. Off street parking (we had a hire car). Big rooms with good AC. In room safe ($500...

Love this cute hotel!!! The owners are amazing, super friendly and generous. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable and have nite new bathrooms. No tv, but wifi but who needs that sureounded by nature in such magical and ancient area. Value for price is great. Very cheap and includes breakfast and have parking. Dont hesitate, just go there! The pickle onion is more tu...

Overall, it was well worth for the price staying there! The room was nice and clean, there was a nice little pool and some outdoor tables around it, and the staff was helpful to recommend what to do in the city(tequilla distillery was great). The hotel was a little off from the center, taking about 15-20 mins on foot.
Cheap places to stay in Yucatan

perfect for what I needed. close to everything 5 minute walk to bus. simple cheap and clean. I got one small bed a few shelfs and a fan. toilets and showers are clean and plentiful. walls are a little thin and it didn't seem very social in the one night I was there.

We are absolutely satisfied with the hostel. The staff is incredibly nice and has always asked us if everything was ok and given us a lot of good tips for excursions. The breakfast was great, we got a fresh meal every morning. The room has everything you need. A suggestion of mine would be small bedside lamps, so you do not have to get up before sleeping to make out...

Have stayed here in the past & it remains consistent. Free breakfasts include scrambled eggs (get there early if you want them moist!), beans, roast potatoes (tasty). Sliced bread for toast & small rolls as well as pound cake. Corn flakes, jello, rice pudding (liquidy), round out the selections, but you won't go hungry. Coffee, tea, milk, prepared 'juices' availabl...

We arrived at 07 pm with confirmed booking by Agoda but at the reception they told us that they don't work with Agoda or Booking. I believe it was a lie and that the room was given before to other people, because I've never had such problems with Agoda and because I trust in Agoda. So we went to another hotel: Posada del Angel, nearer to city centre and also with park...

We had a great stay at this Inn... Alan kindly collected us at the bus station and welcomed us to his home. We had requested a downstairs and quiet room, which he provided, but after our arrival he graciously let us shift to a larger room upstairs. The place is home-style with a very local feeling. We had a great night's sleep, as it was also quiet. Plenty of hot w...

Very kind people and a lovely place, but as it is further from the centre besides coffee in the morning,(black only) perhaps toast as well would be a good idea. I wouldn't have minded paying for it rather than having to walk into the town for breakfast.

This hotel is located not far from the Centre of Merida and equally as close to the beach at Progresso, but away from the traffic. They have large rooms, is very clean and have a wonderful staff that is very responsive to your needs. The price is excellent through Agoda! The name of the hotel turned me off, but is is a gem - would definitely stay here again!

The only serious issue was that if your booking is through Agoda you will have to pay at the end of the trip and they will try and charge you a different rate entirely. Ours went from $53 a night to $78 dollars a night excluding taxes. Agoda need a good rocket over this issue as not only is it embarrassing to find out you haven't paid but for the rate to raise so muc...

I stayed 5 nights here early May. The hotel was quiet and the room I was in on the 3rd floor was very clean and comfortable. Good location and quiet with nice pool. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room cleaned every day with drinking water and coffee supplied gratis. Internet weak in rooms, but stronger in public areas.

This description and photos do not do this place justice! As our first visit to Mérida, we had our initial hesitations about wandering off the "typical tourist" path but this hotel (and city) has completely changed our perspective. Once you reach the center of the city, the architecture, streets, and overall environment have an old European Spanish influence and feel. ...

Just one night between two main archeological sites. Room was relatively big (for 4) and clean and the bathroom too. Easy accessible by car and reasonobly close to downtown (you have to use tha car anyway). Internet working well in the room. Breakfast not included served in a sister structure across the street, it was fantastic! Buffet with 4 different types of fruits ...

This hotel is an amazing beautiful oasis in the heart of Merida. The staff were super friendly and went our of their way to make our stay relaxing. After a day exploring the sights of Merida and history of the Yucatan, it was great to arrive back "home" at such a beautiful haven.

This hotel was by far the best hotel we stayed in during our entire trip around Mexico & that includes Cancun. The owners were so helpful & informative when it came to booking excursions & things to see & do in the city. The hotel itself was clean & luxurious.

After a long drive to Valladolid, We finally arrived to be greeted with "welcome home". The hospitality here was so great. The staff are all very welcoming and helpful. A vegan friend couldn't drink milk with his coffee so without any request one of the staff members went around the nearby shops to see if they could get any. There was none anywhere but the impromptu ge...

Absolutely one of the nicest hotels during our Mexico trip. We definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Hotel staff is the best. No request was too much and they are really friendly and willing to suggest nice places to go for sightseeing and eating. We travelled with a one year old baby and they just go the extra mile to make sure that everything was perfectly arra...

For Mexican Standards and the price the hotel was quite good. Of course you can not expect a 5 star hotel, but it was clean and quite. It is about 35 min walking distance from the bus station. About 10 min walking distance to bars and restaurants. The shower was not the best, but it was ok. The staff at the reception was friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff was als...

This is a beautiful hotel only a 5 minute walk from Uxmal. The rooms are huge and the bathrooms have a glass roof from which you can see the birds. Everything has been specially designed with a Mayan theme, very tastefully done A bottle of water costs $3 and there was no hot water, reception said it takes 10-15minutes for the water to get hot, the water isn't that col...

this was a good choice of hotel for a couple who like to walk and see the sights. parking was included and getting to and from the hotel from the highway was easy. the only thing missing was a small refrigerator in the room and working wi-fi, essential in today's travel.

Lovely relaxing spot. The gardens are beautiful , great pool and lovely spread out bungalow rooms across the property. I stayed with my dog and they welcomed us with a little kit of bowls and poop bags in the room. Very sweet. Organised my chichen itza tickets for me and I was able to go in at 8.30am through private entrance before all the crowds. Perfect stop off on ...

This property is gorgeously curated and the team working here is so attentive. We were always impressed by how they knew when we were arriving back to open the gate and have our key ready. The recommendations we received of where to eat and what to do were fantastic too and took into consideration our preferences and a variety of price points. Breakfast was phenomenal....

It was a visually pleasing experience, with a comfortable room. Mérida is close to Mayan ruins and the entire area is dotted with a variety of cenote in which I highly recommend swimming. We visited a hennequen plantation which was fascinating; I learned about sisal and it's fascinating impact upon the history and growth of the area. About the hotel, I will say that th...
