good stay”
not too far from the strip (10min walk at most); the casino is always quite well attended. As it is not on the strip there is not a horde of tourists just strolling through it but the people who are there are actually there either to play or to drink. the swimming pool area is also very nice, the only hotel having a better pool is probably the hard rock hotel (but again this is for a general younger audience). the voodoo club on top of the roof is excellent - the views are the best of las vegas strip, also better than from stratosphere (not as high bit closer to strip). many bice chicks (who actually also stay in the hotel) if one would be interested in this :) one floor below the club is a pricy restaurant (as always quality costs something). the buffet on the casino floor (breakfast and lunch) is huge and very good. the rooms are OK; my room on the 5th did not have a flatscreen TV, but hey, who cares - you're not in Vegas to watch TV right?! overall I can recommend it.

Like McDonald's, I. Lovi. It!”
My better half and I have stayed and more hotels in Las Vegas than we can count. The Rio is the best hotel we stayed at hands down so far. The staff is extremely friendly and very accommodating. The views from our room we're amazing and the bed was super comfortable everything was really clean the casino awesome. We even decided that's where we want to get married is at the Rio. We can't wait to come back. Mascarade Tower is our new love!

Nice room but very dry air & smokey atmosphere”
front desk clerk was nice enough to put us in a room at the end of the hall (we have a 2 1/2 yr old) so that his occasional cries would not disturb the other guests. we didn't mind the long walk to our room. got a really awesome cyber-monday rate for the week, so can't complain too much. our stay at the rio in vegas was mainly for sleeping as we were visiting family in n.las vegas and spent most of the day there, away from the hotel and vegas strip. hotel was just across the freeway from the busy strip trafiic, that was a plus! my main complaints are: - the parking garage does not have many walls surrounding it so when a really cold chill breeze came, it hit us like a rock! - smokey atmosphere in the casino area (it's vegas and not so. cal...i know)made it difficult to breath. our eyes were dry and red just from garage to room elevators. wished their air circulation system was better at pulling the smoke out.

A good Bang for your Buck”
The staff was very professional and nice. We got into Vegas at 10am. Although it said check in at 3:00 for free,we were allowed early check in for an additional $22.00. Anything you buy at the convenience store in the hotel is double the price so I suggest you stop at a store outside for liquor. My husband got a pint of Crown for $38.00 whew!! next time we will know. The slots are not real loose but i didn't play but 20.00.We didn't eat anything on property but the cab driver said they have a good buffet. I got upstairs the room was clean, bed comfortable,TV worked, Refrigerator worked and no microwave. The bathroom was clean and suitable to bathe in tub or shower. The furniture is out dated but suitable to sit on. The casino is not smoky and we slept like babies in our room.Transportation back and forth is about $20 one way through cab. I will definitely stay here in the future.

Big Hotel close to strip”
the check in process was very smooth and was given a one room suite upgrade. i was asked what time i would check out and when i mentioned 10am or earlier, they offered the upgrade. the room was nice and huge but was beginning to become dated. the bathroom was excellent and had all the normal amenities of a 5 star hotel. the parking garage was a bit far but typical of a las vegas hotel and casino. i was in las vegas for the ces show and would stay again here for both leisure and business. there seemed to be a very large selection of restaurant choices but i did not have the opportunity to try any as i was there for a brief stay.

You've got some new loyal customers”
We were in town for the Las Vegas half marathon. Concierge staff tipped us off to the best ways around the Strip before/during the race. We enjoyed the restaurants (two words - world buffet!!!). Thanks for the shuttle to Harrah's, too! Although we didn't get as much time to play in the casinos as we would have liked (due to the race and preparations), we will most definitely be back.

Great hotel for the price”
Very nice clean large room. The rio has a wonderful buffet one of the best in Las Vegas. They had a refrig in the room which was useful. I was surprised they they did not provide complimarey coffe as I have never been to a hotel that did not offer that. Overall good experience.

Front Desk”
I made a reservation for two suites under my name. Unfortunately my guest will be arriving earlier than us, their name were not included as Agoda only allows one name on the reservation. I spent 3 hours communicating back on forth with Agoda and Rio Hotel. Rio hotel were not at all flexible as they kept telling me I made a reservation with a third party. Agoda's home base is located in Asia so it was hard to communicate.

Simple and spacious suite room”
The Rio offers suite rooms at the price of a non-suite room. The rooms were clean and simple without too much going on in the room. The big plus of the Rio is the amount of open space in the room. Shower water pressure was a little strong/different compared to nice hotels on the strip, but again, it is the price that makes this stay attractive. Location-wise.. although off the strip, it is not so far away that it makes you feel like you are not having a Vegas vacation. If you buy the Buffet of Buffets pass, you will quickly learn that the Rio hosts one of the better buffets in Vegas (aside from Ceaser's new Bachannal buffet).

Nice hotel with large rooms”
This hotel has a good location, not located at the strip but very convenient to go to different places and locations. It has big, spacious rooms with complete amenities. The bed is big and comfortable. Great for family getaways and bondings. The hotel is well maintained and very clean. Next time i come back to las vegas, i would definitely stay in this hotel.

Fantastic Buffet”
Even though the hotel is "not" on the Strip, the free shuttle service to Bally's and Harrah's makes it convenient enough. Shuttles run from 10:00 am to 1:30 am, "approx. every 30 minutes", everyday. The bar service on the casino floor is unique and works very well - Individuals named as embassadors come around and input your beverage order on an electronic "tablet" and within 4-5 minutes a host/hostess delivers your request to you. Spent 6 nights in room 1415, "view of the strip". Room was kept clean and tidy.

great experience!”
We had a great experience, after a slight problem with our reservation the hotel manager provided us with a beautiful suite, we loved the room so much we stayed up all night, went down stairs to gamble, had a meal and overall loved our time at the RIO and have told all our friends what a class operation this is.

Great hotel with wonderful value.”
I always have a great stay at the Rio. It is a luxurious hotel for a wonderful price. There is great food and the staff are very friendly. Although, it isn't right on the strip, the hotel offers shuttles to the strip.

Large room, great view!”
If you're not looking for a 5-star hotel, then you'll be very happy here. We just wanted a roomy place, clean, with all the basics. Rio All-Suite delivered! Very happy with our choice.

Worth it! ”
It was a one day trip worth remembering...=) I heard the buffet was superb and tried it and it was. The check-in time was longer than expected though...Wish i had more time to explore the swimming pool and the area. The suite room was amazing. Accessibility was my main positive points for this hotel...there was free shuttle service to the heart of the strip that saved me a lot of money from Taxi Cabs...

The Rio is a good value for the money. ”
Pluses: The Suites are clean and very spacious and, for us, being off the strip was not a problem. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Guy Fieri's Mexican restaurant in the hotel served great food! Really good tacos! Minuses: Inside the hotel, the route to the registration desk from the self parking structure entrance is not well marked causing you to wander through the casino -- I recommend using the valet parking in front which is free (except for the tip). We were sorry to learn that the fun (daily) Mardi Gras parade they used to do was discontinued a few years ago. Our room only had enough towels for one person when we arrived but a quick call to housekeeping remedied that.

Great fancy Vegas hotel with no hidden charge”
we stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed it. the room had a great view of the city with a floor to ceiling glass wall. the beds were nice and comfy. the room had a fridge. the casino and all the attractions and restaurants were nice. the parking is free. no hidden resort fees, though at checkout the lady said i had taken seven items from the mini bar, and that was not true. but she believed me and took off the charges, and that was a relief. best of all, it was just dollars per night. nice pool, too.

Always a great value!”
Even though that property is considered, off strip, the value represents much more or equal to what you would get by staying 1000ft further to the east. My suggestion is, if you really want a sweet for a normal price, consider the Rio resort.

Rio never fails”
i've stayed many times at the rio and this time was just like past stays. quick and friendly check-in, giant rooms, big beds. true, it's not on the 'strip', but it's relatively close and they have shuttle that will take you there.
