Heaven”

I absolutely looooved this place! Exactly what I was looking for from an Island getaway! We had been staying in M'Pai and it was nice but a bit too touristy for us. Robinsons was the perfect remedy! We really enjoyed the walk through the jungle (but only brought small bags, so it might be tougher with big packs). Worth bearing in mind that depending which pier you get off at you could have a 30ish minute walk before/after the jungle walk too (again we both really enjoyed it). They had running showers which we didn't expect, toilets were clean and the location is just amaaazing with Sunset bay almost to yourself. The food is also very good. The pancakes for breakfast gave us all the energy we needed for the hike back! Thanks to all the lovely staff at Robinsons :)

The top for nature & relaxation”

This place is truly amazing! The location gives a lot advantages, much less people, beautiful beach and oh the waves (and the sound of it all night!) The treck through the jungle to get there gives a nice touch to an active trip (although I would not recommend it for families with small kids or people with low levels of physical activity). The bed was super comfortable and we loved the terrace! The staff was also wonderful. The restaurant is very nice and has an amazing view. The only drawback was that I good food poisoning there so was not able to fully enjoy next days.. I know that this could happen anywhere, not blaming anyone but I guess a bit of care is essential. Overall, I still have wonderful memories from this place!

Perfect place”

If you want to be cut off the world for some time it's the perfect place. You stand in the front of the gulf of thailand, the bungalows and the tents are very nice. And the staff, they are all so kind ! They have some amazing khmer food, you should try for the frieds tomato khmer version, I never eat tomato with such a good taste. They got a lot of book, darts, the bar is heading directly in front of the sea ! It's the perfect place for anyone :) Just be sure to not take an heavy bag with you, because you have to make a quick walk trough the jungle (20mn max) to get there, but they put some big signs so that you cannot lose yourself ;) Go for it !

Welcome to Paradise (unfortunately the mosquitoes have been invited as well...)”

Staying at Robinson Bungalows was such a great experience, from the sporty trek through the jungle to get to sunset beach (dont take your big bag and leave it somewhere on the other side of the island if you can) to the beautiful location it was close to paradise. The food at Robinson was delicious and cheaper than the rest of the other places on sunset beach. The staff were great and they even had furry help (2 dogs and 2 cats love them! Say hi to Nathalie for me ;)). We stayed in the small bungalow for a few nights which was clean and convenient but there wasnt a fan (it's the case almost everywhere on sunset beach) and it was very hot at night. We also stayed in a tent which was slightly cooler and had a built in mosquito net which came in handy (the bungalow just had a mosquito net around the bed). There were A LOT of mosquitoes and we ran out of spray after a couple of days, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND taking enough spray for your stay unless you want to get bitten 5 times while going to the bathroom. Otherwise it was a beautiful time at Robinsons.

Great staff. Beautiful location. Delicious food all made from scratch with care. Did not want to leave. This is a great spot if you like to hike, camp, relax, and can sleep without a fan or AC. Honestly I can’t say enough good things about the staff. Love this place and cannot wait to return.

Worth it”

The jungle trek across the island (and back) was particularly challenging with a 20kg pack. About 50% of the trek is relatively level. The other 50% is, well, not level... The lack of wifi or a ceiling fan was pretty "rustic". Waking up to paradise and immersing in pure, unspoiled beauty makes it worth every drop of sweat.

Nice quiet place”

Sunset beach is the perfect place to relax. Robinson Bungalows is the most authentic of the resorts at this beach. We were in a small bungalow. Perfect for this price just that it doesn't have any windows so it can get quite hot in the night. They also have a nice place to eat with authentic khmer food. The staff is super nice and friendly. Close by there is Sunset Adventures which offers some tours and kajak rental. All in all the perfect place to relax (also no wifi and bad internet connection). Be aware to walk approx. 40 min from the pier at Saracen Beach.

Best value for money”

We traveled in a group and got a glamping tent right in front of the sea. Great place to scape real life. The owner and staff are very friendly and welcoming. They will help you answering any questions about options to do on the island. If you’re looking for a vacation away from mobs of tourists this is the best beach to come to. However, beware of the hike through the jungle to get there. There are lots of rocks and roots but it’s definitely worth it when you arrive. Would definitely come back if I have another chance.

Perfect secluded location to wind down and kick back. The beaches are more wavy on this side of the island and there are some cheeky but curious monkeys running around as well - be careful of leaving small belongings outside of your tent/bungalow!

Such a wonderful place”

The bungalows are right on the beach on the quiet side of the island, it is by far the nicest accommodation on sunset beach. The staff is very friendly and welcomes you with a drink. Overall, the bungalow was very nice. The food was hit and miss but there are other options on that side. Unlike the directions, it is a hike through the jungle, definitely difficult to do in flip flops with the rocky and wet terrain. Would stay again!

Beautiful setting ”

The bungalows are basic but similar to the standard elsewhere on the island with toilets and showers in separate blocks. These are mostly clean but no hot water which is refreshing after a hot day. The views are amazing over the sea and the setting is peaceful and calm. It is very cut off with no WiFi or plugs in the room so expect to relax and switch off. The resort has a bar and a restaurant area which had tasty food and drinks, maybe slightly on the pricey side for a backpacker but good quality. The only downside for us was the trek from the ferry on the other side of the island. With bags it took us around 45 mins and it’s very steep and rocky up and down hill so be prepared for that. Take the advice and only take a small bag which we didn’t and this made it very tricky. Once you’re there it is lovely so it is worth it overall. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay and overall we enjoyed our few days here.

Island paradise👣😎🏖”

It is getting harder and harder to find the quiet paradise in the tropics but Robinsons bungalow is that place. My beautifu kozyl Kiki Lu bungalow was solar powered and rustic but well-built and perfectly located directly on the beach complete with two hammocks a table and chairs and my own private bathroom. If you're looking to party it's probably not the place for you but if you want to eat some fantastic food and enjoy a Tropical Paradise unplugged Robinson's is for you.

Fun Stay”

We stayed here 3 nights. The pros: + The location is absolutely amazing. They are the only place on sunset beach where you can sit right on the water to eat and drink or just relax. Everywhere else is set back farther away from water. + The setup of Robinson’s is clever. I loved walking around the grounds and hanging out in hammocks and lounge pillows. Felt zenful and natural. + The food is amazing... we loved everything we ate there. The cocktails too! + The Cambodian staff and German manager are all so nice and helpful. + Robinson’s now has daily yoga with an amazing French instructor... such great classes! + Nice long happy hour! 4-7pm daily + GREAT snorkeling right next to Robinson’s... just look out for lots of glass on the shallow ocean floor. The cons: - The “New Standard” bungalow is absolutely brutal to sleep in. There are no windows and no fans so you basically feel suffocated and sweaty all night. I would recommend the more ventilated tents by the water. Overall I would recommend Robinson’s, I think they’ve done a great job of creating an awesome place to stay on a more remote part of the island. Some people said it would be boring to sit around and I couldn’t disagree more. Having no WiFi and just watching the days go by is one of the best things about traveling :)
