Amazing Dinner & Breakfast, excellent location with perfect ocean view”

Stayed here for Kawazu Sakura festival, the room is spacious and with amazing ocean view. You can see sunrise if wake up early. The building is an older type building but does not feel old/dirty at all. Staff does not speak English too well but were very helpful in every way. They prepared hand-made mochi for every guest, hand delivered luggage to our room. The level of attention of detail was off the chart. The onsen (hot spring bath) on site was excellent. They only have 7 rooms in total and 3 onsen. Men and Women are separated and they alternate the time slot for the outdoor one. Guest can reserve own onsen for 40 minutes in evening. It is open for public 24/7 in other time. Dinner and breakfast were AMAZING. Dinner was a 10-course meal with everything delicately prepared. There is a reason for each ingredient and they are delicious and fresh. The dinner option is a MUST. Rarely you can eat this type of meal within Tokyo (would be $$$$)

Worth a visit.”

Things I like
Friendliness, Good service and nice baths.

Very pleasant! Located by the seaside (although facing a highway), this quiet and semi-traditional Ryokan is worth the price you pay for. It is not cheap, but opt for the traditional tatami rooms (only two out of seven rooms) with meals included. You might be surprised initially that other local guests have different dinner plans, especially with lobster and other fanciful sparkling drinks. I think this is because local Japanese travel agent sites have a wider choice set of packages available to the Japanese reader. Not so on sites like Agoda though. The hot spring baths were very relaxing, and due to the low number of rooms, this means that you are quite likely to get the bath all to yourself most of the time. Otherwise, you can book a private time (but only for about 40 minutes per day). But hey, there's only so many baths you can have in a day, no? Easy walk to the Kawazu station where you can take a bus to see local sights like the seven waterfalls, or hop onto the train line and head further south to nice beaches like in Shimoda.
