Laguna is an absolute gem. Far exceeded my expectations with fantastic comfortable rooms, great food and drink options, beautiful gardens, and she best views you could possibly find in Samloen. Spectacular private piers over the sea so you can dine watching the sunset and. A fabulous private beach. Highly recommended

Private beach with an amazing view”
This resort is very private, peaceful, surrounded by trees, right by a private beach. The stuff is very polite, very friendly and customer oriented. The food was always clean and fresh.

The resort is lovely and the private beach amazing. It was totally empty when we were there. All the staff were really helpful and the breakfast was great. Good value for money and I would definitely return.

Great place”
The location is a bit away from the main beach, but that meant a great sunset, particularly from the pier! There were renovations happening throughout my stay, and a few services not on offer which was unfortunate. It was still a beautiful and relaxing stay though. Comfy bed, no need for aircon, showers in the morning were a bit chilly with no hot water. I preferred to swim in the main beach, rather than the private beach, but that is just a short boat ride or a 15 min walk. I’d certainly go back, and with the reno’s complete, it will be even better!

The manager clearly didn't want children staying there”
If you come with children, be aware that your booking on agoda won't pass the info about the children to the property, and the manager won't be happy to have them around and will tell how much he doesn't recommend children at all on the island considering the absence of medical facilities in case your children get beaten by a snake or injured while running around. It wasn't a nice way to welcome me while I had to negotiate with him to put extra beds in the room as we were 6 not 4 people in the booking I made (and of course I had to pay extra even though I booked for 6). Then his recommendations of hiking won't be suitable for kids, but you can easily figure this out before getting trap on the trail. And the boat on demand to go back and forth to the main beach isn't that much on demand actually. But well, there is a trail and we managed to make it fun for the kids. The island is suitable for children, just choose a different resort. The staff was excellent apart from him.

At your service various activities - tennis court and basketball, horse riding, snorkeling from the private beach and amazing sunset from the open terrace near the bar. Unpleasant Stay”
Typically we are as positive as possible even with uneventful stays. The owner (Estonian) was extremely rude and disrespectful. Not only did he ask for us to meet him to set up our wifi after his evening shower, but he ignored our request until the following day since he decided to eat dinner instead. Once we did have wifi, it was barely working. He was brief and rude every time he spoke to us during our stay. The staff also made us wait a full hour to serve us breakfast, which was a simple fruit plate, despite the waitress coming back multiple times telling us our food would arrive shortly. This occurred while every other customer was attended to and received and finished their breakfast. The room was not clean, the bed sheets were full of dust, the sink light was broken, the seating area next to the bed was broken, the room was full of ants. It’s also isolated from the remainder of the beach. We could write more but won’t continue as I’m sure you’ll get the point.

Home Sweet Home!”
That is how se felt in Koh Rong Samloem Laguna. Location: 20 minutes walk from the nearest pier where the Fast Boat drops you off. If you are not much of a walking por person you can ask the staff to pick you up with their Boat. they have a Boat service from the resort to the beach and back3/4 times a day for free. The "Villas" or Rooms are like private separate rooms very clean and comfortable with a private terrace. Internet works very good! The food in the restorant is delicius and has moderate rates. Even though it doesnt have a wide sandy beach it has a little private beach and private pier. Don't miss the Beautiful sunset on the deck above the water! They are building few more Villas, a tenis court and a pool! but don't worry this is not a problem as There is almost no noise. Finally the best thing they have is the staff. Everyone specially Joyce and Vig the managers Made us feel like home, it was like a big family There. Highly recomend this place! Hope to come back again!

Just amazing”
This was our first trip to the island and the Laguna Samloem did not disappoint. Probably the best customer service we have ever experienced, such nice people. Amazing room, amazing food, amazing island. You have to do the plankton tour as well it is awesome. Will definitely return here, cannot recommend it enough!

Warm hearts make it best”
We came from Vietnam and stayed 2 nights here in occasion of Vietnam's public holidays. This was an nice resort where every staff and manager (who can speak English) would always smile and give you a very kind question if you're doing well, feeling good, eat well, etc. They helped us plan our trip on the island, showed us the way to the most beautiful scene and beach on Koh Rong where we wished we could stay there forever. Its facility might not be the best on island, but its people are absolutely the best: nice, kind and warm.

Wonderful place and people”
The staff made this stay really special. They helped me plan a surprise birthday for my boyfriend, and they really went all out, which was so awesome. Because Laguna is a small resort, the staff really makes you feel welcome and home. So different from anywhere else. The resort itself is so nice. Has a private beach but you can also easily walk to the main beach if you wish. The chef cooks some delicious foods, and the deserts that are made are THE best! Can’t say thank you to the staff enough, for making this stay so special.

Decent Place to Stay ”
A boat is required to get to Laguna Resort. So plan accordingly. The room was nice enough for the price. I could have done with slightly better cleanliness in bathroom area. I understand with the humidity, battling mildew can be an issue but it was a bit much for my liking. Private beach is nice. Staff are super welcoming and very accommodating. Decent food.

We stayed at Laguna for 15 nights and couldn't have been made to feel more at home. Joyce, Vig and the team truly go all out to make sure you are happy. This was the much needed break we required from 2 months of on the go travelling. The dogs are well behaved and so full of love. The food is incredible and we were told if there was anything we wanted off menu just to let them know. The plankton swimming at night is a highlight of my entire 2.5 month trip so far and definitely recommend doing it. If I could give Laguna 1000/10 I would.

Don't waste your money staying anywhere else”
If you stay at any other resort or hotel on this island, you will regret it for the rest of your life. This place was magical from the moment we stepped off the boat. We were greeted by the friendly smiling faces of Joyce and Vic who addressed us by our first names, saying "welcome home" From then onwards they proceeded to explain and show us every single thing that was possible on the island and made us feel extremely comfortable throughout our stay. We were even given a private spot on the beach where they set up a lounging chair and sent waiting staff over throughout the night. The sunset was beautiful and we felt very special. I have to make a special mention that the food is really good! They have one local chef that gets experimental in the kitchen and provides really amazing dishes. As vegetarian options, they went out of their way to make us a meal that was not on the menu but still had equal amounts of flavour as everything else. Joyce and Vic are the kinds of people that make travel worthwhile and if I met them outside of their resort I would invite them into my own home. That's how good we felt! It was clean, warm and beautiful!

Perfect paradise resort ”
The resort was amazing set on a private part of the beach. The lodges were spacious, clean & had beautiful views of the sea. The staff were super friendly & helpful, organising trips like seeing bioluminescence plankton or a boat trip to visit other parts of the island. The buffet food was tasty & plentiful. Also the chef tried out new recipes when we were there. Currently building a pool, tennis court & more lodges so we will return to visit this wonderful place again.
