We stayed for one night and booked the hotel again for our return stay from Siem Reap for another 2 nights. The first experience was just ok nothing fantastic. But for the return stay I must say that it left us with a good impression. We would like to thank the wonderful staff for their service even when we were a bit fussy especially Kimsour (FO supervisor), Pissey(reception) Pak Kong(driver) Sokim (Skybar asst mgr). Hopefully i spelt them correctly. These few gave fantastic service, better than 5 star hotel service. On top of that they gave us service recovery for the hairdryer incident on the 1st stay. Our last thanks goes to Julien the Operations Manager who answered my questions via emails from the time i booked the hotel till the end of our stay. We will not hesitate to come back again and recommend our friends.

Huge statement above, but not a word of a lie this is probably one of the best hotels we've experienced (and we've travelled quite extensively) Only been opened for over a month, value for money is exceptional. 1) Clean and comfortable 2) Modern 3) Chic 4) INFINITY POOL 5) Exceptional Food 6) Service is phenomenal 7) Location is fantastic - Great variety of Vietnamese cuisine in the surrounding neighbourhood Book before busy season and the prices go up! We loved this place!

The staff are very friendly and ready to help as needed. Tuk-Tuk and can service are available directly out of front door. It’s great to walk around the park or to sit on the balcony to people watch in the evenings. The park is bursting with activity. In the evening people gather and dance, children and family are dining out. The breakfast is small but good. The down side is they only serve breakfast, but a few doors down is the best Italian restaurant called Limoncello’s. The owner is from Napoli and the best Italian I have had in a very long time. There is also a Mexican restaurant called Mexicano a little further from the hotel but the best authentic Mexican food and margaritas! The facilities are clean at the hotel, the rooms are huge. The pool small but nice. It was an excellent pick. Make your way to street 240 for cool shops and nice places to eat.

have reviewed himawari previously but that was a year or more ago so here is an update. the location is out of the main tourist zone, quiet, right by the river, nice river views from many of the suites/rooms. agoda bookings seem to result in the less dramatic views but the suites are so good anyway how could you complain for the price? there are single room suites with small kitchenettes and a dining table, also one and two bedroom apartments if you are travelling with others. this is not a child-oriented hotel, nor is it a tourist fun palace. quite a few people live here fulltime. it is ideal for business people, older people and quiet people. the gym and pool are great for phnom penh - so many good hotels have no pool so it is something to be very grateful for. the breakfast has a lot of choices, a nod to chinese, japanese, indonesian and vietnamese and plenty of bacon and fresh cooked eggs to your order. cereals not so good, ran out of muesli on day 2 but you can enjoy plenty of fresh fruit and bakery items including baguettes, pastries and sometimes even dark rye bread. the hotel is increasingly being used for official meetings and evening parties but this usually is not annoying, however one day was given over to a very noisy event with awful loud singers and lots of kids. here are some small niggles: the saucepans in the kitchenette were the wrong size and one was completely unusable due to a deformed base which could not lie flat on the stovetop. there were no mugs for tea or coffee, only those really annoying small cups and saucer sets. the personal lighting on the bedside table was very dim - the lamps were ok but if you want to read in bed at night they could not be adjusted. the airconditioning seemed to get too cold and the level of airflow could not be adjusted down enough to make it comfortable to sit directly in it which made using the desk area almost impossible when it was on. small things but they undercut the otherwise high standards.

This was my first time in Cambodia, and by the Western standards of development, they are way down the scale. But by my standards, they are way up. They are some of the happiest, most pleasant, always smiling, polite people in the world. The reason I am writing this here is to set up the review. When you have such wonderful staff in a hotel, how can you possibly find fault or write about any flaw even if there was one. From start to finish, from booking to check out, from the reception to the restaurant to the manager to housekeeping, they were ever ready with a smile on their face. One evening we came back from The Vegetarian with takeaway since the restaurant ahd closed. The reception noticed this as we walked in, and immediately inquired if we needed plates and cutlery sent to the room! I was floored! The best of best hotels might struggle with this kind of service. The hotel itself is an intimate boutique hotel right on Street 240. It has a very light and fresh feel about it. The restaurant Le Cafe feels so light I was afreaid it might start floating! We just had breaakfasts each morning, and no buffets here, thank goodness. You can pretty much what you want from the menu, and of course the highlight is the fresh fruits and passion fruit juice....yummy! The coffee was one of the best I had any where, leave alone in Asia, where coffee is an alien commodity! The room itself was quite spacious with a very functional bathroom. However, I do think the shower stall needs a glass panel or door, since the water does spill outside. Three cheers for the cheerful Cambodians and three cheers for the White Mansion!

The hotel provides airport transfer for an affordable fees. We arrived earlier than scheduled, but the hotel staff greeted us with smiles and humbleness. While there was no available room for us yet to check in (due to full booking the day before which is understandable), they did their best by serving us welcome drinks and suggested to try their sky bar upstairs. They also offered help if there was anything we need with the tour planning. Will definitely stay here when we come back to Phnom Penh again. Thank you to all staff of Queen Grand, we had a pleasant stay.

Best Hotel we have stayed in Southeast Asia so far. We got a last minute deal at Teahouse and could not be more pleased with the hotel. All the luxuries of a 5 star at a fraction of the price. Staff was great! Courteus, spoke good English and did everythig within reach to help. We arrived late at night (last bus from Ho Chi Mihn) and took a tuk tuk to the hotel. Since I did not have the time to withdraw cash at, I did not have any rials or USD on me; only Vietnamese dongs. Arriving at the hotel their exchange desk was closed already but one of the gentleman at the front desk actually lent me some of his own money for me to pay the the tuk tuk driver. Location is very central, a bit away from the crowds, which is good to relax after a long day. Restaurant is very good and serves great breakfast. I have nothing other than praise for this hotel and it's staff.

This hotel had renovation and change its name. Location were good, accessible to many tourist attraction. The breakfast just normal. But the bed are old. My friend feel have spring on her back when sleeping which made her uncomfortable during sleeping. The receptionist were not nice as I request for extra room card as there are 2 people staying but he ignore and didn't answer my question twice.

our stay at the hotel cambodiana was one of the best hotel visits ever. the reasons were simple. they are: good location, courteous staff, and best of all great value for the money. the hotel’s location in phnom penh was perfect. it’s right on the river (the confluence of both the tone sap and the mekong rivers). the rooms of the riverside offers an excellent view of fishing boats as well as the pool below. in addition, the hotel is very close to the best tourist attractions. these include the king’s palace, sisowath quay, central market, and especially killing fields memorial. it is also close to great restaurants (like the titanic restaurant), as well as boat tours on the quay. the best way to get transportation was to contact any of the hotel staff. which brings up the staff themselves. all of them were especially kind, resourceful, and very responsive. special regards goes to the concierge, and executive chef song teng (including all of his staff). everyone treated us like family which helped us overcome those minor inconveniences one would encounter at any hotel. what amazes me was that we have received five star treatment without having to pay traditional five star prices. the fact of paying good prices for great services brings me to the best part of our stay. that is value for the money. even though i have spent more money at this hotel than other places, i have felt i have gotten the most value for the money due to the reasons explained above. in other words, get a room on the riverside, take advantage of the great location, and don’t hesitate to ask the staff for anything. tipping may not be required, but it will go a long way to get that great service. i would definitely go back to this hotel again at the earliest opportunity.

I stayed here for one night. The hotel was clean and modern. It also has a gym, which I didn't realize during the booking process, and which looked small but modern. The best part of the hotel is the rooftop pool - it has a nice view and since there are no trees surrounding it, you'll avoid the usual fight against mosquitoes. Another thing I didn't realize during the booking process: The jungle addition is in a separate part down the street. So if you want easy access to the nice rooftop pool, you'll need to select the non-jungle rooms.

We were here over the new year's holiday - for a couple of nights. hubby and i got really sick due to food poisoning but that is no fault of the hotel. we must of ate something bad outside. this hotel is absolutely stunning and spotless. nothing bad to say about it. breakfast was super. we booked the City Grande room and oh my word its just the best looking room we've ever been in. bed and pillows were so so comfy we slept like babies. they had a jacuzzi in the room but we didnt get to use it. staff were marvellous. always greeting you with a smile and very very helpful. we commute via tuk tuks they were really cheap anyway. we enjoyed our stay tremendously and if we ever return to PP we will deffo stay here again!

I had the best time at this hotel and we even scored a mobile deal! Before getting here, I read the reviews and someone was critical of a few things, so I came keeping my expectations level, and I realized afterwards that the person who wrote that was seriously way too used to the fancy life. This is easily one of the nicest hotels I have had the privilege of staying in. The street that people complain about is also not that bad. There are just some local food stalls. It's what you commonly see on the streets. Do yourself a favour and book this..I've never had better for under 20$ (and 30when we extended our stay). The staff were excellent too. All great!!

From the second they got me reservation with the special requests the staff was completely accommodating. They worked out flowers and even did the flowers in such a way that it blew my girls mind. They made the bed beautiful. Their beds were awesome, their pillows amazing and their robes luxurious. The staff was the best they went out of their way on everything. They were kid. They were giving. They took time. The whole staff were great. The breakfast was great!! It may sound unreal but the service was unreal. it was unbelievably good. What a place because what great people. They were like family. I would recommend this hotel. They were honest they were friendly and they really went out of their way to make the stay a great one.

what an amazing hotel! my partner and i travelled through vietnam cambodia and singapore, and without doubt this was the best hotel we stayed in - note, we stayed in a 5 star hotel too! this hotel had everything we needed, or the staff knew someone who did! we were greeted with refresher towels and cold drinks, and then a free upgrade. our room was huge with enough space to fit 2 queens and king bed, whilst the bathroom was equally impressive (ive never been in a bigger shower). cocktails were exceptionally nice (and cheap), which we regularly enjoyed in the afternoon on the rooftop, with perfect views in 360 degrees. the breakfast was so fresh and tasty (french pastries and fruit bought in the morning) and drink requests were also taken. definitely my favourite time of the day. thr hotel organised a tuk tuk driver for the day who took us to s-21 and choeung ek and looked after us well. the only complaint i had (or rather my partner had) was that when we requested a specific tour with a specific tour company to be organised for us, the gentleman didnt udnerstand our request. other than that, this was a 5 star hotel disguised as a 3.5 star one!

The hotel was located right across from the park in front of the royal palace. There were number of restaurants around, tuk tuk drivers waiting just outside the gate all the time to take you around the city, though you need to negociate, the drivers were gererally generous and trustworthy. There is a travel agent right next to the hotel which made my trip to the beach and Angkor very easy. The owners were really sweet. Everyday, I used internet there. There are number of computers with Skype, international phone call, and more. It was so much cheaper to use computer there. I think it was like 25 cents an hour or so to use the computer. The staff at the hotel was really kind even when I had to leave the hotel at 4am to attend my friends wedding. The break fast is complementary and it is prepared after you order the meal from the menu. The food was really delicious! I would go back to the hotel again for this price.

i will admit my single room was very small and a little cramped and the bathroom was a little oddly arranged. however, a room is just a place to sleep when i'm not out sightseeing. the number 9 hotel is terrifically located about a 5 minute walk from the silver pagoda/royal palace. the first things that impressed me was the interior dining room/bar which is the first thing you come across. after arriving i was hungry, and asked for a recommendation for food, of course the staff recommended their restaurant. terrific recommendation. the food at this hotel is amazing. while maybe not 5* gourmet food, the kitchen staff definitely puts a lot of emphasis into their food. the breakfast i had, worth paying extra to have it included in your room rate, was the best breakfast i've ever had in any hotel ever. the staff was amazing, and when i had an issue with my cellphone went out of their way to bring it to be fixed. they also helped me set up a day tour to the killing fields/s21 and the russian market. the staff, this hotel and other things in cambodia helped me fall in love with cambodia as a tourist! i would go back to the hotel and the country in a heartbeat!

We stayed for two nights and didn't want to leave. The service was very good - it felt personal but also professional. The room was large with a very nice bathroom. There are lovely poolside booths to relax by and the food/drink is very nice. Very helpful staff who are able to book travel on your behalf. The resturant was good, prices no more than riverfront resturants. Overall it the best hotel we stayed in on our entire trip. Have recommended to lots of friends. Not by the popular riverfront area but I wouldnt say it matters because the tuk tuks are so cheap and readily available. If we come back to phnom penh, we will definitely stay here again!

There's a Kha Vi Villa and a Kha Vi Guesthouse. I think they are under the same owner. Kha Vi Villa is newer and comes with individual rooms and Kha Vi Guesthouse is dormitory style. Both are in a great location. Location is great, right beside Grand King Hotel but you paid less. Kha Vi Villa has a small pool and bar at the ground level. Room is spacious and comfortable. Clean hotel with standing shower. Shampoo and shower gel provided in dispenser. TV channels are plenty. For breakfast, you have a fruit juice with coffee/tea and you can choose an item from the menu selection like Pancakes, Omelet, American breakfast and noodle soup. Wifi is not that stable, comes on and off. Service is great as they are very friendly and accommodating but service can be slow at times. Had dinner at the hotel and we waited 1 hour for our food. From hotel to Royal Palace, it's only 5 mins walk, 20 mins walk to the riverfront and also 15 mins walk to Nagaworld. Lots of Tuk Tuk right outside the hotel. So transportation is not an issue. Hotel has no lift so if you don't like climbing the stairs, try to ask for a room in the lower floors. Overall, a clean hotel that's centrally located and comes at a great value.

This is a nice little boutique hotel tucked away down a quiet side-street. Initially I was in a twin room, but then was changed into a double room (room 5) which was much nicer. It's quite a centrally located hotel and you can wander about to things quite easily, if you like walking. It's about a 25 minute walk from the main streets with all the bars etc. The staff are friendly and helpful. I didn't have breakfast, so cannot comment on the food. What was an absolute bonus for me is that there is a vegetarian restaurant just next door. The food there is delicious and I ate there every day. The owners David and Heng are lovely. So the combination of a cute little hotel and veggie restaurant made for a great stay. One minor negative was the building work going on next to the hotel, which meant that sleeping past 7am was not really possible.

I booked two rooms for two nights for myself and my family and both rooms surpassed our expectations. The location cannot be better-it is just a short walk to the Independence Monument and accessible to all the tourist attractions. Check-in was straightforward and swift. The beds were soft and comfortable, the linens immaculately clean. Complimentary coffee, tea, and mineral water inside the rooms. Both rooms were tastefully decorated. Breakfast served by the pool made an excellent setting. There was a wide selection of food and drinks. The outdoor pool was inviting anytime of the day since they fill it with salty water and is well maintained. staff were very helpful and responsive to all our inquiries and needs. The tuktuk driver outside the hotel is friendly. You feel very secured since the gate is always closed and access to the hotel is limited to guests. They sell souvenir items at reasonable prices and Mr. Kim was quick in offering a discount even without being asked when I purchased the last piece of one of t-shirt with collar. I will definitely stay again in this hotel on my next trip to Phnom Penh. Highly recommended for the 5-star experience it offers without making a dent on your budget.

We were located on the third floor , room no 8 . We had a 20 kilo suitcase to lug up 3 floors but we managed with the female receptionist offerring her help , bless her, the suitcase was bigger than her ! We read previous reports that it was noisy on the top floor but not in our case , besides you get what you pay for . The room was comfy enough , tv had a good selection of channels , smallish room but adequate for our needs . Shower was always hot with good water pressure . We felt safe as all doors were locked at 22:00 each night . Guests are given a key to unlock the gates if they arrive after 22:00 . It is quite difficult to find so have a good map / directions to get there . It is a 20 min walk to the Royal Palace so location is good for restaurants etc . The bread at breakfast is the best I have had . Really fresh . You get a selection of choices between fried / scrambled eggs or omelet with sliced fresh baguette or fruit with bread and jam . Both are yummy ! Also unlimited coffee and tea . All presented very well . The Staff were friendly and helpful . This Guesthouse deserves it good reputation . Thankyou for an enjoyable stay ! 🙂

I had a great time at this hotel during my time in Phnom Penh. The room was cheap but still had everything I needed. The hotel offers a variety of services for guests including visa applications and transportation. I purchased my bus ticket to Siem Reap at the hotel and they also offered boat tickets if you wanted to do that instead. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

the guesthouse is older but seems to be in good condition. very narrow stairways and halls. i had a decent room with aircon and fan and good wifi and tv. the bed was worn out. after i rotated the mattress it was somewhat better. hopefully they are not all like that. the staff are excellent and plentiful. the food was good. best tom yam soup i've had yet. the hotel is located at the west end of the riverside district on a street with several other backpacker guest houses. very easy to book travel and sightseeing from the front desk.

my girlfriend and i stumbled across this hotel purely by chance on arriving in phnom penn with nowhere booked and we were blown away by what we found. excellent location, beautifully chic setting, small and very personal service from a most welcoming and helpful manager francois. both him and his staff were ever present, attentive without being over bearing, interested in making your experience in the city as relaxing and smooth sailing as possible. the rooms are absolutely beautiful, spacious, with lots of natural light through the large french windows, brilliantly clean and that was just the standard double. we would have happily spent all our days in the room, but the intimate, pleasant and relaxing outdoor pool and bar area was always calling out to us when we weren't out and about in town. a real great space to come back to after a long hectic day around town. we found our selves rushing back every evening to spend quality time there. the breakfast was plentiful and refreshing, however the lunch and dinner menus were not extensive.

Used to be that breakfast would be included and I booked this time thinking it would be the same. But surprise, I was billed by the hotel for breakfast. Indeed this was noted in the Agoda booking voucher. So the hotel is trying to be competitive by making breakfast optional. Thus the costs per night has gone down. They should also check the aircon. The wind is too strong and no matter how I adjusted the remote control, the wind strength was the same.

We initially booked for one night after staying at another hotel the previous night that did not live up to its reputation. As soon as we walked into the hotel and were shown to our room, we logged onto wifi and extended our booking by another two nights. Splash Inn is well location, we walked just about everywhere including the Royal Palace, Museum, Central Markets and the pier for a river cruise. The staff were fantastic, as soon as we got into the pool, the staff would bring pool towels. Another review mentioned the fridge was turned off when they arrived, the same happened to us which is not surprising given we arrived at 10am less than an hour after making our booking. We had hoped we would leave our bags and perhaps have a swim but were very happy to find that there was a room that we could move straight into. The staff brought cold water to our room and it didn't take long for the fridge to cool down. The air conditioning was extremely effective. We had a room by the pool which was both a positive and negative. It was great because it was only a few steps to the pool but on the first morning it was a little noisy with people coming and going, so if you like to sleep in you might want a room other than room 108. The breakfast was fantastic particularly the pancakes and it was great to know we could have vegemite on toast if we wanted it. One thing to note is if you order juice and are asked if you wanted freshly squeezed juice it will cost $2.25. We found this out when we checked out and received a $9 bill. When we asked for juice and were asked what type of juice we wanted and were provided with three options including freshly squeezed orange juice we had assumed it was included with breakfast as it had been with other hotels. Our fault for not checking before we ordered. It was great juice albeit a little pricey for Cambodia. If we come back to Phnom Penh we would definitely stay again

Location is perfect, very close to the Royal Palace. Staff is excellent, very good English. They are always there to help. You can book different tickets, exchange your money, have really great food in the restaurant. Tv and pool table in the bar. The room and the bath is not the best ever but clean. No bugs or mosquitos. When I stayed there a/c didn't work, only a fan.
