Where to stay in Shuzenji
Shuzenji hotels & accommodations
Needs a shuttle bus to get anywhere. Unless you want to spend the weekend at the resort, it is a fair way from Shuzenji itself. They do have shuttle buses to the station though. Room was ok but no way to change air con controls. Also facilities to make tea/food but no tea supplies which was strange. Even cheap hotels at least have ocha or instant coffee. It was ok. B...
Pro: it’s situated up the hill with Mr Fuji view, very quiet place with onsen. Shuttle bus is provided from hotel to Shuzenji Station and to a bus stop of about 1km yon Shuzenji onsen, with a nice walk up to ume grove and maple forrest. Con: slightly pricey if you are staying alone. Time for shuttle should be provided in English too. I mistook a shuttle 1415hrs which ...
We went here for our honeymoon it was amazing! From the moment you come in the make you feel like a king! They take care of you 100% the food it’s AMAZING. I completely recommend this hotel! We will come back for sure
A very popular onsen hotel within the region. Worthy for the attention as the chef team is outstanding in preparing all the meals.
Our stay was amazing, as second time visitors to Arai Ryokan (first time 2006 we were childless and this time 2015 we came with our son) we were so happy to see the place being run really well. We wanted our son to have an appreciation of a ryokan experience and were so happy with the welcoming environment at Arai. From the moment we arrived it was like being transpo...
Need to clean the toilet better, beside that, from food and quality, is excellent. Very good price to service, also very close to major attractive spots in Shuzenji
The hotel offers in shuzenji station transgers, and take me to shuzenji signseeing, which is a special service, very thank for the hotel gareful help.
As Ryokan,it meet my expectation, location is good around Shuzenji Onsen. Room is well orgenized and clean as it should be. Japanese bath robe is peovided which you can walk in the village with it on. Staff is professional and very helpful. Dinner is superb, you will never regret taking it. Very good choice if stay in Shuzenji area.
Overall satisfied, but beware if a big tour group is also checking in, as they may fill up the dining room and the onsen. Some food in the buffet line (such as tempura at dinner, or boiled rice at breakfast), are not replenished even if there are still at least 30-45 minutes left of the time period. Check out time is 10am. The Bamboo Room is nice with massage chairs...
This is my 2nd visit here and both times I have found the location and the meals to be outstanding. A visit to Shuzenji is a lovely stop and this is a very nice place. The Onsen is nice, but beginning to show its age a little. However the meal and the service were lovely.
