Great place to stay ”
First, the location on the island is great, near a small village with a lot of options for food, drinks and activities, not far from beautiful beaches and snorkeling spots. We stayed in both deluxe and regular bungalows, both are really nice in their own style, and in quiet area. The view from the bungalows and restaurant is beautiful, directly on the sea, especially for sunset of course. The food at the restaurant (fish, seafood, french) is delicious ! The owner and staff are more than welcoming and helpful! Perfect place to stay in Koh Rong Samloem.

Rustic and quiet”
We enjoyed our stay. The bungalows were basic, located amidst the trees and plants but also near the sea. There was no water coming out of the tap in our bathroom which made it difficult to wash your hands and face. I had to put the shower spray into the sink and turn it on and off. The manager's response was a shrug. He eventually changed our bungalow. The lounge area was beautiful and comfortable and had the sea on both sides and a great view of the sunset. I liked the fact that it was near M'Pai Village which added a little variety to the day. While the shore around the bungalows is very rocky, there is a lovely beach about a 10 minute walk past the village. I had wanted to snorkel, but the manager was no help, just pointing over to the rocks. I later found that there were boats leaving from the village. So it is a great place, and while the staff was fine, the manager (or owner) was not very helpful or accommodating.

Cute rustic bungalows”
We happened on Sunset bungalows. The bungalows are open air so you should expect lizard visitors but they don't bother me. The mosquito nets worked great, no bites. The deck, hammock and view were lovely. The restaurant was the most beautiful spot on the beach, on a small peninsula. Management and staff were friendly and helpful

Home for a few days”
Nice quiet bungalow just distant enough from the fuzz (if you can call it that) in the village. The price was a bit on the high side, although all the accomodations throughout Cambodia seemed to be during the high season. I'd say it was worth the money in Cambodia, but with the same price you'll step up a class in Thailand or even Vietnam. The two fans in our bungalow kept it cool enough to sleep, and the sound of ocean at the doorstep took care of the rest. Take into consideration that it does have jungle for a neighbour, so you will encounter bugs etc. That said, I would definitely book again.

pricey jungle experience”
44$ for fan-bungalow without hot water is very expensive... low value, on pictures the rooms are much better! jungle experience! ants, mosquitos, wood eating bugs, geckos everywhere. free water for refills, free snorkel/fins, free wifi. the restaurant is ok. clean sheets, but needed to sew my mosquito-net (two big holes). toilet with seawater, no hot shower. some animal ATE my soap bar.

The bungalows offer a decent bed (mosquito net included) and basic, yet clean, sanitary provisions, a porch with sea view and that's about it. However, as you will probably spend most of your time at the beach or in the village the bungalows are just fine, but don't expect luxury like airco or a fridge.

Clean bungalow with private bathroom. Close to the jungle, small animals can reach the bungalow. Almost quiet place. Sometimes the nearby guesthouse plays music hard. You van borrow snorkels for free. Nice sunset.

Quiet and peaceful place but inconvinient for going there”
The bungalow is located in another side of Korong Salem island, which you only go by private boat from main pier at Korong Saloem, it costs a lot if you don't go with a group, or you have to wait till 5pm to get food supply boat then you have to pay more 5usd/ person. Korong Saloem main area is already quiet place, you can stay there then across jungle to look sunset. This bungalow is suitable for person love diving, snorkelling and close to local people

Basic but beautiful”
The location is stunning. The facilities are very basic and our mosquito net had quite a few holes. My husband ended up fixing these with tape. We stayed one night and thought that these bungalows looked to be the best in the area.

difficult to access to the resort (almost got lost but then luckily found the way), however, it repays by quietness. Overall a good experience.

Disrespectful, frightening owner!”
Disrespectful, frightening owner of overpriced bungalows in a bay where the noise is constant until 2 in the morning and people drink and do drugs all day. Terrible experience. He forced us to leave 1 day earlier because the toilet was blocked and the water hose beside the toilet was disconnected. He screamed and said he never had that problem before. He should learn manners first! He was so aggressive that I left without complaining. He was always in bad mood from the first emails we exchanged. Definitely, the worst experience I've had in my many years of frequent traveler. If you like drinking and smoking all day, go to Mpey bay.

Horrible le mot es faible...”
Arrivée très enthousiastes sur l'île paradisiaque de koh rong samloem...mais notre joie est vite retombée lors de notre installation dans notre bungalow... un bungalow qui ne reflétais en aucun cas aux photos sur Booking lors de notre réservation !!! Bungalow en paille et non en bois, coin pour se laver plus que rudimentaire, lavabo prêt à tomber, lit dur et punaise de lit sur le matelas humide, drap sale maculé de traces blanches, moustiquaire rafistolée, trous au sols et dans la paille, la porte d'entrée ne ferme pas, ménage non fait vu les nombreux débris sous le lit, aucun entretien extérieur...bref rien pour prétendre à un bon séjour....nous sommes restés qu'une nuit au lieu de trois!!!! 35$ la nuit pour cette cabane c'est beaucoup trop cher...à notre départ on nous as fait payé deux nuits mais c'est pas grave on voulait juste partir de cet endroit....un boss français inexistant, pourtant sur son descriptif c'est bien stipulé que le personnel aussi parlait français mais non pas un mot!!!! Apres cette halte au sunset bungalow on peut constaté beaucoup de mensonges dans la description de cet établissement... honte à ce francais qui ne respecte pas sa clientèle, n'entretient pas ni embelli la beauté du lieu qu'il occupe....vraiment déçu de s'êtes fait avoir....

Bon emplacement et excellente qualité de service”
Bungalow + sanitaires intégrées très propres. Tous les bungalow ont vue sur mer et coucher du soleil Personnel francais agréable. Nous avions demandé à changer de bungalow car éloigné du restaurant, cela nous a été exaucé gentiment. Restaurant très correct mise à part l'attente un peu longue...mais plats très copieux!

Excellent séjour ”
Nous avons passé quelques jours magiques, les bungalows sont simples mais tres propres, l'endroit est superbe. Bien sûr il faut savoir à quoi s'attendre : le confort est sommaire, pas d'eau chaude et pas d'électricité entre minuit et 7h, mais c'est l'endroit parfait pour se relaxer et vivre quelques jours coupés du reste du monde. Les lits sont très bons, les bungalows sont impeccables, le restaurant est également très bien et le personnel est attentif. Nous remercions particulièrement Thomas pour son accueil.

Bungalow avec terrasse vue mer et espacé les uns des autres. Impossible de se baigner proche des bungalows, plage éloigné. Très proche du village de pêcheur mais très sale. Obligé de prendre un bateau pour rejoindre les belles plages.

Lage super und auch ruhig, da etwas abgelegen. Leider sind die Holzhütten in vernachlässigtem Zustand und dunkel innen, weshalb der Preis von 50$ überteuert ist. Trotzdem war ich das 2. Mal genau dort.

Entspannte Tage auf Koh Rong Samloem ”
Wer in Kambodscha ein paar ruhige Tage verbringen möchte (und nicht doch vielleicht besser auf einer thailändischen Insel), ist auf Koh Rong Samloem am Ort MPay Bay gut aufgehoben. Die Sunset Bangalows sind absolut okay und schienen uns besser zu sein als die meisten anderen (wenigen) Unterkünfte. Die Bungalows liegen nah am Meer, allerdings nicht an einem Sandstrand. Man könnte das Restaurant mit wenig Aufwand noch netter gestalten. Insgesamt aber angenehme, sehr relaxte Atmosphäre.
