Tay Ho District hotels & places to stay

Only a quick taxi to the old quarter, Tay Ho is such a cool area with a very chilled mix of western and local vibe. I loved relaxing by the pool, comfy bed and met some cool people at the bar. Would definitely recommend, the staff were very friendly and helped me book a couple of tours. Will stay again when I return to Hanoi!

At first our booking didnt go through (apparently there is a problem booking through agoda here) but the beds were awesome and facilities were super clean. Great price for the accomodation. It isnt near food though so you should get a grab or cross over a highway to get to Tay Ho westlake area for some great food

Just a few walks to the West Lake. Friendly and helpful staff. Not much street food, but it's no problem. The price is so cheap, compared with nearby hotels The room was clean, big. Comfortable stay.

I have stayed at Gia Kim hotel twice when visiting my girlfriend, and the staff has been very accommodating in many ways. They provide me with an iron, adaptor, daily cleaning, fresh towels. The owner and manager are very, very helpful and will do anything to make your stay pleasant. The bed was very comfortable and most items in the apartment were brand new. It is a 20 minute drive from the Old Quarter - the tourist hot spot, but if you like peace and quiet, you can find it here. The place can be considered to be strategically located as it is very accessible to taxis and is very near West Lake. Creepy though as the hallways are dark and fronting the elevator (6th floor where we stayed), there are nude photos which are inappropriate if you have kids with you. The room is old but spacious. Tis hotel basically is far from most amenities except Ho Tay which is the lake… it's quite difficult to get transport unless u speak Vietnamese and able to call Grab. There is a Karaoke beside which may be noisy if u get the wrong room… Staff were unable to communicate with English. Great room for the price, convenient location a 5 minute walk to bars restaurants and the lake. Would not recommend to a female solo traveller as it's down a small alley

Very helpful staff, the owner is a lovely guy (bought me a breakfast at nearby cafe). The hotel is very clean and easily access to both Tay Ho and Old Quarter areas, as it is half way between both areas

Cannot express enough how good the staff and services were. Stayed here for a week and it felt like home. Although the location is a bit far off downtown, it was easy to get taxis and the taxi rates were reasonable. The Tay Ho river is right across the property and is a great place to relax in the evenings with lots of cafes and street stalls around.

The staff are quite nice. No breakfast provided but you can easily find food nearby. The west lake is beautiful. However, the hotel is difficult to find at the first time and the street number is not very well known by taxi driver.

Hotel is in excellent position relatively close to downtown. Problem could be with mosquitoes because of high level of humidity and position along the lake shore. Room furniture is old and in a bad condition. Breakfast does not offer too much choices and it was generally the same. Generally, I will say it is 3 star hotel.

Comfortable place for West lake area

The residence has a direct access to Ho Tay, playground (indoors and outdoors) bus services to all main spots in Hanoi. Staff speak excellent English and very friendly. Best place I stayed in Hanoi with my 2 toddlers.

The beds are comfortable, the hotel is in a great location, and the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. We stayed here once, left to go to Cat Ba, and then booked here again upon returning to Hanoi because of our first positive experience. Somewhat outdated (fitness equipment, etc.), but everything is clean and in working order. Highly recommended.

This was our 1st trip Hanoi to visit our adult son teaching English. Spent most of our time in Old Quarter, but then wanted to stay in Tay Ho area near his apartment. The Hanoi Club was a great choice. Beautiful location on the lake. Large hotel like most in the area. Would choose again with future trips

Not encoutered any negative issues. All good. Room is big. Location is a bit away from business district. But given difficulties in finding a big space room/hotel with window and reasonable price in Ha Noi, it was a good choice.

Great hotel located in the middle of the hip Tay Ho area. The staff are second to none, so helpful and courteous. The breakfast is to die for! Pool is lovely. Lots of eateries nearby. For drinks check out the 5th floor rooftop bar at Home Kitchen. The view is amazing.

right on tay ho lake, great views to lake. about thirty minute walk, or three dollar cab ride to old quarter. nice walk. breakfast is 21 dollars apiece! we didn't eat it. pool area pretty nice. rooms pretty quiet, but noise from busy street below is noticable. we enjoyed the hotel a great deal, it is what you would expect from a sofitel.
