Good Hotel in Heart of Manila's Greenbelt District”

Great location, clean, comfortable rooms

Located in the heart of Manila'a Greenbelt District just 10 minutes from Manila's airport (make sure you get a metered taxi and make sure the driver turns on the meter and it will cost you about $3-$4 USD to get to the hotel ... so tip the guy ... they are poor), The E-Hotel Makati is an ideal location to access top end shopping, embassies, entertainment, and restaurants. The hotel is small and run by very friendly, polite and helpful staff. It is located on the busy Pasay Road so make sure you request a quiet room in the back; although you will have no view, it is quiet. The rooms are clean and well-appointed with a mini-bar, large flat screen TV with multiple international channels, air conditioning, very good bed and linens, etc. The bathrooms are modern, but they have a bathtub with sliding glass doors that are precarious to get in and out of; be careful! The only other drawback is the WiFi was slow and unreliable. Overall, The E-Hotel Makati is the best value for money I have found so far in Manila and I go to this city several times a year.

Best of both worlds

whether for business or pleasure, e-hotel answers to all you needs. my family and i were so lucky to come in, with its new ("soft opening" was nov 2011) amenities....rooms were well kept (i loved the "minimalist" asian inspired theme of our room); the staff members were all accommodating (trixie for night shift; coco and nic for am shift) and the "unforgotten" very hardworking, reliable housekeeping department that meticulously answered to our long list of "beck and call" from fresh towels, to sheets, etc.....a "stone's throw away" from the busiest business district of the country (makati city)....what more can you ask....i look forward to coming back (with their special rates) if they will remember me...and i will not hesitate a second to endorse them....perfect!

Perfect!”

We were flying in/out of Manila and booked The E-Hotel for our first night. The rooms were great, wifi worked really well in the room (as long as there is a router in your room - if there isn't, just ask the staff and they will bring you one straight away). Due to some mishaps, we ended up being stuck in Manila and stayed an extra 2 nights. (It costs more if you don't book it through Agoda!) We were so happy with it that we booked it for our last night when flying out of Manila. A little more expensive than the rest of our accommodation, but locations was great. Greenbelt shopping is only 2 blocks away (great for food). Only negative is that the bathrooms don't drain well. A shower floods the whole bathroom a bit, and the sink doesn't drain well either. We stayed in 3 different rooms and they all had this problem. Recommend staying here though!!

Excellent rooms close to the action”

1 minute walk at from Greenbelt

This was one of the cheaper options in Makati, right in the heart of the Greenbelt area. As a solo female traveller, the area felt very safe compared to other parts of Makati I've stayed at. The deluxe suite I booked was very spacious and apart from some water damage on one wall of the room, it was clean and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and attentive - answering my requests very promptly and always with a smile. My room was at the front of the hotel facing the main road, but I didn't find it as noisy as some people have mentioned in other reviews. The best thing was the very short walk to Greenbelt, so getting home with lots of shopping or coming back late at night was no issue. The only thing that I didn't like were the weird sliding glass doors on the bathroom which don't close all the way, so you may not get all the privacy you need if you have friends visiting or staying over.

Affordable, Friendly, and clean”

Friendly staff, very accomodating, breakfast was affordable and tasty.

The staff at the E- hotel was very friendly and accommodating, the location was great; right in the heart of Makati and a hop skip and jump to Greenbelt, where one can enjoy a fun happy hour with live music to fine dining. For the price, location, friendliness of staff, to cleanliness of room-I would recommend the E-hotel.

Little known gem in the Heart of Makati”

Stayed at E-Hotel many many times. The location is as good as any 5+ star hotels in Makati. The hotel is clean and safe, facilities are as good as you'd need. Why pay 6 times the price for hotels in the same area when E-Hotel does the job. Great staff, great location, great price, good room service menu and prices...…… No brainer for me !

location, location. location. Friendly service, lots of amenities, and clean rooms

I always stay at the E-hotel Makati whenever I visit the Philippines. The hotel is located around the corner from Greenbelt 3. I have absolutely no complaints about the service or the staff. They are so attentive and friendly, plus they always remember me and that makes it more special because it feels like home. The breakfast is great! I highly recommend their mango or watermelon shakes... very delicious!

Modern hotel with great location”

Location, modern facilities, comfortable rooms

the best thing about this hotel is its' close proximity to the greenbelt mall. it is a very short 5 minute walk to the shops and restaurants. from the front and lobby areas, it looks like a budget hotel/motel. however, walking into the room, i was very delighted at the standard if the hotel. i had a big room with two twin beds. the bathroom was medium-sized, but modern and very clean. there was a problem with the sink, as there was no drainage hole in there, so i wasn't really sure where the water drained to, but it wasn't a big deal to me as i was only staying overnight. as a lone female traveller, i always felt safe walking back to the hotel. the other great advantage of this hotel is the forex next door. it was a convenient service. the staff always greeted me when i came in and were helpful in flagging down a taxi for a very early ride to the airport. i would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for an affordable stay in the makati area.

Great Location near Greenbelt”

clean, good service

The location is superb, walking distance to Greenbelt Shopping Center and Ayala Malls. There is convenience store in front of this hotel. Internet connection is free and fast. Breakfast is standard but okay. Clean and neat room. If you like shopping and dining, this hotel is definitely suitable for you. The bad thing in Manila is transportation. Taxi scam everywhere. So if your destination in Manila is Makati City, Greenbelt or Ayala Malls, this hotel is the answer.

Great location, nice room, value for money”

We had second thoughts booking this hotel because of some negative reviews. The facade and lobby may be unattractive but the room was great. It's spacious and has nice big windows. It's way better than other hotels we've stayed in (same price range). Would definitely consider this hotel again next time we needed a place to stay in Makati.

This hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Manila's shopping and business district in Makati. Situated right across Greenbelt, it gives you access to everything you could ever need while in Manila. Staff are exceptionally friendly, accommodating and always willing to help. The carpet is starting to show some wear and looks a little dirty since my last stay here but still a very clean rooms overall.

A real Gem !”

location, staff, bed

I booked this hotel based on the previous reviews and quite nervous whether it'll be nice or not. It turned out quite a gem of a place! I've stayed in lots of hotels and this place is ideal for its location, super attentive staff, and its own restaurant that serve unbelievably delicious local dishes. Check-in was real easy however, the room we were put inhad a weak air conditioner - which you wouldn't want if you're in Manila during the summer months as the heat is unbearable. I contacted the front desk and was immediately moved to a different room. We stayed for a pleasant two days and would definitely come back to this hotel!

New, near the mall”

small

New, small hotel. Nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable. No street noise in room, but no view either. Good internet included. Several easy walkable blocks away from Makati Mall. Now much infrastructure in this faciliity, with entry to hotel through the restaurant, wade through the tables to get to elevator. Visitor friendly. With most of the hotels in this neighborhood old-looking, and if the big nice one in front of the Mall is full, the E-hotel is an ok short-term option. Note that on account of newness, the taxi drivers might not know it.

We had a chance to stay this time at E-Hotel. They have a great location just in front of Greenbelt. This makes the mall chains here, from Landmark to Glorietta to SM Makati accessible. Great wifi! We didn't expect it to be that fast and it's free. The price we got was a great deal for a suite. The room is big and the bed was comfortable, however, the mattress didn't fit the frame so it's inclined. Bathroom was exceptional though. However, there's no view. The suites do not have outdoor views, just at the back of the building. The place is also run-down and you can see old stains on the carpet, yes even pasta stains. Air-conditioning is top notch and you have plenty of channels to choose from. It's analog though. There's a refrigerator and a spacious cabinet and coat stand. 2 chairs and a table too. Breakfast is okay if it's free. It's expensive if bought separately. Overall, good hotel with great location and very nice and helpful staff. :)

The E-Hotel Makati”

Ok

It's ok about everything. The room is very clean and big. The washroom is very clean and bright. The service is very good. Only one thing, that the hotel is not tall. Haha! Very happy to live in this hotel for my holiday trip to makati Manila.

Simple hotel and good service”

Good location

E-Hotel Makati is strategically located opposite Greenbelt shopping area and is just walking distance from Hard Rock Cafe Makati. Hotel has free wifi for all guests and service offered by hotel was very good. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Food at hotel lobby was simple and delicious. It may be a little noisy due to the fact that the hotel is located just along a busy road.

Best location, value for money.”

Location, clean room and good security

It was pleasant, provided the basic necessity of clean beds, clean bathroom, efficient housekeeping, average wifi, and best location that makes the place worth returning to. Right behind Greenbelt so easy access to dining and shopping. Massage spa nearby and easy to get public transport. The only upsetting part of the trip was on our last night, we were at the 7-11 convenience store across the street and were stopped by local traffic police for smoking on the street. Unknown to us that smoking on the street was not allowed, the policemen tried to extort 6000 pesos from us by threatening to confiscate our passports. After hassling and pretending that it would be more convenient for us to pay him off on the spot, we gave him 1000pesos to get our passports back. This is how corrupted Makati/Manila is. Will never return to this place unless necessary.
