International Caliber Hotel Tucked Away in Pasay”

The Henry Hotel is everything it advertises itself to be. Photos on website and on travel websites such as Agoda are absolutely true to life! Tucked away in an unassuming bit of property in old Pasay near Ninoy Aquino International Airport, The Henry Hotel is a true gem, the real meaning of a boutique hotel. The hotel has the charm of old world colonial Manila with all the amenities and comfort of a high end western hotel. The grounds are private and safe. A lush tropical garden. The facility is immaculately maintained. Guests are treated like royalty from your arrival until departure. We are western visitors and we felt right at home with the comfortable king sized bed, deep luxurious duvet, high thread count sheets. It was sheer heaven to indulge in a hot shower again after our Philippine travels. Hot water showers are a rare treat in Asia! There was absolutely no language barrier since the wait staff is exceptionally fluent in English. I recommend purchasing their breakfast included package. You will come away from the table overwhelmed by the generosity and vast choices on their menu. This hotel is wonderful value for your money. I would give it a personal rating of 5 star and most definitely be returning. Thank you Henry Hotel staff for giving us a comfortable and memorable stay. Mabuhay!

The Henry Hotel Exceeded Our Expectations!”

I read so many terrific reviews of The Henry that my wife and I just had to give it a try on the second half of our Manila stay. I can only say that the hotel and staff exceeded our expectations in every way possible! We arrived early for check in with our adult son, who was staying for just a few days. After a really impressive lunch and a tour of the grounds our rooms were ready. Our son’s room was a spacious ground floor room and ours was on the second floor in the back. Both rooms were beautifully decorated, immaculately clean and well-appointed with spa quality soaps, and towels! The queen size beds were comfortable. Since it was the second half of our time in Manila we were a bit more laid back and wanted a hotel with an ambiance to match our mood. This was the place! Sit at the outdoor tables and a waiter will ask if you want a meal or a marienda, or just a drink of water. No pressure, no rush, just good service. Stroll the lush grounds take a book and sit near the pool or under a shady tree. Or if you want some shopping, there are three galleries with amazing treasures and helpful staff. Looking for that last minute souvenir? Try Honest Henry, a self-service shop in the hotel – yes, pick your item and leave your money in the box! We purchased two wonder necklaces at very reasonable prices. There are two parts to the location, a plus and a minus. The plus is that if you time the traffic just right (Manila traffic is always the issue anywhere in the city) you are 15 minutes from the Mall of Asia, Seaside Blvd. and if you are feeling lucky there are mega casinos nearby! And best of all depending on the time of day you can get to Aquino Airport in half an hour. Those are the neighborhood plusses, but on the down side, the neighborhood is not especially conducive to strolling and exploring. A True Gem in an unlikely location”

Coming from the jeepney infested FB Harrison, entering the Henry Hotel is like traveling to another world, suddenly calm and relaxing. The beautiful greens of the majestic trees and lush gardens almost hide and protect you from what's outside. The old manila architecture of the "villas" are so well done, and hidden beneath are security and convenience tech. Romantic and charming are words that guests will surely use to describe the Henry. The front desk staff are also well trained and dressed to be one with the Henry's inviting vibe. One of things that takes away from the Henry is soundproofing from the rooms, we could easily hear loud bangs, footsteps, and baby cries from the second floor. Another is the location surroundings, which is not advisable for walking around, then again, most of Metro Manila isn't anyway. Overall, it was a beautiful experience and we will be coming back soon.

The most wonderful hotel experience I had in Manila. I am so thankful that The Henry Hotel is here. I never felt that I was in a hotel and in the middle of the busy streets of Manila. I felt like more of being.. home.. Henry Hotel gave us the warmth and homey feeling a guest is always looking for in every hotel they are staying. The hotel staffs are very accommodating, courteous and friendly. Their smiles are real and they all look good! 😉 food is great and tasted awesome! Lolz! We loved it! I am inlove with it! An overnight stay is never enough”

This is by far the nicest hotel I've ever stayed. I was looking for a place that's close to nature and I did not regret choosing The Henry Hotel Manila. We booked a classic room and it's actually quite spacious. However, it could be great to have a table where the guests can eat together in the room. What we had was a study table and a seat so it's not enough for us to enjoy our take-out meal. Also, I find it quite annoying to hear footsteps above because we're on the first floor (not sure.. but it seems that there were kids jumping) which made it hard for me to sleep. The staffs are nice too. They will never forget to greet you when you see them around. Oh, they also care for our feline friends! There were cats roaming around the garden which my hubby enjoyed to bond with as he has a soft spot for cats :) We'll definitely come back.

Perfect”

I proposed to my girlfriend here. It was perfect. The staff were helpful and respectful in every conversation. Driving into the compound makes you feel transported out of manila. Plenty of trees and plants, making it small place of zen. We booked the suite room. It was unique as it was amazing. There werent any dividers between the bed and bathub/shower/toilet area. But having a living room solved that part. Although I was with my girlfriend, it can get akward. We didn't get to try the food. We had dinner outside. But apartment 1b is a top rate resto. We'll definitely have a bite next time. Overall I highly recommend this little treasure place to anyone. Whether you're alone trying to espace some chaos in manila, or a couple looking to for a peaceful close staycation. Thank you henry hotel for an unforgettable stay :)

That Secret Sanctuary in Manila”

My husband and I were born and raised in Manila. Yet every time we are here, we feel like's we're some place else in the 1950's. The rooms are incredibly well-appointed, and each one is designed to offer foreign visitors a peek at Old Manila. The service is impeccable as well. All sheets are fresh and despite its proximity to EDSA (Metro Manila's main artery) and busy Malate (the old Entertainment district), everything is tranquil at the Henry. The compound has a lifestyle store and an art gallery within its premises. Apartment 1B is a great restaurant that's within the main house, but if you're looking for more dining choices this place is also within 2kms of SM Mall of Asia and Intramuros. If you are new to Manila, the staff can direct you anywhere. Most (if not all) of the city's historic sights are also 10-15 minutes away by car. All in all, the Henry is quite the experience..

Best Hotel in Metro Manila, Bar None”

My family and adore the Henry. Over the years we've stayed here multiple times despite the fact that we are Manila dwellers. If you want peace and quiet from the city without ever leaving the city, this is for you. Gorgeous interiors that pay homage to the property's past (just entering the compound will take you straight back to the 50's). Impeccable service. Food is by Apartment 1B, and if you want other dining options this is very near the Manila bay area. An art gallery and lifestyle store can be found within the premises. Pool is on the small side but nestled under great big trees --- I seriously forget I'm in Manila while I'm lounging there. The staff will treat you like family. This hotel is for people who are tired of lackluster/overly commercialized accommodations. The place has character and charm --- and not all hotels have that.

My favorite hotel in Manila + kitties ”

I could live there, it’s just wonderful in every way. Walking through the gates of the Henry is like stepping into another, more sophisticated and genteel era amidst the chaos of Manila. Beautifully restored vintage buildings with gorgeous tile floors and notable design details for lovers of mid century modern design. Lush greenery everywhere. Am I REALLY in Manila?? One of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. Delicious food, impeccable, friendly staff. A true gem of a hotel. Someone tell Wes Anderson to shoot here if he ever does a film in Manila! I won’t stay ANYWHERE ELSE in Manila from now on. Added bonus: the artist’s houses behind the hotel and their resident kitties 😻😻

This place is AMAZING”

I LOVE The Henry Hotel. The contrast from street to hotel is amazing. Once you drive in it's like an oasis away from the busy streets of Manila. I'm not into big hotels, would prefer smaller boutique ones and this one is def one of my favourite. Breakfast was excellent. The grounds are beautiful and green with interesting lamps and lighting in the trees. The room was big, clean, comfortable, private and I love the deco. Easy taxi ride (which staff can asist with) to MOA. And of course the staff are amazing.

Exceptional”

The Henry is exceptional and a lovely landing spot in Metro Manila. Great food, great staff. The one thing that marred our visit was a wedding on the grounds on our last night there. It intruded in 2 ways. First, we as hotel guests had to walk through the courtyard where the wedding party were assembled to get to the hotel facilities. And we sure weren't dressed for it. Second, the wedding was scheduled to end at 8 pm and went on with very schmaltzy music and miked testimonials until past 11. The Henry should reconsider how they handle events like this.

Amazing boutique hotel ”

We fell in love with the Henry Hotel the moment we entered. The design is British colonial style, mixed with state-of-the-art creativity and a beautiful garden/pool area. Like the 25-hours-hotel-chain the Henry Hotel keeps an eye on the details and the staff is helpful, friendly and always obliging. We really loved the hint of hipsterness all around the place - that's why we just booked it again for another stay in Manila. :)

Oasis”

In the rough and tumble of the street life of Manila The Henry is a true oasis. I would say it is the most relaxing and enjoyable hotel that I have stayed in this city. This unique establishment consists of a sympathetically restored compound of a number of mid 1940's houses. Some are used for accomodation, others to house a museum of furniture, an art gallery, and a fashion house. There is of course a main building housing reception and an excellent restaurant with a simple but satisfying menu. The kitchen is obviously manned by an exceptional chef. The rooms have a pleasant smell of camphor from I would imagine some of the period furniture that is used. The beds are extremely comfortable. The bathrooms spacious. The gardens are a joy, peaceful and with a relaxing pool. As I generally find in the Philippines the staff are great and the management I believe have a pleasant sense of humour. I look forward to staying again soon.

The best of the best hotel in Manila ”

If you want good service you need to stay in The Henry hotel, their staffs is very friendly I mean the whole staffs from A to Z they don’t have a big menu but the food is really good!! The place is so peaceful I can’t believe that I’m staying in The Henry hotel I thought that I’m in a beautiful jungle:) specially in Manila is very loud and so much traffic everywhere you go!! As soon as you get back to your hotel you feel so relax

Garden resort in Pasay city center”

Nice boutique hotel in its own enclosed garden property, plantation style structures but nicely updated. Very secure and relaxing, totally different atmosphere from just outside the security gate. It made me feel better about visiting Manila as the surrounding areas are getto- Good & attentive staff. Easy to take taxi & Grab. Great for first time visitors to Manila who are concerned with all the crime stories against tourists, just don’t wonder around late at night dressed up especially in the local bars & club areas. Food & drinks are typical hotel rate. SM Mall of Asia is a must. Waterfront park is good if you can avoid the heat. *Make sure to take metered taxi only from the airport, typical taxi cost is 200 pesos but vendors tried to hit me for 500-1500 pesos. I’ll be back to stay here if I visit Pasay area again.

THE BEST HOTEL IN MANILA”

It’s my first time to stay in Henry Hotel and i must say it’s one of the best! the place is beautiful i feel like i’m not in Manila very cozy and refreshing. I I super love the interior, the pool is nice i like that the place is super green because of plants and trees. The staff was always smiling and very helpful with all we need though we only stay for 1 night but i’ll be back here and i’ll recommend this hotel! PS: i hope you add more like “villa” type of rooms with own pool that would be perfect

Great Hotel close to Airport”

We stayed at The Henry two nights while waiting for connecting flights. The hotel is very clean and very safe. They have their own gate and security guard that makes you feel tucked away in the busy Manila city. The hotel is a 10 minute or less taxi ride to the airport as well as close to the casinos if you would like to go there for a bit. The rooms are very clean and the restaurant food was above average for a hotel. I will for sure be staying here again if I find myself in Manila.

Absolutely stunning”

This hotel is an absolute gem in the middle of Manila. Easy access to the best parts of the city, and relatively close to the airport. The staff is wonderful- very helpful and polite. The suite I booked was gorgeous- one of the top rooms I've ever stayed in. The restaurant serves excellent food, and there's even a small art gallery on site! I wish I could have stayed longer- will definitely make the Henry my hotel of choice when I travel to Manila.

Lovely Hotel”

Had a short stop over in Manila and stayed at The Henry Hotel again. Pity our stop was so short. The short taxi trip to and from the airport is great. Met by friendly staff who remembered us from our last visit. Just enough time to unwind and refresh before our onward journey. Missed that extra time we would have liked to have spent by the pool or in the gardens.

Ive stayed in many of the big hotels in Manila over the years. The Henry Hotel is the best place by far !! This Hotel deserves its Excellent reputation !! The Staff are really well trained and so helpfull and friendly . One word of advice is have the google map on your phone for the location . I was so lucky and thankfull to be upgraded to the owners suite which was amazing !@
