Cosy little guesthouse ”
karen at the jiong house was friendly and non-fussy! loved the place with its small but comfy room. despite being fan only, the rooms were not hot at all as it's well-ventilated with cool air from another airconditioned room. the malacca river is right outside the back door and parking is not a problem at night. jonker is a very short walk away and there's plenty to eat, see and do there on weekends.

I spent one night in The Jiong Guesthouse and had a great stay. The guesthouse is directly connected to the river, which makes it cozy & pleasant. Also the owner is kind and welcoming. No contras to add.

the jiong guest house's location is really the best you can have! you can walk right out to the melaka river and famous tourist attraction jongkle street and a famosa melaka itself, where you would be spending most of your time at anyway. this is a budget guest house, so don't expect anything at all about the room. room cleanliness need some improvement. it was worth the very little money rm 35 that i paid on 31 dec 2012 & 1 jan 2013! thanks to agoda!

The guest house environment was still acceptable, the staff there was friendly. Location is very near to the attractive spots like jonker walk, A famosa, meseums and so on. Overall I satisfied but the only weakness is the number of bathroom. There is only 2 bathroom can be used by all guests.

Good location, budget”
It was a nice trip to Melaka. I did enjoy staying at Jiong guesthouse. It's a very good location for tourist to discorver the surroundings of this historic town, just some steps to enter China town night market. And a few minutes walk to many other tourits attractions. The speacial thing for me is that there is a river walk side along the river behind the Jiong guesthouse. The only thing I would complain is there was a big family staying at the same time making so much noise (two or three children), even it was mid-night. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Overall is average to good. I stayed on the 2nd floor river view room with a/c. I like the view. Bathroom is at G & 1st floor. This is an old house so facilities are basic and old but clean. Staircase is quite steep for older people. My bicycle is allowed to park inside the house's common area which is peace of mind.

i arrived here in the evening and been told that hotel was full. i was very angry as i have reserved the room few months ago, most important, i've fully paid! then they transferred me to another motel which then claimed they have prepared for me, at motel sayang sayang. so i stayed in motel for my 2 nights. motel was very nice, clean and quiet. one thing need to improve is, agoda should pass our contact to hotel so hotel can inform us earlier if there is any changes regarding the reservation. overall, i enjoyed the days in melaka! the motel is highly recommanded!

I'm staying in a fan room without air conditioner but at night the weather is good to fall asleep. Staff is friendly. The place is at the city centre and tourist site can be reached by walking. Very satisfy with the price and what they offer here. Thanks for your service =)

Very nice place to introduce friends and families to come here to stay. I had my river view room, very satisfied of that. It's a very great view. And i like the handmade stuffs here, which I heard from the owner that they try to organize this kind of fair there and they sell many handmade stuff which I find very valuable. Place is logistic, just that a bit further from the Jonker street. However, the environment is peaceful and relax~ Thanks!

i stayed in this guesthouse for 2 nights. i like the decoration of this guesthouse because it's antique. jonker street is just2-3 minutes walk from this guesthouse. u can also see malacca river from the window of the guesthouse.

Just Location Nice”
This is fourth time i stay with sayang sayang hotel. And this is second time for me stay in Jiong house. 1st time i stay it was so nice, clean, nice location, friendly staff, thats why i recommend to my friend. And this time, when we arrived there around 2pm, there is no staff, we call the number, 10++ times no people answer phone! when the staff come, he say dont know have booking! Go inside, the living room is hot and not clean. After check in, we go to our room in floor 3 with riverview, mosquito many. Room become old and not clean, add on mattress dont have coverlet! Aircond very hot! Toilet also dirty and its so messy around whole guest house. Its dissapointed me so much, and I wont stay here again!

We stayed for 2 nights, the hotel was located in chinatown backing onto the river. It was a clean and nicely decorated outhouse. The manager was very helpful and friendly. The room we stayed in was very small and had no window. But it was ok just for sleeping. The bathrooms are shared.

Lovely view of the river cruise boats passing by from the room window. Low priced that come with dressing and side table. No problem with the shared bathroom. Nostalgia feel. A few mozzie but still ok.

Friendly staff, riverside, good for short stay”
It is two streets away from Jonker street, with their own map to guide you the shortcut to Jonker street; quiet during weekend since most old shops are rest on weekend, that was good to enjoy quiet moment; old shops in melacca so they retained the original look of the shop; small room but doesnt matter since you wont stay there long, in fact I stayed one night and slept well; good walking along the riverside and they even paint the wall and it is good! Nice chatting with guesthouse staff and sharing about the traveling experience; overall, it is good for me!
