A little heaven!”
A idyllic place at the beach with nice people, good party's and a beautiful view. It feels like a little island on its own while u are in a few seconds in the center. Beside that, the staff is kind and enthousiastic. Also the people in the hostel are very kind. U can be as social as u want. I especially love the hammocks who are everywhere. I definitely will come back.

The hostel is nice, bed bunks have mosquito nets, rooms have fans, bathrooms are kept clean, prices are what is expected on the island, (a bit more expensive but not too much), music in the bar until 12 in the night (never later) although the bar from the hostel "nextdoor" might open until 1am so you still hear music if you want to sleep, anyways hardly anyone went to sleep so early. Nice people, hammocks and chill zones by the beach or literally on the sea... Very small village, everything within easy reach in the bay.

Perfect spot on the beach. Basic dorms, but they even have a workout area in the sand and amazing beach setup! I extended twice!

Backpacker Island Style Accommodation ”
The perks of this place is that you have the beach with hammocks and lounge areas basically right outside your door. The room itself is quite basic, but comfortable enough for a backpacker style island getaway. They had themed nights each night for parties. They started early and ended early to keep the noise down which I appreciated. Staff was friendly, and food was always good and similar prices to the rest of the island.

Best staff ever and a great vibe overall in the hostel, perfect for making new friends. Location is awesome, directly at the beach. Lots of places to hang out during the day, nice bar for the evening. Cheap and good food as well.

The bar is smack in the middle of hostel and provides a great atmosphere for people to hang out. They serve really delicious food at a good price. Every night there is a party at the bar but guests can also remove themselves and hang around one of the many chairs and lounge areas by the water. Sane and Bunum are fantastic hosts and will help you book your next trip. Overall a great vibe. One of the best hostels I stayed in Cambodia. Only con is the shower area - there were only a couple and they didnt smell great but the other features offset this so I'd definitely stay here again.

First of all M’ pai bay is gorgeous and peaceful and small so you can’t go wrong being on this particular part of Samloem. Of all of the hostels and guest houses on this area yellow moon definitely has the best chill out situation with tons of hammocks and swings over the water and lounging areas with cushions everywhere. At night it tries to be a party hostel with themed bar nights and free ‘shots’ (sugar water in a shot glass, but that’s SEA islands for you). Maybe it was just the other travelers that were there at the same time not being my speed. Maybe it was the volunteers not really introducing people to each other. Or maybe it was the playlist of 100 terrible pop songs that was played every single night without fail (except Sunday which was a ‘chill’ night.) I just wasn’t into partying there. But the bay is small and all the other guest houses along the shore have character and other people I was more interested in talking to. Overall I had a nice experience.

I stayed in yellow sun for one week and I really enjoyed my time! Amazing chill area at the beach, nice people and the rooms are basic but clean.

Exceptional”
Had a fantastic time staying here. It’s a party hostel so it’s easy to meet people but the bar closes at midnight, and there are other spots in town to chill if you aren’t up for the noise. The boat trip was a blast, staff is fun. Not the cleanest but it would be impossible to really keep the sand out of everything. Well worth the money, I’d stay again. Lots of other nice cafes to explore in M’Pay Bay too.

Amazing hostel”
Amazing hostel right on the beach and 1 hour trek from clear water bay. The accommodation is basic but as expected on a small island but very social and relaxing. The staff are really friendly and helpful., especially Jess! Would definitely recommend this hostel and the snorkelling trip they offer- can't wait to go back!
