A Rustic Hotel with good service”
I have booked a 3 Bedroom suite, one twin room and two deluxe rooms. The 2 bedroom (501) is connected to the twin room (502), making it so convenient for my big family. The two deluxe rooms are also connected but be sure to request it. All the deluxe rooms are on the ground floor though. This is my 3rd time staying there as I love the proximity between the premises and the beach. There is also a variety of restaurants either on the hotel premises or within a 10 to 15 mins radius (by car). The services are good. One of the receptionists even offered a wheelchair for my dad, who was having some difficulty walking. Another one pushed the wheelchair all the way up the 2 bedroom suite. The distance from the lift to the 2-bedroom suite (501) was quite far. The breakfast is average, but it is value for money. However, the food at Nelayan Seafood and Pawana restaurants is really good. The hotel exterior is dated, but the interior is well-furnished and updated. All the 4 rooms booked have a great view of the oceans. I would definitely make a return to this rustic hotel.

Enjoyed my stay”
I stayed for one night 15 - 16/4/2022. I made my booking via Agoda. Overall, I enjoyed my stay there. 1) check-in: do check-in after 3 pm as they don’t allow early check-in 2) room: got a twin bed room, located on the 3rd floor (highest) which allows you to get the best pool and seaview. All the rooms have a balcony where you can enjoy sunrise and sunset view of the sea. The room is spacious, comfortable, and the basic amenities were provided including free WiFi. However, there were no face towels provided and of course, some wear and tear are to be expected as the hotel is aged. 3) nice swimming pool and gym. 4) beach is clean and view is nice 5) breakfast buffet was not much of a variety, but it was adequate and taste ok for me 6) nice seafood restaurant - Nelayan just located beside the hotel 7) A beach side bar where u can enjoy drinks and light food

Good value for money”
Our stay was pleasant, business for my husband, pleasure for me and the kids. The hotel isn’t too big, so it was easy for me to handle 5 young kids alone from the room to the pool. Pool was clean and nice, the kids had a good time. Beach is very near. Breakfast was okay, suits the price. The hotel is not new, but well kept. All in all, we would probably visit again.

Best place and economical resort for rest and relax , walking distance to beach from room, i used to request ground floor room as there is back door in room can go to swimming poom and beach! And a small playground set in lobby for toddler to play. Nice and clean room, buffet breakfast with various selection with acceptable taste.

Serene and clean beach”
Overall the hotel was good, no complaints on the amenities or facilities. Breakfast spread was okay considering the remote location. Management could spruce the place if they wanted to, act as pulling power or attraction for more guests. Friendly staff and top notch service, beach was clean and serene but beware of the high and rough waves though.

Exceptional”
I stayed here with my husband & our kids aged 2,4&6 y/o. Actually it's a birthday treat for my husband. This hotel didn't offer service for birthday arrangements. They gave me a phone number & I personally made a deal to decorate the room. It went smooth. Upon checking there wasn't any chaos or whatsoever. I managed to make a surprise for my husband. The kids were happy. Love the view from our room. The beach is clean. Just that the lift has unpleasant smell. We didn't like the bihun goreng, the taste was weird. Overall it was a very pleasant stay for us. Will definitely come again next time.

Quick Weekend Get-away”
This is an amazing place! If you want a cozy spot where you can chill and enjoy at the same time, this place is for you! Perfect for couples, families and friends. Tunamaya Hotel is a private resort with its own beach and pool. All the rooms are facing the sea view and definitely has the finest view of sunset. Kudos to Arnel, Leo and "Jericho" who made our stay very unforgettable. We had a great time in the beach bar! Thanks to this 3! Not too mention they have the best place seafood place called Nemalayan Restaurant. Gladys is amazing! Cheers to Atika in the front office for giving us a warm welcome. We will definitely be back and make sure stay longer! This is a must-to-be place!!!💜💜💜

I have book 4 standard room but the hotel have give me free upgrade 2 of the booked room to family room. Very friendly front desk. Check in and check out process very smooth. Love the beach view and room was great”
The beach view was awesome. The kids pool big but if they put slide for kids will be great. The beach clean. Children play area small. The water pressure was great. Important if u stay near the beach to get rid of the sand. The breakfast was so so nothing special but i loved the lontong johor only. But please make sure the breakfast enough for all your guests. Overalls we love the hotel n the beach. There's a lot of restaurants near by the hotel too. Tq

Perfectly for family”
Location is absolute great, beach is just clean and my kids love it alot. No trash, the pool is just nice my 6th years old and 6 mth old baby like it. Every guest were in good manner and staff as well. Staff are friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back!!

Spacious Room”
I arrived in the mid night, lobby are quite dark, they're on electricy-cost-saving i guess. But it's not a big deal, the room was clean and spacious with balcony, overlooking the sea. No deposit upon check-in required. I stayed in room no. 306-wash basin a bit clogged, with permanent stains on it. Toilet door's lockset was not functioning. Just a walking distance to the beach, breakfast was average with quite a number of selections. Location was good perfect for a quiet and relaxing stay.

Was looking for a short trip for the kid, and this place is clean with pools and also near to the sea! And the view is pretty. Just my first experience that I need to pay extra RM30 for the stain on the bed. Didn't really notice it, might be the kid accidentally drop something on the bed. But overall is superb.

Enjoying my holiday”
Pros: 1. Nearby parking area, 50 metres to lobby. 2. Smooth check in. (+- 5 minutes). 3. All rooms have seaview and poolview from balcony, just a matter of which level and which side you get (right/middle/left). Lower level view might have partially obstructed view due to coconut trees. 4. Clean and tidy room. 5. Nearby beach (+- 150 metres). 6. Good water pressure for toilet and shower. No problem with hot water. 7. A variety of breakfast, delicious and tasty. Issues: 1. Aircond is old, functional but takes longer time to cool. 2. Room toilet sink were clogged, the management called to fix the problem. Areas to improve: 1. Can provide carpark with roof.

Good Resort-Nice Beach front & Sea View”
Overall satisfaction except room sound proofing and lack of TV channels. We can't sleep because the guests next door were a bit noisy.. Hopefully the management will remind the guests to lower down their voices after 12am. Amazing scenery, beautiful beach and sand. Swimming pool is well maintained and clean. The staff is quite helpful. Breakfast is not so fantastic. Strongly recommended to enjoy your dinner at Nelayan Seafood Restaurant here. The seafood is very nice and fresh especially BBQ stingray.

Short weekend gateway”
It was a great experience overall, with a big swimming pool for everyone hence it wasnt crowded and also the beach access is amazing, its just right infront! downside might just be the lack of space to accomodate breakfast crowd, it was quite hard to get a space so its better to go down for breakfast before 8.15am. Find the space to be very family friendly especially if you have smaller kids :)
