Stay Away From This Guest House”
The guest house was currently under renovation and not ready to receive any visitors. However, the necessary information was not updated on Agoda booking and we still can make booking to stay at this guesthouse. When we arrived at the guest house, the staff there told us that the room was not ready for us and asked us to shift to another guest house named Balcony Guest House which is under the same owner. The Balcony Guest House was not located at the town centre and is on the northern end of town. Unwillingly we were forced to accept the arrangement because we have paid with the booking through agoda and don't want any complication on the payment issue. We were fetched by Tuk Tuk arranged by the staff to Balcony Guest House. When we reached there, the staff there asked us to stay at the fan room without attached toilet although the booking we made included air-conditioning and attached bathroom. We were upset and disappointed by the arrangement.

Staying here for a day or two it’s alright, just to break up the bus/minivan ride. Very basic room. Walk way to the guesthouse can be a lil creepy/scary but if u have a few friends it’s alright. Near everything (market, bus stop, restaurant) there’s lot of tuk tuk down by the riverside.

A Great Budget Option”
Clean, simple, and all you need. Friendly staff, though some confusion arose from the online booking (they weren't sure if we had paid- we had). Good location, though be aware that they lock the main entrance door early. We were out until 11PM one night and got locked out! Eventually, they did come down though :). Would stay again, just talk to them if you are out late.

Dirty toilet and staff complaining about payed online”
The toilet was disgusting, and when we arrived the staff complained during a full day about we paid online and they dont accept that; but agoda didnt let us pay in cash, so we had to do it online. They should check with the hostel. Location good, close to the central market

What you pay for”
Not so clean, not so comfortable, not so quiet but you get what you pay for (double fan room for 5us$) ! Overall it's very basic but it's ok for 1 or 2 nights in Kratie.
