This is my go-to hotel in Manila. It offers a very affordable and comfortable room and great service. But I really appreciate that I can check in at any time of day and have 24-hours for each day that I have reserved. Whether my plane lands at 10 PM or 4 AM, I will not have to check out at 11 AM or Noon. In addition, it provides a quiet and private room where my companion and I can reunite after long separations. We have been satisfied customers of the Hotel Ava Cuneta for over five years and will continue to stay here during my future visits.

My fiancée selected this hotel for us having previously tried a few hotels in Manila herself. She was right! I cannot speak for a business traveler just yet but for leisure and a first time together as a couple, this hotel was very nice. Other mid-grade Manila hotels have issues with hot water, bugs, room service, maid service, etc. but Ava Cuneta was PERFECT!!!! I was surprised by the quality of service, the linens, the decor and especially with the food. I recommend Filipino food options over western options in most local hotels but at Ava Cuneta, you MUST try the breakfast sausage links; they are TRUE Bavarian bratwurst! I was shocked at the quality, not expecting them to be very good at all. The tapsilog might look odd to a westerner (especially to a finicky American from southern USA) who has never traveled in Asia but is EXCELLENT! I highly recommend it as a breakfast option. The beef is wonderful and the rice very filling giving you energy and protein for a busy day in the tropics. The staff is abundantly helpful directing you to the best transportation options for your traveling style, duration and destinations.

“Clean and Comfortable Stay”
We had a comfortable overnight stay with family. The room was very clean, spacious, and cold—which we liked. My daughters really enjoyed the jacuzzi, and having two TVs with Netflix and strong Wi-Fi made it even better for everyone. The staff was accommodating, and we appreciated that breakfast could be served in the room, although delivery was a bit delayed. The food was okay, but the menu prices were quite high—more like fine dining rates—so we opted to have lunch and dinner outside. One thing we didn’t realize when booking through Agoda was that the property used to be a motel. This wasn’t clearly stated in the listing, and while the interiors are modern and well-kept, we felt a bit conscious coming in and out, especially with kids. Because of this, we didn’t even take photos during our stay—even though we actually liked the room—due to the impression left by its past (formerly Victoria Court). Overall, it was still a pleasant experience. We recommend it for short, relaxing stays, but it would help if the listing provided more context so guests know what to expect.
