West End Soho hotels & places to stay

I have stayed at the z hotel Soho many times, and was looking forward to my stay at the newest location Z Piccadilly. The hotel was very nicely done- clean contemporary and spacious, I liked the open layout of the reception/dining area compared with the soho hotel which is very cramped. As always the staff were so friendly and helpful and charming. Rooms were perfect- more spacious than the soho hotel with a better configuration. Beds were comfy, linen was of high quality, air con was super efficient, tv selection was very impressive. Shower was great. Piccadilly is such a fab location, we walked everywhere from shopping to restaurants to theaters. As always a fantastic value stay with the z hotel. We will be back soon

Despite ending up in a tiny windowless room in the basement, this place had great service and an awesome location. London hotels are expensive, but it wasn't until confirmation that we discovered we booked a windowless room. We only used this room to sleep....because there wasn't any room for anything else! The hotel has a wine and cheese happy hour every day and that was truly a treat. One of the staff members Hoho was the best. She was very friendly and extremely helpful. Hoho made our stay at the Z Hotel Covent Garden enough reason to stay here again, but preferably in a room above ground with a window, lol.

100 yards from Leicester Square, equidistant to Covent Garden and soho which are about a 5-10 minute walk. Exceptionally clean (two fabrics chairs could be replaced though as stained). No lift but a beautifully full old grand building and stairs not an issue. Apartment had everything you needed. Check in is at 4 but may be a nice touch if you received a text or email when apartment is ready in case you are able to check in a little early. No staff on site but email/online booking was slick.

The Citadines Trafalgar Suare is perfectly located. Close to 2 underground stations, galleries, West End theatres, shops, cafes, restaurants & several supermarkets. We stayed in a studio apartment. Whilst not spacious it was perfectly adequate. Small kitchenette was a great advantage. Complimentary tea & coffee available in the foyer. Helpful staff. Have already booked a return visit.

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice this place was. The room was clean and tidy, staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was tasty and plentiful, our only gripe with the dining facilities was the tables being too close together... even the staff had to squeeze past tables. There was plenty of space in the dining areas but the tables were not positioned with any care, something easily remedied. Overall, we had a great time in the Strand Palace and would recommend it if you go to West End shows.

I stayed at the Z Hotel Tottenham Court Road with my 18 years old daughter for 6 nights. I knew in advance that the rooms are small, so that was no surprise. I found our room highly functional and well designed, with great shower and comfy bed. I believe that we received so much more than the "lost" space. The room was spotless and carefully cleaned every day, the staff members were so nice, helpful and welcoming and the location was superb. After 2 mornings or eating expensive breakfasts outside we had the rest of our breakfasts at the hotel and it was an excellent decision - the variety, the quality and the price were great. Another highlight of this hotel is indeed the afternoon wines and cheeses buffet. It was a real treat in the afternoon - not just because the quality of everything is great but also because it gives a chance to meet other hotel guests, and that for us, was very special. If this hotel is available at your travel dates - don't hesitate! you won't regret it.

Bow Street flat was a great place to stay. Although booked and organised completely on line, communication with the company was excellent. Directions to pick up key from a remote drop off seemed daunting but was incredibly straight forward. Stairwell carpet was grubby however, on day 2, a carpet cleaning company appeared (nothing to do with us but indicative of housekeeping staff having high standards....!) and it now looks as good as new. Picadilly Line goes from Heathrow Terminals to Covent Garden, then approximately a 150m walk to the fact. Excellent! Will certainly stay here again and highly recommend the flat and the company were great to dealt with. Thanks.

BEST location to be in London, (Pramis kabayan!) we even didnt maximize our oyster travell card since almost all locations are within 5-20 min walk from the place. It has complete facilities too, we cooked our meals, even did our laundry, we stayed for 5 nights and the only complain i have is that the ELEVATOR is sometime not working from Ground floor to Second floor. But over all WE WILL STAY AGAIN! :) It's in the heart of West end SOHO so expect to be loud sometimes. Another down side is the £200 deposit which is too hefty!

It's a stones throw from Trafalgar Square and all the theatres of the west end. The location really is superb. The look and the feel of the hotel and the room is superb, I really liked it. i would have expected the hotel to cost more. However there were two negative points with the service. The cleaners just walked in the room while I was in the shower (they're weren't supposed to be cleaning because we were checking out that day) and I tried to call down to reception in the evening and no one answered. Other than those two small points, I was extremely happy and would certainly stay again.

The Waldorf is now a Hilton and so if your expecting to be whisked back to the hey days of London society, tea dances, and palm court orchestras, you will have to get your timing impeccably right. They still do the odd tea dance but its rarer and the beautiful palm court is usually bare and empty (where I the palms?). However, the hotel is run pretty efficiently by the Hilton Group whose staff our helpful. there is a gym on site although its the rather grubby LA Fitness (pool area really needs some TLC) and the towel they provided was threadbare. However, the breakfasts are excellent with an extensive choice and the location for the city and the West End could not be better. I even nipped out to see a show which was not on the agenda originally but, given the hotel is sandwiched between two of the top theatres, was a doddle.

This was my 6th stay at Charing Cross and as usual, is a good, solid and reliable stay in London. Rooms can be a bit on the small side, but its a great location for business, families and tourists. Being directly next to Charing Cross Station and Tube, a pleasant and easy walk over the bridge away from Waterloo, and 3 minutes walk from the West End, its ideal for that London visit. Not cheap, but nothing any good in London ever is.

We booked an overnight stay at the Sanctum Soho to spend two days in London over a long weekend. After arriving hours before check-in to drop off our things, we were offered an upgrade and the opportunity to go to our room right away. Staff were friendly and efficient during check-in and in each subsequent interaction. For a hotel in such a fantastic location (we saw a few shows in the West End and did plenty of shopping), it's on a relatively quiet street. The room was equipped with a small bar, cozy bed, and nice, full-sized bathroom. The airplane bath fixtures were a cool touch, as were the pebble stone walls, and recessed lighting -all design features that weren't too demanding and therefore relaxing. Free wifi, safe, adequate closet: check, check, check. All imperative, yet not taken for granted. We really enjoyed our stay.

We were in the middle of Soho and everything. In just a few minutes you could walk just about anywhere. You could hear the occasional loud street traffic from the flat on the third floor but aside from that no problems. We had some issues with the kitchen (oven and dishwasher were not working) We had problems with the circuitry in the light in the main room. The Wi-Fi we were provided with was from a modem in another room, because the modem in our room wasn’t working. THEN - if you try to call staff, if you try to email staff, if you asked for help in general; you would not get anything from them. We called twice and got the promise of maintenance to come and fix things, but had no confirmation or maintenance show up. It’s such a shame because if it weren’t for that, the place would have been absolutely amazing. I recommend the place, but I do not think you get value for money if the managers are unwilling to help you with your problems.

The whole experience was brilliant. It was our 33rd wedding anniversary and Barbara at the front desk (who gave us the best welcome we have ever had at a reception desk, by the way!!) surprised us by having a complimentary bottle of bubbly delivered to our room when we returned from our first evening out. So very thoughtful! The hotel's location for access to all the main London attractions (accessible on foot!!) was superb.

The Courthouse Hotel is conveniently located in Soho, and just a few minute walk to West End. Staff was pleasant (and helped me print a document I needed). There is a reputed nice rooptop bar - but at our checkin, we were told we would have needed reservations in advance for the bar. Rooms were cozy but with charm. Our only unsurmountable problem was with the air conditioner. The room would not cool below 74 degrees (23.5 celcius) in June (it was much cooler in the lobby as well as outside in the early morning, but windows wouldn't open). For most, this is probably acceptable, but my family likes to sleep cooler. Phoned for maintenance twice - and they could not do anything - I believe it's their standard. Unfortunately, for this reason alone, we would not stay at this hotel again.

Had a wonderful 6 nights stay here. Ana, the counter staff is extremely helpful and friendly to our requests. So are the guys but I forgot their names. This is the best hotel I've ever stayed. I was given a room with a perfect view of Leicester square. The beds are comfy, the room is warm, friendly and clean. It wasn't noisy as claimed in the reviews and I am a light sleeper. I happened to be there during 2019 Pride London. My only complaint was one of the lifts are not working but overall it's a short waiting time. The location is super-excellent. I highly recommend this hotel all-time.
