Westminster hotels & places to stay

We booked a room at Belgravia but was transferred to a hotel just 2 doors away - same Management - Belgravia Park Avenue. We love this place. Everything about this hotel is beautiful. The staff who attended to us were extremely friendly, helpful and most of all polite. The location is excellent. Will definitely stay there again and fully recommend this hotel to anyone who is going London and looking for a Value for Money Hotel!

This place was centrally located in the Westminster area, walking distance to all the great touristy places in London as well as the bus and metro stations. The breakfast was sufficient, which included OJ, apples, bananas, cereal and toast or croissant with jelly. The rooms were small, but cozy, batroom was clean, only downfall to this place is the bed wasn't great and what you expect for a 100 US dollars a night, then again it is westminter London.

This my second stay at the hotel. I like it here because its clean, fresh linen, everything you need basically is all around you and most of all affordable. For the price with the location is perfect. Easy to get around London city and to nearby other places by train I mean if you are a traveller. Thanks to the good staff I arrived earlier than check in time and need to catch another train to travel down south in an hour but he arranged me a room as soon as possible and i waited like only 5minutes. Best value for money.

This hotel has very excellent and helpful staffs. We arrived at 7am and the staff at the reception counter allowed us to stay at the hotel's pantry. You would love the pantry, it is beautifully decorated and always clean. The room is rather small but it is clean and the bed is very comfortable. Location is also very good, 5 minutes walk to Victoria Coach Station and subway station. Would love to come back to this hotel. Highly recommended.

I was travelling with my mum. The hotel location, which is close to Victoria coach station was great and just 5 minutes away from shops and restaurants. Our original 2 x single twin room was on the 4th floor but we got upgraded to a larger 2 x double room on the lower ground floor (LG4) as there is no lift and my mum has some mobility issues. Lovely room, really comfortable. Bathroom was small but functional and shower was really good once we worked out you have to let it run for a bit to hear up. Drainage of sink and shower took a little while to clear. Continental breakfast was good and free, and a bonus in London. Reception staff and others were really friendly and helpful. I would stay in that room again.

The hotel is a standard B&B in the Victoria area of London, about 10 mins from Victoria Station (tube and mainline) by foot and about the same to Victoria Coach Station. It's very easy to find if you walk along St George's Drive and cross Warwick Avenue and it's immediately there on your left. There are lots of B&Bs in this area and I stayed in a few before when I was younger, often with poor cleanliness, staff with bad attitude and dubious breakfasts, so I was quite worried about this hotel before I checked in, but instead was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is currently undergoing renovation, so rooms on the main floors are being rebuilt, so I was given a room on the 5th floor (4th floor for some reason in the UK) which is accessible via a very narrow windy staircase, so not really good if you have large / heavy luggage. However, it was fine for me and because it was the top floor, it had already been renovated it had new decorations and a lovely bathroom with a very modern two-head shower which I've never seen in a budget hotel before. Water was hot throughout the day and I worked from the hotel room for some hours each day and was not interrupted or annoyed by any of the noise from the renovation. The bed was very comfy and the internet was actually very fast (but don't forget to ask for the wifi password when you check in at reception, as there is no mention of it in the room). I didn't have breakfast although I was tempted, as one morning I was up early and saw them bringing in fresh croissants and supplies. All in all I had a very pleasant stay, with pleasant and helpful staff and look forward to booking again in a week or so to stay there on my way back to Japan.

Best Western Buckingham Palace Road is located at the heart of London- Westminster. It is about 20 steps away from the Victoria Bus Station. From this place, you could reach the different cities in the UK. The place is very clean and they serve good breakfast. But most of all, the staff are very hospitable, friendly and helpful. For this, I give the hotel a five star marking.

Agoda advertised it had free WiFi. This is false. WiFi is £5 a day. What they have is a computer in the hallway you can use to access the internet. That’s not WiFi and useless for a modern traveller who needs to use their own device. Remember this twin bedded room cost me £120 per night- they can afford to give their customers what they advertise. By penny pinching I refer to breakfast. This was only available from 8am till 9am. Why they couldn’t open it earlier or later I can’t imagine, it was only toast yoghurt cereals and coffee powder and teabags to make your own drink- nothing requiring much work. On to the good points, although the room was very small, everything I needed was ingeniously fitted in, and it was pleasant. The staff I found to be quite helpful too. The location was excellent for Westminster Buckingham Palace, the very useful No 24 bus route almost opposite, Pimlico station very near and Victoria coach bus and Underground station within 10 minutes walk.

I stayed at Dover B&B for 8 nights and was very happy with the hotel. Our room is on 1st floor and it was very convenient, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very good. Hotel staff were friendly (except for one guy in the night shift who was not really helpful) The hotel is closed to Victoria Train Station and Victoria Coach station which is a good base for exploring London and the surrounding area.Walking distance to Buckingham Place, Westminster Abbey and Big Ben. I also got a very good deal from Agoda. Will stay there again if I come back to London.

The guy at the reception seemed unfriendly, rather tiring? When I asked him to carry my laggage to my room on 3rd foor because there was no lift, he expressed his unwillingness to do so but he did it for me anyway. Even though I offered him tip, he did not accept it(!!), which rather made me surprised. The Internet was £1 for 1 hour and £5 for a day. I ordered a day internet connection, but my poor personal computer could not catch the signal of wifi in my room. When I told him, the guy at the reception did not charge me £5 and advised me to use it at the dining room for free(!!!). He was actually really really nice! The location of the hotel was superb. It was 10 minutes walk from Victoria station and 5 minutes or less to Victoria coach station. There was a sainsburys, which was open until 11 p.m., 5 minute walk away from the hotel. Although my booking plan was a single room of shared shower and toilet room, I could wash my face in the room because it had a wash basin. It was a comfortable room having a desk, a bed, tea making facilities with prenty of tea bags, dried coffee, milk and suger. The bed was unexpectedly comfortable for me, not too soft but not too hard. I brought a small towel just in case, but they provided me a big towel and a soap. The breakfast was not great but good enough. 4 slices of toast, several kinds of cereal, milk, jams, batter... and tea or coffee. I saw one of guests asked a staff to make a pot of tea and she did it for the guest. Probably depending on the staff, but I think staffs at this hotel are rather kind and flexible.

This hotel is quite nice, but I really loved the location. Bus 24 (which runs 24 hours) picks up and drops off just outside of the hotel, and goes directly to the theatre district, to Parliament, to Westminster, Trafalgar Square, and to the British museum. This is a much better way to travel in London than the underground (but if you prefer the underground, there are a couple of stations nearby). The hotel is clean and neat, and they serve a terrific full English Breakfast). Just be aware that you'll probably need to walk up and down quite a few stairs (not a big deal for us, but if it is a problem for you, be sure to ask for a room on a lower floor). Staff is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Really enjoyed our stay!

Location: since located between Belgravia, Pimlico, and Westminster, major sightseeing like Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, or Brompton Rd. are just within walking distance. Nice and quiet neighborhood, even next to Victoria Station. Pubs, restaurants, even street cafes are available all around. Staff: check in, cleaning or breakfast very nice, very friendly. Room: a little bit dated, functional, but clean. Bath: clean. Breakfast: served at the table, English breakfast (egg, sausages, baked beans) with jam, butter and toast together with tea or coffee and a glass of orange juice. Internet was free of charge. All-in-all: 5 points for reasonable rate.

Cancelled my overnight stay at the plaza Westminster after I saw my room (£317) per night. Booked this for (£107) including breakfast for 3 . Short taxi ride and I was delighted. Much cleaner, quieter, in a lovely district surrounded by traditional townhouses. . The Staff were so helpful and friendly , the restaurants within walking distance were incredible. And it is a short walk or taxi to Westminster. Very happy I changed hotels.

Excellent in every aspect. This budget B&B exceeded all our expectations. Particularly noteworthy was the full English Breakfast, great location (10 min walk from Victoria Station; 30 min walk from Westminster Abbey), and great staff (they watch our luggage for a whole day after checkout). Of course the room was modest, but clean. And there were no lifts. But for the price, we can live with that.

My son (8 years old) and I just loved London. I planned to stay one day in transit just to see the place, maybe 2 for jetlag. We stayed 5 or 6 and only left so as to still be able to see the other places on our itinerary. We will be back! I could go on and on about this place we stayed. It was both a fantastic value and oh so comfortable. It was like having your own personal flat in London with a maid to do your cleaning. The views out the rooms are either to a lovely courtyard and very old church with old trees around, or to an old brick apartment building with a ton of chimneys that reminded me of the chimney dance scene in Mary Poppins. Both delightful. The room was perfectly clean and oh so comfy and homey. And the ceilings are high with nice mouldings surrounding them providing a hint of elegance. The neighborhood is in the most perfect location close to the tube with just a couple stops before you're at the main sightseeing attractions. A few blocks (pretty white house/apartment lined blocks) away from a quaint neighborhood of small eateries, shops and grocery stores. A delightful neighborhood- much more genuine than pickering place and not so snobby as another neighborhood we saw. But still very clean and safe. The housekeeping staff was very warm and friendly and the office/booking staff went out of there way to help us more than once. There may be other lovely places to stay in London, but this has got to be amongst the best values for comfort and location.

Although a bit pricey for my budget, the Blades was a great little hotel. The location is excellent with an underground station very close and many sights (Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Parliament) within walking distance. The area has many shops, pubs and restaurants and I felt safe walking around even at night. There is even a small park nearby if you just want to sit in the sun. The hotel has some architectural character and the room was clean and comfortable. The en-suite was tiny, but functioned well with good water pressure and temperature. Breakfast was minimal (toast, cereal, ham, cheese, yogurt, tea/coffee) but enough to start the day. The 'restaurant' is only open for breakfast. The staff were helpful and friendly. Wi-fi is available but I found it to be sporadic and often a weak signal. Overall, I would probably stay there again.

Location was excellent. 2-3 minute walking dist. to Victoria coach & train stations; 2-3 minute walking distance to various restaurants, try Rosa's Cafe and DimT Restaurant; Sainsbury's and Tesco Express are also nearby; 10-minute walking distance to Westminster Cathedral; 20-minute walking distance to Buckingham Palace. 2. Staff was helpful. We asked for extra pillows and toiletries and they readily obliged. They were also helpful in giving information about nearby restaurants/shops. 3. Room. We were a family of 3 adults with 3 large suitcases and 3 small ones and we had enough space to move around. Our room was along the road and I initially had a hard time with the traffic noise but I just got used to it as the days progressed. 4. Facilities. The room is a bit dated. The TV did not have enough channels. The flush in our toilet initially did not work but they eventually had it fixed. 5. Continental breakfast was more than enough to get us through the morning.
