We were so charmed by this place; barrel tiles, verandas, sweet little hidden courtyards, bougainvillea... and right across from San Agustin. It's an easy walk to a lot of great historical buildings and churches, and about 20 minutes to the ocean park, too. You would think it would be more expensive, or a dump, but no, it's really clean and charming, and the staff is awesome. Thank you, Raquel, for the quick save with my laundry the day before we left! Loved the sweet rooftop patio and the older gentlemen playing guitars. Talk about ambiance!

A great place to pass the night”
Well located, you can find transportation and almost everything you need for your stay. The room was immaculately cleaned which said a lot about the maintenance the place has. I have been there for a few days but everything went fine, the personnel treated me with courtesy and every time I need something, the room service was pretty fast. Decent food, very tasteful. I loved the coffee was hmmm, excellent! (They told me Rona prepared it). I'm thankful for everything.

You won’t feel like you’re at some hotel as you will feel like at home. Management is super-fast and we don’t have to wait for anything we want. History comes to life”
It's not every day you get to stay in a UNESCO World Heritage site! This historic hotel is mere footsteps away from San Agustin Museum and Church, and a short walk away from Manila Cathedral, Ft. Santiago (named after St. James the Moor-slayer, due to a legend he appeared centuries after his death to fight at the Battle of Clavijo) and Rizal Park (which has an 18-hole gold course). The hotel is very budget-friendly, especially when you consider the location. If you're into architecture, you owe it to yourself to check this place out and see one of the few places in Manila where the Spanish influence is preserved (not all of it dates back to the colonial period, but an honest effort is made to make it look original). The hotel offers "electric chariot" (think Segway) tours of Intramuros for a fee--worth the trip. The hotel also has a restaurant, the Coco Bango Cafe and Restaurant, which serves Filipino and American cuisine. You definitely get your money's worth here!

Cozy staycay! Sulit!”
The staff are very accommodating. Hindi mahirap magrequest, mababait sila. We loved our stay here, parang narelax kami ng bongga haha Sheets are clean, beddings and pillows are super comfy and mabangooo. Despite being an old hotel, the facilities, furnitures, and equipments are well maintained. Complete din ang toiletries and malinis ang towels. Maganda din yung aesthetic ng hotel, timeless. Bagay na bagay siya sa Intramuros feels especially when you want that classic Manila experience ❤️ We will definitely come back here!

Charmingly rustic”
This hotel has a wonderful, rustic and nostalgic charm about it as it's in an old building. Despite that though, the rooms were very nice and modern with comfortable appointments. The location is fantastic with lots of cool buildings and whatnot right nearby. Staff was excellent. They were always ready to help and give good tips on where to go.

The hotel is finely located at the center of the UNESCO heritage site which I love so much. It had such beautiful designs too. Then the service, very exceptional, can’t remember the last time I got such a warm welcome. Everything was handled so professionally and just in time. I and my wife were practically treated like royalty. I think their customer service has raised the bar so high for other hotels to keep up with. I’m definitely visiting again

History brought to life”
It was a great experience. Imagine sleeping and waking up in a once upon a time, the center and richest place in the Philippines. It is like living in the Spanish era. Visiting the walled city on a day tour is different from actually experiencing staying there for 2 days or so. Like you have lived another time in the past with the antiquity of the hotel and the whole of Intramuros. Worth the experience.

Great place to stay in Manila”
This place was recommended to me by a friend who stays there when he and his wife come to Manila. It is a very old Spanish-style hotel located Intramuros - a small city-sized enclosure surrounded by battlements. It is close to other historical sites and attractions. The church and convent just across the road are highly recommended. The hotel is clean, neat and tidy. The atmosphere is informal, relaxing and intimate. My room was a generous size; the bathroom was suitably modern. I had some trouble with internet connection/drop-out.

Elegant, historic”
Beautiful updated accommodations in an old historic building, entire block a maze of restaurants , shops and museum made of stone blocks. Surrounded by cobblestone streets. Very romantic. Restaurant in hotel excellent. Barbara’s restaurant next door puts on wonderful dinner show.

Maganda naman yung room pwede na at malaki pwede tlga for wedding preparation pag yung venue mo sa loob ng intramuros. Mababait din yung mga staff. Yung problema lang yung parking wala sila sariling parkingan

The place is cozy. The room we got is I think right in the corner. I find it uncomfortable because there's a glass window that wasn't covered with curtain and it's in front of the rest room. (Well, a bit to adjacent to) but still uncomfortable that when you go out of the restroom you fear someone might be looking from the outside. Although there a mini fridge placed there, a big part still isn't covered. Toiletries are provided. There's no rug in the room. I think it's important special when coming out of the shower. For slippers, you have to pay for them. Unlike other hotels where they're provided. It's hard to reach front desk or maybe the phone isn't working. There's a lot of static. Upon booking the room, it states in the standard room which I booked. It has queen size bed which I think perfect for couples but when we got there there are two separate beds. There's a heater in the shower. Also, a water heater for your coffee. They provided cups for coffee but no spoon to stir. Since, i bring my own cutlery. I don't have an issue with that, guess have to mention it for other travellers. Staff are polite and helpful. It was a nice stay overall. I just wished when you dial 0 for front desk they pick up.
