Good place not far from the park”
This Hotel offers chalets that are spacious and clean. It is not far from the park and if a good value for the money. We did enjoy our stay at the Xcape Resort at Taman Negara and especially enjoyed the Taman Negara Park. This hotel is a good value for the money and is a good choice when visiting Taman Negara.

This Hotel offers chalets that are spacious and clean. It is not far from the park and if a good value for the money. We did enjoy our stay at the Xcape Resort at Taman Negara and especially enjoyed the Taman Negara Park. This hotel is a good value for the money and is a good choice when visiting Taman Negara.

Descent place for good price”
We have spend in Xcape Resort one night with friends. Initially we planed budget trip, thus looked for cheep accommodation with good feedbacks. The hotel consist of few buildings and a bunch of bungalows. Rooms are clean and equipped with A/C, staff is friendly and helpful as we had been attacked by bloodsuckers who are everywhere in Taman Negara jungle, receptionist did the best providing us with cream and medical patch to cure the wounds.

Good location to the Taman Negara resort and friendly & helpful staff. Room was very large, clean and serviced every day (we stayed 4 nights). Breakfast was very good, coffee, toast and local offerings. Air con was good and needed in the jungle and although the room was a little overpriced for Malaysia, given the accommodation in Kuala Tahan is either very overpriced resorts or 10 MYR dorm bunks, this was a good option. There is only wifi in the hotel reception area which can get a little flaky with the number of users.

A few things could be done to significantly improve guests' experience at Xcape Resort. Firstly, a better wifi connection is needed. Wifi was only available in the lobby with a VERY poor reception. It appeared that only a limited number of people could connect to the wifi at a time, and even then, the Internet was extremely slow. Secondly, the pool area needs regular maintenance. On my first night at the resort, I could smell the chlorine from a distance (a good thing), but on my last day, the water in the pool looked cloudy and definitely needed cleaning. Lastly and maybe most importantly, the photos provided by the resorts website of the rooms available (private rooms) are NOT AT ALL what is provided. I found this quite outrageous as I was expecting more. That being said, the room itself was fine, comfortable, had air conditioning - my complaint is that a room should be advertised as is and not as something more glamorous than the truth. Positives include a great location within Taman Negara and a great complimentary buffet breakfast (not complimentary if you book the 4-bed dorm room).

Very good..!! Upon check-in, the receptionist (Siti Zulaikha) was very helpful in explaining to us the activities available around Taman Negara, at length. She gave us some advice and recommendations to fill up our days. Besides the adventure of exploring the jungle, the best part was having simple breakfast 'kampung style' just around the corner (literally). There are also few floating restaurants on the river that serve local & western foods, day & night. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Taman Negara, not really at the hotel (because we just came back to take shower and sleep) but the green surrounding, quiet environment and easy 'kampung' life. Definitely will come back again - just to relax.

3D2N really a fabulous stay!!! Given 1st nite a dormitary of 6-doublebed bcoz of late booking over Agoda but offered a very reasonable price (RM 150 per dormitary means per bed of six only RM 25!!!). 2nd nite given upgraded to 3-bedding room Deluxe Room for RM 250 (just top-up another RM 100 of the initial dormitory price) without b'fast bcoz we want to experience local eateries surrounding providing multiple choices of b'fast menu on the way to the dock/jetty which is just a 5-minute drive or 10-minute morning walk. Thanks a lot to a friendly front-desk receptionists. Really Enjoy our whole stay with fabulous experience exploring the Kuala Tahan National Park

i am very lucky that i have chosen the woodland ressort. the room was tidy and cleaned every day. the pool is the perfect relaxing place after trecking in taman negara. the ressort is very close to the river - 5 minutes walk to the boats to get over to taman negara. and there are only few mosquitos on this side of the river.

Best hotel in Kuala Tahan”
I stayed with a large group of 7 people. In Kuala Tahan, this is probably the nicest hotel. The rooms were pretty clear (for a small rainforest town), the shower was hot, and the staff friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was not the best, but their ala carte menu items were certainly delicious for breakfast and supper. The pool was AWESOME for after a day in the jungle.

I stayed with a large group of 7 people. In Kuala Tahan, this is probably the nicest hotel. The rooms were pretty clear (for a small rainforest town), the shower was hot, and the staff friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was not the best, but their ala carte menu items were certainly delicious for breakfast and supper. The pool was AWESOME for after a day in the jungle.

Clean basic accommodation. No TV but who need one in the forest? Good food, friendly staff and they also offered many packages to Taman Negara at reasonable price. Highly recommended but Parking space was quite limited.

3 days 2 nights (Superior Quad Chalet)”
The hotel is located close to the jetty, just a 3 mins walk to catch the boat going into taman negara. The staffs are friendly and helpful. We (a group of 4) stayed in the superior quad chalet. The room is spacious with a small balcony to chill and enjoy the view. It is equipped with air-conditioning (no fan), a mini fridge and water heater (however, the shower head is too low for some of us). The breakfast included was not so good. Though the room and surrounding grounds were clean during the day, it is expected to be crawling with insects/bugs during the night. Just remember to switch on the lights outside the room to minimize bugs from entering. Overall, my group was satisfied with our stay.

Nice Clean Hotel with good location”
Stay was wonderful at the woodland resort as it was nicely located with 8-10 mins walk to the taman negara national park,easy access to public transport as well,clean rooms but with few insects inside and outside the room as it was near the jungle,nice friendly staff,hi speed internet,nice breakfast and friendly staff
